thund You're so lovely! Smile

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 11/11/2012 20:16

thund you'll get your happy healthy pregnancy soon.xxx

Ooh I could just do a Brie and cranberry toasted bap. And on the bap note mine are killing again.

jojo did you manage to go out today?

peardrop2 · 11/11/2012 20:38

Hi ladies, I haven't had phone reception since this morning as I was visiting family in the country. Thunder I'm so saddened to hear your news. I feel Angry and so Sad that this has happened to you. There's absolutely nothing I can say to make it better apart from i think you're so brave. My thoughts are with you and if you're feeling up for it please let us know how you're doing. Sending you hugs xxx

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 11/11/2012 20:44

Hey pear how was your family visit? Was everybody happy with your news today?

peardrop2 · 11/11/2012 20:58

Hey Frus it was nice thanks. I have to admit that I made a bit of a foolish mistake and went for a walk after lunch. I completely forgot what keen walkers they're and I have no idea how but I've done something to my shoulder (i think because conditions were bad so my balance was bad) and I've been cramping terribly since which is a bit of a worry. I was panting up the hills it was so embarrassing. I was just in a awkward situation where I felt I couldn't say anything. I feel like an idiot because I should have said something. Hopefully I've just overdone it this weekend and the cramping will go away soon.

Jojoba1986 · 11/11/2012 21:16

pear cramping is really common when you've been physically active. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about! Have a nice hot warm bath & drink lots!

Today I managed to: get out of bed, get dressed, go to church, have a nice chat with one of a select few friends who know, go to next & buy some comfy cords for when I get a bit bigger, come home feeling v sick & tired, sleep all afternoon, shout at DH when he woke me up at 7 & tickle DS mercilessly on the bed! Grin DH is currently putting him to bed & then we're going to have pizza because I fancied it the other day & demanded that DH buy one... I don't have the heart to tell him I'm not feeling pizza-ish today! Poor bloke keeps making me food that I don't want by the time he's got it to me! Blush

MrsBri · 11/11/2012 21:26

Ha ha, Jojo...my dad would empathise with your DH.

I was born in November 76, so mum was pregnant during that infamous summer. Cue craving for orange ice lollies. In drought / heatwave conditions.

By the time he'd found them she had gone off them too.

Glad you got out of the house though. :-)

peardrop2 · 11/11/2012 21:30

JoJo I'm sure you're absolutely right about dehydration! I'm not very good at drinking water away from home or work. Dumb question but why do you think exercise causes cramping? Is it the movement because we're not so flexible? Awww your DH is a cutie for getting the pizza on Grin

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 11/11/2012 21:38

pear you just need some rest, a lovely warm bath, and plenty of fluids.

jojo yay for getting out!

I've just stuffed myself stupid with admirals pie, im such a pig and now feel sick. But can't remember if I've taken my meds, so unclear as to why I feel so sick, I'm hoping its because I've stuffed myself. Confused I'm hoping I haven't forgotten or tomorrow isn't going to be good.

On a non-whinging note, I've been giggling like mad over the Iceland ads. And rewinding so DH can see how funny they are. He now thinks I've lost the plot. Grin someone tell me it's my hormones.

peardrop2 · 11/11/2012 21:52

Frus I'm sure you're right :-) I've not seen the Iceland ads yet...I'll keep an eye out!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 11/11/2012 22:00

It's the ones that are in the breaks of I'm a celebrity. I'm sure I won't be laughing next time I see them. Grin

It's chilly tonight, I may have to go shopping for a big cuddly jumper and some fluffy bed socks.

bringonthetrumpets · 11/11/2012 22:03

Oh Thunder I've just managed to sign on and see the news. I am so so sorry for what you're going through. You are in my thoughts! I hope the procedure is quick and painless for you. Yes to the wine and sushi!

Blending · 11/11/2012 22:17

Sorry Thunder, you sound like you are coping so far, I was in that position in February, so I understand what you are going through. Be kind to yourself xxx

Jojoba1986 · 12/11/2012 07:04

Anyone else up yet? I've been awake since 2.30! Hmph! It did mean I could collect DS when he woke up at 5 & let DH get a bit more sleep... But I felt a little irritated that he didn't even flinch when I went in! V jealous! Sad Hope everyone else slept better!

MrsBri · 12/11/2012 07:12

I did my usual 4am waking, but due to not having had a nap on the sofa thanks to a huge pile of ironing last night, it didn't last long.

I get up just before 6 every working day. It's very hard. :-/

I've not seen the Iceland ads. I don't watch ITV though. Maybe they'll appear on Channel 4 / More 4 for me to (not) giggle at! I keep crying at adverts. And all sorts of stupid programmes. Cried at Strictly last night. Sigh!

Jojoba1986 · 12/11/2012 07:26

I watched an episode of CSI last night where a child went missing & the mother saw the dead body & was hysterical. I sobbed. Pretty much anything brings tears to my eyes at the moment though! Blush I'm normally v hard-hearted when it comes to TV shows!

Jojoba1986 · 12/11/2012 07:42

I'm drinking tea! I've discovered that it's still nice if it's hot & strong. I used to drink it luke-warm & milky! It's nice to drink something warming & not sweet!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 12/11/2012 08:39

Ugh tea. I can't drink tea at the best of times jojo

I was up at 6. I'm slowly getting used to early mornings without a ton of caffeine. It's still not pretty.

MrsBri · 12/11/2012 08:45

I'm forcing my morning tea down my neck, but don't really enjoy it!

The later in the day it is, the less I enjoy it. Odd!

Lorelei353 · 12/11/2012 11:12

Didn't check in much over the weekend so just seen Thunder's news. If you're still around, hope you're doing okay. You've been so lovely and gracious on here about it, so thank you for that. x

Went to the GP this morning as pain in bum getting worse. She pretty much confirmed my suspicions that it is a bit of early pregnancy sciatica. Yay for me. Hmph. She gave me some exercises to do, told me I could take paracetamol if it gets really bad and otherwise come back if it is still bad in a few weeks. She said it may not last the whole pregnancy. I'm sorry MAY not last? So it could? Argh. I could barely walk when I got up this morning, although it does get better once I'm up and moving about. So painful first thing though.

peardrop2 · 12/11/2012 12:27

Aww Lor I read about that last night as I was wondering if I was showing signs. It doesn't sound nice at all, poor you!! FX it DOES NOT last the whole of your pregnancy!!

I am feeling super super tired and drained. I really want to put my hands up at work and say I'm really really sorry for over doing it at the weekend and this is my news...please let me go home Hmm Not going to happen though!

kittykatskumkwat · 12/11/2012 13:12

Just tuned in to read about poor thunders sad sad news, I hope your taking care of yourself, it's a very cruel way to find out and bless you for thinking of everyone else! Love and hugs and so sorry Sad

I have been away for the wkend and finding it hard to keep up plus dh has had an operation on his arm so I'm having to do alot with dd with getting her ready and picking her up from places plus all the house work etc so hard, may not be able to post as much and have decided to leave the may one as its just too much and too many people but will hopefully be able to keep up with all of your expanding boobs and bellys
Congrats on your scan aswell Nic!
I'm getting nervous about mine now as like thunder said hers stoped at 10wks and that was my fear that an early one makes you feel ok for the time but ofcourse its no guarentee, is yours the same day as mine frus 21st? I had to tell some friends to cover my back but scared now, felt quite low this wkend but is that hormones?
Hope everyone else is doing well x

Jojoba1986 · 12/11/2012 13:24

Urgh. I'm so sleepy! Woke up at 2.30 after 2 hours sleep. It was going to be ok because I was going to nap on & off all day. My parents have decided to pop in on their way past. I don't get to see them v often so it'll be nice to see them but I'm so tired I can hardly stand up to sort out DS's lunch, let alone tidy the house & sit & chat with them! Sad

peardrop2 · 12/11/2012 15:06

kitty I know what you mean about the May thread! There are people still joining everyday, feels a bit in personal so I just occasionally look at comments rather then post a lot. This thread is a lot more personal! Wishing your DH a speedy recovery! It must be a very challenging time juggling all the plates in the first trimester Hmm

JoJo surprise visits are always timed badly aren't they? Have you told them your news yet? Hope the visit goes better then you imagine and you get a burst or energy!

I've booked the dentist for tomorrow to check out my painful wisdom teeth. I hope he doesn't tell me it's infected, although I think I would be a lot worse if it was! I read today that swollen gums are common in pregnancy and your wisdom teeth can have a growth spurt like nails & hair not sure if that is entirely true but sounds about right

bringonthetrumpets · 12/11/2012 16:55

May be possible, pear.

Bummer on the impromptu visit jo!. They are exhausting. I think my house is cleaner when I get a call that someone is coming around shortly than it is any other time!

Have decided to have a day of being busy and doing some nesting. Excited to go through all of the old baby clothes to toss so I can go get new stuff!
