Congratulations Queen! Great to hear all stories, like emily says. The important bit is the end result :)

Good luck willyule. Looking forward to more baby news later!

Congratulations queen, hope you have a quick recovery.
Good luck willyule.
I've woken up a bit freaked out that I'm having a baby soon! I obviously knew the result of pregnancy, but who thought it was a good idea to let me have one? I've never even had a pet to look after before.

ellliebelle · 15/12/2012 09:30

conratulations queen and well donr yousound very brave and positive about what must have been quite a scary experience. So glad babyqueen has arrived safely and is doing well :)

Good luck willyou hoping there will be a couple more birth announcements today :)

Good luck WillYule and hope everything's going well Gils.

RudolphTheRedNosedGiraffe · 15/12/2012 11:18

Congratulations queen wishing you a quick recovery!

SpottyTeacakes · 15/12/2012 11:29

ellie your baby is just going to fall out! Grin I was asking for an epidural at 5cm! Blush

HoneyMumandSon · 15/12/2012 11:30

Wow ellie how on earth are you not in labour?! Your LO obviously is enjoying the warmth too much to venture outside. Sounds like s/he is hanging on to the sides!

emilyeggs · 15/12/2012 11:47

Quick question ladies, do you always get a show before you go into labour? Will I see it a few days before ? Also do I have to wait for waters to break before going to hospital? I probably sound stupid Blush

emilyeggs · 15/12/2012 11:49

Just to add, I know sometimes the mw breaks the water but I was thinking this is if you've been induced hmmm!

SpottyTeacakes · 15/12/2012 11:50

You don't always get a show and no you don't have to wait for your waters to go Smile my waters went an hour before ds was born and I was about 7cm already

ellliebelle · 15/12/2012 12:14

emily i didnt have a show with either of the dd's i have this time but am guessing its cause of the sweep. Also with dd2 my waters went about 5 mins before she was born i would say go to hospital when contractions are regular and painful

Walnut8 · 15/12/2012 13:03

good luck willyule, hope it goes smoothly.

Congrats queen, sounds like you have done brilliantly. I hope your recovery goes well.

Hope all is going well gils

Congrats to the other recent births too!

ellie I hope you live close to the hospital?! Xmas Shock!

Walnut8 · 15/12/2012 13:05

Thanks Fod and barbeasty Smile

ISpyDingDongMerrilyOnHigh · 15/12/2012 14:10

Emily - I didn't have a show until I was actually in labour both times. Waters only went about 30 seconds before N was born. Bit different with DS1 as was induced, but was in very established labour before they went with him too. Think both of my boys wanted to hold on to everything as long as possible! So the short answers based on my experience are no and no Grin.

emilyeggs · 15/12/2012 16:15

Thanks Grin it will stop me going crazy looking for signs and getting frustrated....still have 2 weeks till edd so will stop looking

brooke89 · 15/12/2012 16:50

Emily my show wasn't as described lol i had snail trail and there really wasn't much - also waters I had a tiny amount which I had been having for a week before and thought was discharge. Mw didn't advice me to come up until my waters had gone fully but I lied and said I'd lost more because I knew something was going on and I was 4cm at this point!

Terrywoganstrousers · 15/12/2012 17:54

Well ladies we have been to Nandos today, and I have basically burnt off my taste buds through overuse of the extra extra hot sauce in the black bottle. Hoping to drive this baby out by force!
I am now at home in pyjamas with backache hoping feebly its the start of labour (but I imagine its more likely to just be backache!)

SpottyTeacakes · 15/12/2012 18:50

Mmmm I LOVE Nandos!

itsMYNutella · 15/12/2012 18:59

Save me some please Terry! Can't get anything even remotely as spicy as NANDOS Xmas Envy god I'd love some spicy chicken right now! Nom nom nom nom.....

Well I have stamped and sent my letter to Santa. Needed to add a bit about stretch marks.... My belly button still hasn't popped, but last night DP reckoned it was close and of course I can't see it so he took a picture for me... Under my belly button there aren't really stretch marks so much as red splodges that look like they might become stretch marks. Damn you bean! Is it not enough that you kept me awake the last two nights and I carry you to the toilet almost every hour on the hour?

Had some massive pains, low down in the bump, while out doing a little Christmas shopping today; could that be the bean moving into position/ engaging?
