Hormonalhell · 16/12/2012 22:06

Ohmigod we all feel same, what a bunch!! Just a shame we all can't go into labour, get out bodies back and have our little bubba's Smile

Hormonalhell · 16/12/2012 22:07

I'm also hacked off with my own uterus yule feel like stabbing it with a knitting needle Shock

ellliebelle · 16/12/2012 22:12

Well ive just had the spiciest curry my delicate mouth can handle going to bounce on my ball and mabey try some romance at bed time although i have kimd of come to terms with the fact baby will come when ready and wont stay in there forever.

Anyone got any idea how dilated you can be without being in labour i know its daft but after being 4-5 cm yesterday im tempted to see my midwife tomorrow or tues to see if anything has changed

Hormonalhell · 16/12/2012 22:41

I thought it was labour as soon as u dilate and was meant to be agony when u 4cm!!! U must be made of strong stuff elliebelle Grin

2blessed · 16/12/2012 23:21

Congratulations gils hope you're both feeling better soon.

I am absolutely exhausted. Today was my housewarming/baby shower and we had a great time.

Got a bit of heartburn tonight...

Hormonalhell · 16/12/2012 23:40

I had it last night 2blessed was nasty!! Had to go to sleep sat up !!

Tonight am awake cos I'm having the odd twinge and the baby is going crazy, stretching and nudging and tbh it's quite painful!

emilyeggs · 17/12/2012 00:40

Well the insomnia has reared it's ugly head again Confused just can't keep still and fed up to the max Sad

yuletopian99 · 17/12/2012 01:49

Just been woken by hideous cramp. Not sure how long this will take, dh is being lovely, despite me flipping out earlier this eve. I've had the world sending texts, which i know is only because people are excited, but a due date means almost nothing, and what do they think - i might give birth and we'll just keep it a secret?

Plus, it feels (to my paranoid mind,) like my pils are asking one or other of us at least twice a day, and i know it's their first grand child but it's our family, at the moment i feel like a surrogate mother everyone else thinks could try harder to just push him out..

yuletopian99 · 17/12/2012 01:50

Sorry for the rant Blush, I'm.just frustrated. Pils are lovely people I never have issues with normally!

WillYuleDoTheFandango · 17/12/2012 03:02

Hi all, James (Jamie) was born this afternoon at 3:56pm weighing 7lb 4oz 25hours after induction and after 12h of labour. Birth story to follow.

Congratulations Gils, hope everything's okay with you both Thanks

Still in hospital stuffing self with sweet treats and staring at my little bundle! Xmas Grin No colostrum at all as of yet so having to top up with formula to keep his sugars up. 2.5h til next feed off for some shut eye

pmgkt · 17/12/2012 03:04

Rant away!

I'm awake still, a baby on the ward has not stopped crying all night, and its keeping me up. If I were the mum I'd be sending it back for a refund!

pmgkt · 17/12/2012 03:05

Congrats willyule

Bellaboo123 · 17/12/2012 03:07

Lol pmgkt! Hope you manage some sleep!

Congrats willyou and James looking forward to the birth story.

Yule it's good to rant...you're on the home straight now. Has MW said anything about a sweep now you're officially overdue?

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 17/12/2012 03:55

Congrats, willyule.

Woken up by heartburn from hell. If this baby has floated back up from being engaged I shall not be amused.

Hormonalhell · 17/12/2012 04:31

I'm here too bunty just woke with the tightenings and also baby going crazy inside!!Sad

Scaring me cos I keep thinking the cord could around his neck and he struggling or summat like that!! Not helping me sleep one bit!!

Terrywoganstrousers · 17/12/2012 05:38

I'm so awake I've had to get up and come downstairs for half an hour! Having some vague tightenings but think its just BH, baby is going mad in between and kneeing me etc so I've retreated to the sofa for now.

Walnut8 · 17/12/2012 05:58

congrats willyule and gils Thanks ... hope you and baby are okay gils

2blessed · 17/12/2012 06:37

Congrats willyule, sounds like one of the longest labours on here - hope you get some rest!

LO let me sleep through last night -sooo pleased- and is now having a good morning workout.

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 17/12/2012 07:42

hormonal am sure baby is fine - they don't like contractions, though! I had an hour or so last night of contractions (got really excited, then they petered out!), and my little lady was not amused!

They'll have done something though: hopefully my sweep on Wednesday will show more dilation and kick things off!

Stacks · 17/12/2012 07:50

Up early this morning for midwife appointment. I'm now 40+8 and was promised a sweep today. She cancelled the last sweep as baby was in wrong position. Hoping he's moved today, but don't think he has Hmm

Congrats to new arrivals. Can't remember names just now, too tired!

ISpyDingDongMerrilyOnHigh · 17/12/2012 07:55

CongratulationsWillyule and welcome Jamie Thanks.

JoJoB77 · 17/12/2012 08:04

Congratulations willyule and welcome Jamie Thanks

ellie i can't believe you are not in established labour?? I needed to go to the hospital at that stage last time, was in so much pain!

Well u've just fallen over in the kitchen and did the splits Blush. Baby is moving around now but i think it shook me up more! Poor DH has probably done his back in getting me back up, i couldn't move!

I'm getting all the 'any signs?' texts already and i'm only due today Angry. I know people are only excited but i really would let them all know if i'd had the baby!

Hope all well Smile

itsMYNutella · 17/12/2012 08:12

Congratulations Gils &willyule!
Hope you are feeling better today gils and that your LO is doing well!

Had a relaxing day yesterday, we went out for brunch, came home, had a nap and went to an art fair thing in the late afternoon. It was great!

Last night I did some gentle yoga and hip rotating to help back pain & to relax before bed. It seems to have worked! Got up for usual toilet trips and was awake for a bit but had much more sleep than I have in days!!! Grin feel sooo much better today!

SpottyTeacakes · 17/12/2012 08:17

WillYule Congratulations! Hope you are enjoying your newborn snuggles
