trying a syringe is much easier. We moved over to boots own paracetemol suspension, it comes with a syringe and has a neck that fits snug to dose. It works just as well as calpol imo. Penicillin is vile stuff even with the flavouring, I can recommend a nice drink after, I used to like a mixed fruit juice [or Sunny D]. I have had tonsilitus so much when I was younger [and still do] that I still never got used to the taste, but always had something straight after to take the taste away. Also Icelollies are a good way to get fluid into him if he's not drinking, also good at cooling them down a bit if there temp is up.
giddy my BiL had sympathy symptoms including, nausea, stretching pains and a craving for pork pies. [hhmm] [hgrin]
I can say that our local Sainsbury's customer service is much more lacking than the local tesco. I fainted [again] and they got me a chair to sit in the aisle and that was it, no-one checked on me, felt a bit of a hindrance as the aisles are narrow and people passing me stopped to ask if I'm okay. Managed to get a loaf of bread and a pack of bacon in my basket before I keeled over. I'd been into town and had a zillion tasks to do, walked back up the hill to sainsbury's, popped in, fainted, had to walk back up the hill to my car parking space and load up.
At Tesco they took me to the staff room, made me a cup of tea, entertained DD, got me a sandwich [free] and beeeped my shopping through and packed it, had to pay for it [which I expected] and then they went and helped me out to the car and loaded my shopping in.
I'm now on the sofa with marmite toast and ovaltine. DD also had me up at 3am so I'm shattered. She won't even go down for a nap. I am shattered.
