MysteriousNameChange · 03/11/2012 12:04

One of my friends mc in a situation that was close to my own, shortly before I got pregnant with my son so I'm always a bit worried about it.

Does anyone else have little to no symptoms? Sore boobs come and go but I feel absolutely fine and normal today which is a bit worrying. Pregnancy test still isn't getting noticeably darker, but then I think the batch I have is a bit crap.

MysteriousNameChange · 03/11/2012 12:08

Forgot to say I had hardly any symptoms last time, so in a way I shouldn't worry, yet I can't quite stop myself...

Carman1 · 03/11/2012 13:04

Afternoon all...

Tired isn't the word lol. Hope everyone is doing OK! XX

MooMe · 03/11/2012 13:27

Hello all! joining in Blush
I think I'm due 15-07. my DS is 4.
I'm a foreigner in the UK so have absolutely NO idea what to do now!!!! I've tried looking at the NHS website but it's just so confusing Confused

Also, if anyone has any ideas re where I can find out more about having a vbac or any tips re hospitals in North/North West London- would be much appreciated :)

Thanks and good luck all!!

Tashtastic · 03/11/2012 14:42

Hi everyone, can I join in too? Congratulations everyone! Had my bfp yesterday and still shellshocked. Due on 14 th July. We have DS aged 2. DP is calling this one the immaculate conception because we tried for a long time for DS and this one happened after only one month. Now waiting anxiously for first scan. And just to make things more exciting DS has chicken pox 😷

Hai1988 · 03/11/2012 14:55

Hi tash congratz :)

I am also due on the 14th :)

Was ttc for 2 months so exactly the same time it took to concive ds 7.2.

Not good about ur ds having chicken pox atm, not the best timing ay

Tashtastic · 03/11/2012 15:10

Hi hai - hooray for the same due date!
Re: bad timing- I know - nightmare- had just poas (still in shock) and picked DS up from nursery to be told he had some wee red spots. But I had chicken pox as a child and meant to be a problem later in pregnancy so not too worried except having to deal with grumpy toddler and nausea at the same time!

Hope you got your bowels moving! Smile

Hai1988 · 03/11/2012 15:16

No i havent, have been in so much pain today cus of it, really bad cramps and bloating cus of it :(

princessllama · 03/11/2012 16:35

Hello everyone- i am also lovig weekend( i am sitting in car having dropped dd at party and having a break for a moment rather than going home and having to make polite conversation with mil and step fil and also i have to make dd's cake for her party tomorrow Grin)
I went to obstetrician and had private scan yesterday - i saw the heartbeat! Has made me feel quite alot more relaxed and was fab to see. Although at same time randomly, slightly unsettlingly, gp rang to ask me to go back for another blood test because my calcium levels are v low and that might be why i keep gettig tingling and numbness in fingers and toes. I started panicking that the baby would have brittle bones but obstetrician said no, i'll just get v low calcium as the baby will take all mine- as long as i get a prescription supplement before long. Test is next friday , wish it would come sooner as want it sorted- keep thinking maybe that was why i had m/c last time, i know this is probably highly unlikely but not feeling too rational. Gahh, have to be v careful in this state not to take mil's head off. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Hai iam also stunned by how bad the constipation has got so soon. I am eating bucket loads of linseeds which helps a bitHmm
I think i need the biscuit recipe too...

SundaySunshine · 03/11/2012 17:05

Wow princess how amazing for you to see a hb, congratulations Grin

I'm happy to report that 6weeks to the day and I'm merrily throwing up Grin. Feel awful, but extremely relieved.

Hi to all the newbies, hope everyone is ok

elliejjtiny · 03/11/2012 17:43

So pleased that you saw a heartbeat princess. No puking yet (5+5 I think, irregular cycles) but normally starts at 6-7 weeks so no doubt I'll be puking (and coimplaining about it) in the next week or so.

emblosion · 03/11/2012 21:23

Congratulations princess - lovely for you to see a heartbeat :)

Not much to report here except its 9.15 pm and I'm knackered yawn. DS is teething so has been hard work all day.

I think I'm only 4+4 so not much going on symptom wise, have had a bit of nausea & bit crampy, boobs feel kind of full and weird too.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

emblosion · 03/11/2012 21:26

Oh, and I calculated my due date - 12th July.

Am getting a bit excited now the shock has worn off a bit!

Bessie123 · 03/11/2012 21:44

PRINCESSLLAMA I don't know if you remember me - we had lunch at the end of 2007 from the 2008 ante natal thread, before F (your ds) was born..?

Hai1988 · 04/11/2012 11:07

Hey everyone hope were all ok this morning :)

Im exactly 4 weeks today :)

CottonSock · 04/11/2012 12:46

Hi all..
PrincessL Congrats on the scan result. How many weeks did they date you as?

I did a Clear Blue test yesterday and got 3+ weeks, which perked me up a bit.. though it probably does not mean very much.

A little nausea, some aches in boobs on and off. Bit lightheaded today, emotional!!! 6+2 now.

Cooking up a storm today so I am def not off my food / strong smells. Kofta Curry, veggie korma, leek and spud soup.. hope that does not upset anyone with a more sensitive stomach today :)

Bodice · 04/11/2012 13:13

Just realised my due date is 13.07.12 but I think I do have a longish cycle. Not sure what as not long off pill. But might not tell the midwives that as am paranoid about going too far past my real due date when it comes to delivery!!

Did a clear blue and it has gone from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks so feeling much better about this pregnancy this time.

Glad your feeling more relaxed after clear blue test CottonSock. Have you decided what you are doing about early scan? I am surprised the midwife said that about saying you are spotting. That is bad on her part but I do know it happens a lot. I can usually suss out the fibbers as they are more excited about the scan than nervous. Not fair on those who really need scans. I do think people who have had miscarriages should be offered early scans though as I know how nerve wracking it can be waiting till 12 weeks.

emblosion · 04/11/2012 13:23

Happy 4-weeks Hai and cotton the curry sounds yum! I could just eat something spicy.... Excellent about the 3+ on the clearblue too :) if it reassures you any I had virtually no symptoms with my DS and all was well.

I'm dying to do another test, but forcing myself to resist, ha ha. Had a flurry of energy earlier and baked some banana bread - so proud of it. Think I'm going to send it into work with DH so I don't scoff it all though.

Gingerpanther27 · 04/11/2012 14:25

Hi can I join please? I'm due 7th July and I'm 4+6 :)

Hai1988 · 04/11/2012 14:32

Hey ginger so nice to see you here :)

Tashtastic · 04/11/2012 15:40

Is it too early for maternity jeans? Feeling crampy and bloated.......

CottonSock · 04/11/2012 16:00

Bodice your right she shouldn't say it, but I was such a mess I think she was just trying to calm me down Blush. I don't want to feel like a fraud, or tempt fate, so am going for private scan at end of 7 weeks. Going away the week before so should have some distraction :) Any slight spotting though and I am requesting EPU. The staff in there will probably recognise me too (they did last time) which I think makes lying even worse.

Tash I wake up looking normal, and by end if the day stomach is bloated to massive proportions!

CottonSock · 04/11/2012 16:02

PS emblosion thanks for the reassurance.. I'm trying to tell myself I am not really a 'sicky' person.

Back to the kitchen for me - I just went on a bike ride and it rained the whole time, as soon as I left the house. Still defrosting!

Bodice · 04/11/2012 16:02

tashtastic - I was eyeing up some maternity trousers last night as work trousers already seem a bit tight. That may also be to do with the copious amounts of food eaten on holiday the baby was conceived on. They were on sale though. Had to force myself to stop!!

OhGood · 04/11/2012 16:07

Hi MooMe - welcome to the UK and congrats. Have you considered doing an NCT class? Quite a good way of meeting people. And you will find loads of vbac information on the boards here.

cotton did you say you got engaged?? congratulations! Was it a big romantic one?
