willyule my bubz gets violent hiccups!! I feel like I hiccup along with him as my whole torso moves with each hiccup and they last forever!!

Awww cookies glad u got your much awaited bundle Smile

mydaydream yes bubz was doing that last night to me too felt like he was literally bashing on my tummy, hiccuping 'let me out now!' Grin

Think that's wishful thinking on my part!!

Hormonalhell · 13/12/2012 08:42

Grin at mouldy puby baths queen, yes I've experienced those was in hosp 3 days and shower looked grottier so had no choice - think my fear of going into labour unwashed geared me into it!!

2blessed · 13/12/2012 10:01

Eugh! So not looking forward to hospital bathing facilities.

At the risk of sounding stupid, I can't work out lo hiccups. What do they feel/sound like?

SpottyTeacakes · 13/12/2012 10:12

My hospital showers were really clean, it's not three years old yet though. Jealous of all you ladies still to have babies (you can't beat that 'I just had a baby!' feeling) Grin

pmgkt · 13/12/2012 10:14

Hiccups are when you feel little flutters or jumps but in a rythum.

Baby is now lying oblique breech so lying head top left, feet bottom right. Not quite right is it!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/12/2012 10:20

Goodness pmgkt is your bump massive due to all the fluid?

pmgkt · 13/12/2012 10:26

Spotty I think it is smaller than last time, so I'm not sure whether I had the same last time, but it was just undetected, or maybe that all I remember is the bump at 42 weeks. Either way I'm finding this more restrictive cos in certain positions I can't bend over very well, but other times I'm ok.

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 13/12/2012 11:20

Congratulations, cookie!

ellliebelle · 13/12/2012 11:55

Congratulations cookie beautiful name choice :) same as my dd1 and we also call her belle :)

Im at diabetic clinic again.....had scan baby is just above 50th centile for head and tummy so growth has either slowed or sonographer suggested last measurements were prob wrong (so all that stress for nothing )

Diabetic consultant happy with levels and scan results and happy for homebirth but has prescribed insulin drip for if i need to be transfered

Obs done sweep said she would be surprised if it didnt put me in labour in 72 hours..... Was quite painful but over with now cervix is soft thin short and 2-3 cm dialated

Hormonalhell · 13/12/2012 12:01

Wanna trade places spotty I'm bricking the labour!!!Grin

Hormonalhell · 13/12/2012 12:03

2blessed my bump jerks when he has hiccups I feel like I have them too!

brooke89 · 13/12/2012 12:08

It's really not that bad hormonal

I have managed to sneak off for a bath so catching up Smile Ahhh bliss! When I said before I thought I'd get more sleep with a newborn than I do being pregnant I was very wrong!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/12/2012 12:18

That's good news ellie Smile

Hormonalhell · 13/12/2012 12:21

brooke I think these Braxton hicks are eye watering so am dreading real thing!! Just been for a walk down to midwife n slipped on the frost Shock just fell on to one knee and was more embarrassed than anything!! Hoping it kick starts me Grin

Hormonalhell · 13/12/2012 12:22

Oh god yes sleep deprivation a killer brooke , I got no-one to pass this one over to this time either

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 13/12/2012 12:25

I'm getting more sleep with a newborn and it's better quality sleep too. Even though DH does nothing at night. So it is possible, just depends on baby.

RudolphTheRedNosedGiraffe · 13/12/2012 12:51

I'll have one like yours then Stacey Smile I'm getting more and more tired each day from constant toilet trips and lack of comfortable sleeping positions!

MyDaydream · 13/12/2012 12:55

2blessed I hate the feeling of hiccups they feel like constant shudders for however long he has them for. Like little light taps either on my lower bump or cervix. When he has them its every other second for quite a long time.
Baby went on for hours last night and whenever I got up for the toilet he started again. He really did think it was party time! Just hoping its a one off rather than a new routine.

2blessed · 13/12/2012 13:32

Aha! Thanks!

I think labour is going to be a real shock to me as I've barely had any braxton hicks and only slight period style cramps over last week or so. Now I've got time on my hands I'm getting nervous... Xmas Confused

brooke89 · 13/12/2012 14:25

Hopefully she'll settle down soon - she just thinks its snuggle only on mummy time at night and sleep in Moses basket during the day!

I didn't have any Braxton hicks, my bump went hard so no pain but contractions felt like bad back ache that moved on to a period pain to me. Up until 5cm I was still layed on my sofa eating pizza Grin plus you get the drugs hormonal the gas and air knocked me right out. DP keeps telling me things I was saying inbetween a contraction like I love James cordon and apparently I kept expressing my love to the midwife haha

Hormonalhell · 13/12/2012 14:56

I'm only having gas and air as I had epidural last time and it made me violently sick!! Being emetophobic I will do anything to avoid that but was ok with g&a.

2blessed · 13/12/2012 15:29

I'm trying to avoid epidural, hoping I can cope just with tens machine and gas + air.

RudolphTheRedNosedGiraffe · 13/12/2012 15:35

That's my plan/hope too 2blessed, though I'm aware that I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to pain! If it came to it I think I'd rather have the drugs than an epidural though as I'm really scared they might paralyse me if I moved at the wrong time or something (I'm sure it's an irrational fear but it still feels real).

JoJoB77 · 13/12/2012 15:59

I'll have anything thats offered if i feel i need it although as i'm going to the local mlu the most they will give is g&a and pethidine i think Hmm.

I managed last time with just TENS and gas & air so we shall see...

Honeycantthinkofanxmasnickname · 13/12/2012 16:00

Pethidine rocks. But did make me sick before the MW gave me the antiemetic!
