mydaydream yes the drink worked and got a sharp kick in my ribs for waking him up I think Grin

ISpyDingDongMerrilyOnHigh · 21/12/2012 08:39

Congratulations Ivana Thanks.

Good luck Blackcurrants.

emilyeggs · 21/12/2012 09:07

Congratulations ivana, wonderful news to wake up to Thanks

MyDaydream · 21/12/2012 10:24

Congratulations ivana and good luck blackcurrants. I'm hoping I can jump on board this new baby rush, but I'm fairly sure the stomach pains I'm having at the minute are more to do with having lebkuken and gummy bears for dinner last night rather than labour.
hormonal glad baby started moving for you.

ivanapoo · 21/12/2012 10:35

Thank you everyone, it does seem to be a bumper month for boys!

Good luck blackcurrants and mydaydream x

blackcurrants · 21/12/2012 10:48

humph- things died down enough for me to get another hour's sleep, Grin

but have just woken and think we are really going for it. or at least I hope so. sending DH to work, but he is only 15 mins away.

blackcurrants · 21/12/2012 10:50

I already know this is a boy.- so funny when I had DS1 everyone in the world was having a girl, or that is how it felt! now it is definitely boytownSmile

yuletopian99 · 21/12/2012 11:01

Congratulations ivana and good luck blackcurrants!

Going for a walk here in the hope it kicks things off..

WillYuleDoTheFandango · 21/12/2012 11:45

Congrats Ivana, Ellie and pgmkt enjoy you're lovely little bundles Thanks

I'm well and truly into hormonal sobbing territory today!

WillYuleDoTheFandango · 21/12/2012 11:49

And good luck Blackcurrants hope this is it for you.

I had a positive induction nicnac. it was painful but worth it and I'd do it all again tomorrow if I had to. I got myself nice and prepared so I was already a little underway when they induced. I did raspberry leaf, bouncing and sexing not simultaneously

blackcurrants · 21/12/2012 12:41

Well, it's all died down again Hmm
Honestly, I think this is the world's most irritating foetus. None of this happened with DS1...
Got another sweep in 4 hours. . . then it's hold on and see if we get a bundle before, or after Christmas!

JoJoB77 · 21/12/2012 12:57

Sorry its all died down blackcurrants Hmm

Im so bored of this now, just want to meet my baby. Been having backache/period pains for a little while but nothing to get excited about.

Sweep on christmas eve (nice birthday present)...

MyDaydream · 21/12/2012 14:22

blackcurrants my mum has a theory the second ones are always trouble! Hope your sweep does something, maybe it'll just push it over the edge and you'll be cuddling a baby tonight/tomorrow.
My dad keeps calling for news and he has this wonderful talent of winding me up and I need more than a couple of days to stop being angry after speaking to him but he's not giving me chance to calm down before calling again. It's getting very difficult to stay civil towards him. I feel very sorry for DP because I switch between ranting about how uncomfortable I am, ranting about how annoyed I am at my dad and asking him to get stuff for me!

yuletopian99 · 21/12/2012 14:34

Snap jojo, I have a sweep on Christmas eve too! Mind you, had one on Tuesday that did nothing, so fully expecting to be here till induction..

blackcurrants · 21/12/2012 14:34

MyDaydream time for some selective call-screening, maybe? I remember being driven absolutely MAD by it all, last time around. I got quite scary about it, clearly, cos people aren't doing the same this time! Grin

I think your mum's theory is probably sound... certainly if it increases, cos I'm a third and I was ever so much trouble!

Hormonalhell · 21/12/2012 14:54

Well this is my third and he definitely the most trouble!! I keep saying shall I call him Damien Grin

Been for a scan, all is well baby weighing 5lb 15 which they are happy with. I saw him sticking his tongue out and DD came with me and thought it was amazing!! It was really clear though, so now have an amazing pic of his face SmileSmile

Terrywoganstrousers · 21/12/2012 14:55

I had about three hours of mild contractions last night, we got all excited/ nervous and then when i went to bed everything stopped Hmm

Now i've switched to hoping it won't all kick off because DP has gone to work overnight four hours drive away. He'll come straight home if things start up again but i'm not sure he'd make it, as I'm really reluctant to get him home for nothing so I'd probably end up not saying anything until i'm in established labour!
He's coming home in the morning but in the meantime..... Am relaxing with feet up as the contractions keep starting up every time I walk about and stop when i lie down.
Also had a day of vomiting all day yesterday and (TMI, sorry!) a loose clear out from the other end in the night, so things are hotting up a bit!
SIL had her baby last night too so my competitive side is kicking in Grin

DP is driving me mad, keeps ringing every hour or so just to check on me Grin

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 21/12/2012 14:58

hormonal lucky you getting a face pic! Ds decided to have his hands over his face for our growth scan do we got nothing! Lol I'm making up for it with photos now though!

itsMYNutella · 21/12/2012 17:18

Terry things are sounding very positive with you, of course it probably helps that your DP is so far away!! Wink

hormonal DP really wanted to have a 3D scan of baby but whenever Dr
scanned me the bean was always looking into my pelvis so it wouldn't work at all, no face pics here since early on when it was a fuzzy profile. Poor DP Smile

Terrywoganstrousers · 21/12/2012 17:47

Not a whiff of labour this evening so far (I know i should be pleased as DP so far but still secretly disappointed!)
Ah so.
I should be getting last minute bits and bobs done but am actually on my arse on sofa contemplating ordering a pizza Grin
If I make it a spicy one, would you think I could claim it was medicine?

MyDaydream · 21/12/2012 17:50

terry hope your baby stays in until DP gets home tomorrow. I'm sure there's nothing like a long distance dash to get things moving.
Today is being a big let down, no baby and the curtains I ordered that were supposed to be delivered today haven't come either. We were going to do some "try to get baby moving" DIY tomorrow, obviously not.

emilyeggs · 21/12/2012 18:02

Evening ladies, sounds like we have some on/off signs of labour for some of you. Nothing happening hear, just a very wriggly baby. I'm convinced I'll be the last one wondering around on this thread all on my own while the rest of you are over in post natal. I'm 39 weeks today and wish bubs would give my ribs a rest, it's getting very painful and stitch like.
