Does your finger sort of slip in to it?

Passmethecrisps · 10/11/2012 22:28

What does fatima? Your cervix?

I said to my DH the other day that I wouldn't know where to find my cervix. He found that hilarious

TheDetective · 10/11/2012 22:30

I've never been able to find mine. I have short fingers.

I can give a mean sweep though Grin. Just not on myself :(

MissMummy1 · 10/11/2012 22:35

DH says I'm more emotionally stable than I ever was on the pill Hmm... Given I have either cried or shouted at him every day for the last 8 months (sometimes both, sometimes because I love him, other times because I hate him, but usually because I don't know how I feel!) I don't really know what to make of that! I think we've resigned ourselves to using condoms. We both hate them but hormonal contraception doesn't work with me.

MissMummy1 · 10/11/2012 22:39
  • more emotionally stable pregnant
TheDetective · 10/11/2012 22:39

I can't believe I've just been googling how to get larger condoms!!! Blush

DP had a regular habit of destroying the bastards Hmm.

TheDetective · 10/11/2012 22:46

DP and I have been musing on pregnancy... I've decided that this whole overdue thing is like having Christmas cancelled when you wake on Christmas morning and rearranged for an 'unknown day in the future'.

DP compared my delivery dates to be as accurate as Argos and Yodel haha!

FatimaLovesBread · 10/11/2012 23:18

I didn't dare poke it too much. Might inspect again tomorrow Smile

Been for a gorgeous meal for DHs birthday. Could only just fit my bump in the chair though

Iheartpasties · 10/11/2012 23:27

Debussy congratulations!!

Passmethecrisps · 10/11/2012 23:33

Ack! I forgot to congratulate debussy. Congrats lady! Moar babies

TheDetective · 10/11/2012 23:35

I'm building myself up to the shag. Close your eyes and think of England Detective....

Morning Pasties!

Iheartpasties · 10/11/2012 23:43

morning!

Iheartpasties · 10/11/2012 23:44

It's sunny and lush here - but i am too grumpy to go out and enjoy it! I just had a bagel for breaky and then two massive double choc cookies and I feel proper sick. bleurgh.

Iheartpasties · 11/11/2012 00:09

detective must be off shagging.

TheDetective · 11/11/2012 00:10

I'm definitely not shagging. Yet. Psyching oneself up to the ordeal again!!!!

I'm just sat here. Bored.

Grin
TheDetective · 11/11/2012 00:11

I think we may be low on toilet roll.

This means I should not shag. Yes?

Iheartpasties · 11/11/2012 00:17

You use a toilet roll in your shag-anigans?

GTbaby · 11/11/2012 00:23

Just read a little.
Been thinking of contraception as well. Although the thought if sex actually scares me post tear. I'm still to scared to look down there. N in sure the dr said stitches take 6 weeks to dissolve. So sex is not happening any time soon, but thought contraception needs to b sorted ASAP.
We have only have used a condom once n that was a faff! I have been on pill. N when I came off that used withdrawal (only 2 months so don't know if its actually effective) until we were ready to start trying properly.

I thought I'd go with the coil ( not great at remembering to take pill) . N as someone mentioned up thread. Seems to b what grown ups do after they have had babies. NOW after having a pessary inserted, a sweep and an examination I don't think I can have a coil fitted.
Does anyone have experience of having a coil fitted? Compared to examinations? How bad is it.

Cacacaz · 11/11/2012 00:51

Paying very close attention to contraceptive talk, I know 3 people who ended up pregnant very soon after having babies! There is only a 14 month gap between my sister and brother. I definitely do not want to end up in that position, thank you very much.

Gt the midwife who took our ante natal classes told us we should aim to have had sex before our 6 week check, I do not imagine many people will follow that advice Blush

Clarella · 11/11/2012 01:03

Wow its all go here! Congratulations to the new mummies!

Fab toilet birth story barmee Shock Grin
Hope you are on the way detective!

I threw a dinner party tonight as you do at 38 weeks and my doctor friend quite quietly and seriously said id looked like i wss having a contraction after i made a random made up pudding involving stewed fruit and puff pastry and then felt crampy and back achey as it took so long and had to lie prone on the sofa for a bit - i just assumed itwas from 6 hours of cooking due to veggies plus carnivores in the house Confused . He also kept looking at my bump and saying how low it was.... dh nhas drunk too much to drive me in tonight! Confused prob go to 40+ 10 now!

Clarella · 11/11/2012 01:04

Just shag detective....

Clarella · 11/11/2012 01:05

I want to check my cervix but been chopping chillis what feels like all day.....

Iheartpasties · 11/11/2012 01:14

Chilli on the cervix, that would start labour for sure! yikes.

Iheartpasties · 11/11/2012 01:20

DH has taken DD out for some park action. I am in the kitchen on hands and knees scrubbing the floor with a scrubbing brush. I think I am mad, but of the baby could come today it would be pretty convenient. Otherwise it needs to stay put until thursday morning when my mum arrives from the UK!

She is going to be in for a shock - it's boiling here!!

OK back to the scrubbing now.

Iheartpasties · 11/11/2012 02:55

Well I dont know that I will be bothering to scrub floors again. Just had a nice long shower and feel lovely and fresh - no labour though. BLT is being prepared by dh. Can't wait.
