Anyone else just poas? Think I'm right in saying I'll be due in July :)

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
emblosion · 21/11/2012 06:35

I'll be getting mine done, foils don't touch your scalp anyway if you're getting highlights but I think the risk from hairdye is pretty small? Just get a patch test done as sensitivity can change in pregnancy.

Jools how are you this morning?

orangebubbles · 21/11/2012 09:13

Bodice NHS guidelines

jools70 · 21/11/2012 09:43

Morning all, thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts - still bleeding and have cramps, it's not heavy and not all the time, i'm still trying to be hopeful.
bessie yes the nurse said the same to me, no clots so far which is good.

I desperately need my highlights done and a haircut, might treat myself at the weekend.

orangebubbles · 21/11/2012 10:19

jools one of my friends bled her whole first trimester, baby was fine and bleeding remained unexplained. It's not always bad bit could just be the way your pregnancy will be.

I have my booking in apt on 12/12/12 Smile starting to feel real now!

wifey6 · 21/11/2012 10:28

jools...I know many have said..but my friend also had bleeding in early pregnancy...& went on to have a healthy pregnancy & baby girl. No explanation for the bleeding but apparently very common.

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 21/11/2012 11:00

Emblosion, I guess that does make me feel better. :o

Jools Another one wishing you well, I will be thinking of you. x

No symptoms at all here. Confused Not particularly hungry or feeling sick or sore etc.

photographerlady · 21/11/2012 11:02

Question. How long from seeing/telling your GP did you receive booking appointment info in the mail?

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 21/11/2012 11:05

I only spoke to my GP yesterday on the phone but last time it was about 2 weeks and my appointment was for when I was 11 weeks.

wifey6 · 21/11/2012 11:10

Where I live you call midwife directly for a booking in appointment. Have mine next week.

SlouchingPanda · 21/11/2012 11:15

Just logged in to say that I'm thinking of Jools today and keeping my fingers firmly crossed for anyone who has had worries or bleeding.

wifey6 · 21/11/2012 11:21

MrsWildermac....can relate to being very hormonal. Started crying in the middle of the shopping centre at the weekend when I say a little old man shopping by himself. I burst in to tears & couldn't stop myself. Sad Normally that sort of thing does upset me but not to that degree. Sad

CottonSock · 21/11/2012 11:24

Hi all. Fingers crossed for jools. Could you call back the epau and book appt? My hip pain settled must have been too active at weekend. I'm an outdoors type. The strange cervix womb pain also seems to have settled but did have me going google crazy for a while. I also have been very moody with dh! Hope he survives. Stressed about scan friday when hopefully will see nine week bean. Anyone else live in wales?

SlouchingPanda · 21/11/2012 11:36

Just seen other posts... I had a massive palaver getting my booking appt sorted. Will save you all the tedious details, but no doubt the GP receptionist, community midwives and scan department have all marked me as a high maintenance troublemaker.

Still, my constant nagging persistence paid off as MW came yesterday and am now all booked and official Grin, but I feel slightly ridiculous for being booked so early now!

jools70 · 21/11/2012 12:16

SlouchingPanda thats so sweet of you thanks x

Might call the EPU in a bit, although the bleeding has settled a little and Im feeling a bit sick, good sign right! He he

missmaybe · 21/11/2012 12:26

Good luck jools, fingers crossed. I'm in a similar situation with spotting for the last week and light bleeding on Saturday - waiting for an early scan next Monday. It's hard not to stress and worry about it!

Had my first 'omg I'm going to be a single mum this is so terrifying' moment when I went to the out of hours clinic with bleeding at the weekend. My sister was really kind and rearranged her plans so she could come with me, but it did feel different not having a partner there with me :-/

Any other potential single mums out there too?

TomDaleysTrunks · 21/11/2012 14:04

Another one crossing fingers and toes for those bleeding.
I am definitely more hormonal than normal add the nausea is kicking in. Walked past the fish aisle in tesco and nearly vommed into my trolley. Urgh.

jools70 · 21/11/2012 14:14

Sorry to hear we are in the same boat missmaybe I wish you luck on Mon, why do you have to wait so long for the scan. I went straight to A&E and was sent off to EPU by one of the GP's there. Could you do the same rather than having the worry over the weekend?

Anyone at home in Kent, OMG the wind and rain is so bad, feels like The Wizard Of Oz when the storm takes the roof of the house Grin

orangebubbles · 21/11/2012 16:53

jools I'm in kent, so disgustingly miserable out there, I pulled the curtains, put on a film and me and DD fell asleep Grin

Other delightful symptoms today include, nose and gum bleeds (had both with DD), anyone else got some lovely new ones to share?

butterflyexperience · 21/11/2012 16:56

I'm also getting bleeding gums which I too had with my first 2.
Must say that I look very pregnant today and only 5 weeks!
Don't think we can hold out too 12 weeks to break the news!

BoyMeetsWorld · 21/11/2012 17:15

missmaybe I am no longer a single mummy but can def sympathise as I was when I had DS. I remember very well how scary it was...but oddly, as time went on, I came to love the independence I had & all the quality time with my bump. If I felt rough, I could wallow...when he started kicking etc it was like our special little secret. Of course it would be lovely to have someone to share with, & I should think its much harder if you have other DCs. But it can be a very empowering experience too. Enjoy, & congratulations!

Hai1988 · 21/11/2012 17:18

Hey all its been a while thought id come bk and catch up with you all, am now 6+3 and omg am feeling so sick!! But also hungry how is that possible?!

Got my booking appointment on saturday, not looking forward to bloods being taken but am looking forward to seeing mw as it kinda makes it all real then :)

jools70 · 21/11/2012 17:28

Good for you orangebubbles escaping the misery outside!

I've just had a bacon roll with tommyk, just had to have it.
Tum still cramping but that made me happy Smile

Good luck on Sat Hai1988 I hear its quite a long appointment so take some snacks Grin

GirlsGotInk85 · 21/11/2012 17:43

Anyone got any tips for easing morning sickness?? This is will be my fourth ds and I swear I have never felt so sick I can't even function its so bad!!

chocolateteabag · 21/11/2012 17:52

Evening all- have seemingly gone off tea and coffee now - haven't had hot 'Bena in years but have just introduced DS to it = verdict is "mmmm"

Had my hair highlighted/dyed on sat without thinking oops - I have both mousey and grey hair so need both to keep looking gorgeous normal

Jools - fx for you, bleeding is horrid. Did you call you EPU?

DH has just "informed" me that my due date will be 9 months and 1 week after the end of my last period, does anyone else find family and friends are picking up bits from the media and telling you like you know nothing? Over the weekend I was told all about the angers of drinking by FIL as I swigged wine over lunch

chocolateteabag · 21/11/2012 17:52

Angers? Dangers!
