Ha ha! ellie I was just coming on to say that I had a fried egg sandwich today too after reading about them on here. So much for eating healthily today ;). Hope your ds feels better soon & that you manage not to catch the cold!

jools & bessie great news :)

Anyone else feeling knackered? I joined ds for his afternoon nap today & slept for 2 hours and I still feel sleepy!

Boy sorry your GP was so negative, do you know when your booking appointment might be? Round here they do it at the same time as the 12 week scan but elsewhere it can be 8-10 weeks...

I saw my gp yesterday & she was v nice. Supportive of my decision to request an elcs (i had a v traumatic birth last time) so that's a weight off my mind. She's referring me to the midwives but don't reckon I'll hear from them til end of December ish.

Grannyapple · 20/11/2012 21:08

boy that's awful re: your gp. I've got mine next Tuesday when I'll be 6 wks...I had my last one at 6 wks too & gp was fine...just asked how many tests I'd done...not much he could've said when I told him 5 (tho have exceeded that this time already!)

I don't see why they couldn't see you now...I told my surgery I was pg when I called to make the appt last wk & they offered to see me that week (tho think they were a bit surprised when I said no that's too soon for me Grin). Everyone knows it takes a while to get the referral thru to the mw's...you would think they would've just seen you...tsk!

I was feeling tired the past few days but seems to have gone a bit...still no real symptoms tho thought I was gagging a bit when brushing my teeth this morning which I had last time about this stage..feels like this month is totally dragging.....anyone else feel like that?

Bessie123 · 20/11/2012 21:23

Fried egg sandwich

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 20/11/2012 21:51

Hi, can I jump in please?

Just tested today for no reason it seems as I have been on the Nuvaring and got BFP. Clearblue says about 5 weeks.

TomDaleysTrunks · 20/11/2012 22:05

Hi schro I'm new here too. Congratulations!

Is there a list of when we are all due?

I've just had pizza, was feeling sick all day. Had attributed it to the stress of moving across the country in 2 days....eeeek!

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 20/11/2012 22:08

Thanks. :)

Just had pizza too. Have been on a 500 calorie a day diet for weeks and weeks before today. I feel sick now as well but it's just from the amount of food I have managed to consume since doing that test!

princessllama · 20/11/2012 22:09

Bessie- great news on the scan, i've been hoping it's all been ok. I am gagging everytime anyone mentions a certain type of sandwhich on here.

I also got tearful in fireman sam today- maybe more to do with having watched 4 episodes back to back. I am now down to eating beef hula hoops, steamed potatos and toast.
Jools glad you had a good scan too.
Orange hope you feel better soon.
Hello to the newbies

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 20/11/2012 22:10

Hi there. :)

RancerDoo · 20/11/2012 22:12

Another tired one here. But if one of my daughters wakes us up in the night I then can't go back to sleep for an hour or more. Then I'm knackered all day at work!
I've been feeling a bit queasy today which is unusual for me as I am never sick. For some reason I think roast beef monster munch might be the cure. No way in hell am I eating fried eggs! Today's craving has been cornflakes - I've had two giant bowls! I wish time would go a bit faster - I can't be bothered going to the gp so am self referring to the hospital. But marking time until my scan next week (at seven weeks) is seriously hard! The days are really dragging...

Welcome schro - and congratulations! Are you in shock?

I don't know if the rest of you are trawling the net for baby related info, but if so this website is fab!

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 20/11/2012 22:13

Thanks. Very in shock, it's a contraception failure and it's really not a good time. :( DS is only just turning 14 months just now.

Congratulations to everyone on here though. :)

RancerDoo · 20/11/2012 22:20

It's a shame you feel that way, Schro. Having a baby is daunting at the best of times I think, but it'll be alright in the end. Whatever it is you're worrying about will work out I am sure.

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 20/11/2012 22:23

I'm sure it will. :) Just a complete shock just now. I jumped on here because I thought it might sink in a bit if I am on the bus.

RancerDoo · 20/11/2012 22:27

And look, your two will be two years apart- that's lot's of people's dream age gap! I aimed for that but there'll be 3.5 years between each of mine!

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 20/11/2012 22:32

I think 3.5 would have suit me better! :o He wont be quite 2.

jools70 · 20/11/2012 22:38

Tom - Congrats and welcome Smile

Bessie - hope you are OK after seeing the heartbeat

AFM - I've taken myself off to bed, continued bleeding and the cramps are bad enough that I need paracetamol. I just pray that the bleeding stops, its bright red mixed with discharge, sorry TMI.

The nurse told me what will be will be, so I just have to try and sleep and see what the morning will bring.

emblosion · 20/11/2012 22:41

Schro if it makes you feel better, my DS is only 5 months old. I spent the first week after poas in utter shock, but getting more used to the idea now. Am trying not to think of the sleepless nights....

Sorry Bessie (& everyone else feeling queasy) for mentioning a certain sandwich Grin

Rancer totally agree about the days dragging, for me last time it dragged until I was about 20 weeks but after that it flew.

emblosion · 20/11/2012 22:44

Oh Jools just seen your post - I've everything crossed for you. Hope you can get some rest. Thanks

jools70 · 20/11/2012 22:48

Thanks emblosion been a tough day.

MrsWildermac · 20/11/2012 22:49

Anyone else REALLY hormonal, crying at the slightest thing?! Just watched 14 kids and counting and ended up in floods of tears thinking I wouldn't be able to cope with a baby/child/teenager and how different everything is going to be. First timer and hoping all these fears are normal!

Welcome to all newbies and jools, I hope that the bleeding stops and you get a good sleep.

Bessie123 · 20/11/2012 23:07

jools I will be thinking of you - I hope you are ok. If it helps, the nurse told me so long as there are no clots it's hopeful.

princessllama thank you for your kind post and sorry you are feeling sick and having to watch so much fireman Sam - my ds loves it too.

Bessie123 · 20/11/2012 23:08

And I am hormonal but not crying. I am picking fights and having tantrums, not v attractive.

marimama · 20/11/2012 23:22

Hi! Am back and caught up after two tiring days! I stayed at my parents' house after a late parents' night at the school where i teach. Was looking forward to good night's sleep but got middle-of-night calls from DH because our 2.5 yr old son was up with fever and scary cough. MIL was there, too, but both of them freaking out. Had to boss them all around for an hour before I could get back to sleep.

Still no real symptoms, just sort of background nausea & maybe emotional but mostly i think i am just tired.

Scheduled for an appointment Dec 18 (will be 8 weeks) but remembered getting blood tests earlier last time (though i was in Europe then, America now). Just would be nice to have any extra insight into how things are going!

Not sure how I can avoid telling everyone at Thanksgiving here Thursday. I might have a reputation for drinking my share of wine at holidays. Blush so far planning on constantly carrying around a glass but faking sips. Not sure why i care so much about keeping it quiet this time.

Jools, hope everything geta better soon. Bleeding is very scary, but i have lots of friends who had bleeding and then lovely pregnancies. Fingers crossed!!

Bodice · 20/11/2012 23:25

Quick question, who is getting their hair dyed in he next few weeks?. I am booked in for my highlights done in a couple of weeks ready for Christmas. Now I am wavering, have read on some sites that its best to wait till twelve weeks. Is that over cautious? I don't want roots for Christmas !

Bessie123 · 21/11/2012 00:12

You don't need to wait, it's fine to get your highlights done. Highlights don't touch the scalp anyway.

marimama · 21/11/2012 00:46

I thought dye was out? Should have gotten greys covered 2 weeks ago!!
