Is it bad to be impatient when I haven't even reached 40 weeks yet? I really want baby to come out and am feeling quite grey right now. Due Monday but not realistically expecting anything to happen then. Sorry to be really moany!

equimum I've been impatient since 37 weeks, now I'm just getting angry. Fat, immobile and angry isn't a winning combination.

I've been having the odd contraction, no painful ones, just a wierd feeling and realising the bump is hard. I'm pretty sure the bean still isn't engaged. Spent some time being "romantic" with DP... Hope it helps encourage the bean to at least move down!

Anyone else having poo problems? the last couple of days (sorry, TMI alert) I've been really windy and a bit constipated, it seems its either that or the opposite

Not much happening here either, getting painful Braxton hicks but they about half hour apart so nowt to get excited about

I've been impatient since 34 weeks think this is because I've had so many hospital visits and both DD and DS came before 37 weeks and were healthy I just assumed this one would be early too. I really should be grateful he's still cooking but am in a lot of pain and can hardly walk. Oh god I moan sooooo much

Hello all, been catching up, congratulations to all the new arrivals .

I was due on the 20th but nothing going on. Had a sweep on my due date but it doesn't seem to have done anything .

Just been to do my Christmas food shop in the hope my waters went in Waitrose & I might get a load of John Lewis vouchers or something but no such luck!

Weirdly, I feel calmer now I've gone past my due date. Think it's because I'm not counting down to the due date & I'm just trying to focus on Christmas now.

Wonder how many Christmas Day babies we'll have on this thread?!

nutella I'm having poo problems, can't go but when I need to it needs to be straight away. Poo has taken over weeing too much as my main toilet complaint.
spice jealous you got a sweep on your due date, my midwife wouldn't offer me one until the 24th and in efforts to avoid a Christmas baby I've gone for 27th instead.

Spice perhaps you could pop back to waitrose tomorrow and linger? Or better yet, march up and down the aisles to get things going

Daydream I've eaten loads of veggies and clementines and drunk loads of water and juice today... Really hoping it helps!

Quick update. They put in the pessary (tape) and sent me home. Phone all at 3:30am to check progress, then back to ward 3:30pm tomorrow. Hoping something starts overnight. Time to try and get some sleep now.

Well I'm opposite of stacks. Was due to go in for induction tomorrow (later today now) but hospital rang to say they had beds tonight, would we mind if they rang anytime. We agreed as now I'm comfortable with idea of induction, why wait? So we're just about to leave.

Dtd with dp last night and had sweep today so hoping that will have got things going a little bit and can join the quick and healthy births soon. Baby by tomorrow eve?

It's officially my birthday, I'm having some cramps but think its the earlier mentioned poo issues rather than labour, although I'd happily have a birthday baby if it means it's all over. I've made DP promise he'll go get me some cake if I end up going to hospital today since the only special thing I have planned is tea and cake at a posh patisserie in town.

oooh, happy induction to those going in! Nothing doing here, though I have, like spice found myself chilling out a bit since I got past my due date. Now I'm trying to work out what to do for Christmas! have dug the turkey out of the freezer! wondering if I should brine it . . .

Am on the ctg waiting for first pessary. Think this is going to be long process after all. Been told my plan of water birth is not happening as once transferred to labour ward I will be on constant monitoring. Oh well, wHatever best for lo. Just going to have try and be as mobile as I can I guess.

Right pessary in, going to try and get some sleep.
