Ok so after 2 positive tests I am pregnant with my first :). 6 week scan on Friday as I have a double womb (didelphys) so I am shitting it. I am 35 so this has been a long time coming. I am to expect miscarriages due to a resctricted growth space (this is my first pregnancy) and premature labour. Caesarean is a definite due to probability of a breech birth. I am however remaining very positive. I am apparently due July 13th according to my sister-in-law (oracle with 2 kids). Not sure what I would do without her. I have no symptons as yet apart from being late and super tired. I am new to mumsnet so hopefully this will help..

photographerlady · 12/11/2012 19:06

I am glad I wasn't the only one mad enough to scan at 7/8 weeks. I say glad but yes my 12 is well into the new year and with being on clomid and the increase chance of twins or triples - December 6 can't come soon enough.

Guavasforbreakfast · 12/11/2012 19:19

Thanks Thunder, I know I'll probably kick myself for wishing for it when I've got my head stuck in the toilet all the time... Just want something to confirm the phantom baby is real!

orangebubbles · 12/11/2012 19:38

Grin Guavas and the phantom baby.

nicola congratulations and wow, what a lot to consider and plan around. Wishing you an uneventful 9 months.

photo twins Grin that would be fabulous, would you be happy if it was a multiple?

thinking looks like we're edd buddies (for now anyway?)

Bessie123 · 12/11/2012 20:49

I'm not on the list. Again. But I have been bleeding for a couple of days so perhaps best not put myself on. If my baybee is still there I'm due 3 July.

specialknickers · 12/11/2012 20:58

Just adding. Feeling quite booby today - fat and sore and a bit sicky. I'm taking this as a good sign so am emboldened!

Hi ladies...no real symptoms for me except feeling bloated & tired. I'm not expecting much in the way of symptoms as didn't have much with ds 2 yrs ago...so we too booked an 8 wk scan then just to make sure everything was ok (which it was, thankfully). Tis typical tho that I find out I'm pg just as I start discussing increasing my days at work with my boss Hmm

Sorry to hear that a few of you have been through it a bit. And nicola defo a lot to consider but I am too wishing you a fairly uneventful pg x

jools70 · 13/11/2012 01:15

Can I join in please.

DP and I have been trying for 9 years, 2 IVF cycles failed. Moved from London to Kent Sept, got a BFP last week, natural conception. Can't quite believe it!!!!!!
I'm 5+5

jools70 · 13/11/2012 01:17

Forgot to say i'm 42 so an older mummy.
Good luck to all you other ladies x

SlouchingPanda · 13/11/2012 09:33

De-lurking to join too! I'm 5+5 today in my first pregnancy after almost 2 years trying. I'll add myself to the list when I'm not on my phone, but EDD is July 12th.

I had horrifically sore boobs at the weekend, but they seem to have settled now. Not sure what to make of that, but I'm trying not to automatically assume it's a bad sign. On the plus side Hmm, I am completely exhausted, yet wake without fail at 5am. My most random symptom is that I seem to be producing epic amounts of saliva. No full on morning sickness, although feeling a bit queasy.

I have an early scan next Monday at 6+4 so fingers crossed all will be well. Until I see it, I just can't believe I might finally be pregnant, and even then I know it's far from a given, so am trying not to get too excited. Good luck to all!

Thundercatz · 13/11/2012 10:26

Congrats and welcome jools and panda ! Wow 9 years?! Amazing news for you jools !
I keep getting the waking through the night and at 5am thing too - seems quite common; I wonder what causes it ? Hormones?
I also still can't believe it... Till I see on scan I don't think it will feel real!

esme80 · 13/11/2012 10:38

Wow jools thats amazing! Welcome panda!

I am also waking through the night and then around 5, went to bed at 8 last night though so not too bad!
Got my midwife appointment through for the 29th. I really cant believe it, I am going to have the same midwife as when I was pg with ds! I really liked her, so this is very good!
Feel like a really bad mum, been so tired and nauseous the last week ds has been spending way too much time inside in front of tv...

orangebubbles · 13/11/2012 10:41

Hi and congrat's to jools and panda add yourself on the list ladies.

Bessie not sure what you meant by 'again'? Have you had some MC's? If so, sadly you find yourself in good company, it seems there are quite a few on this thread, myself included that have too. Try and stay positive and add yourself on the list lady Smile

I keep thinking I have no symptoms but when I actually get 2 min's peace and quiet from DD1 I think I do feel waves of nausea! I just don't feel pregnant! At least the constipation has passed (literally) Grin Blush I'm with you Thunder until I see that little bean with a hb in few weeks time I just can't believe it!

Thundercatz · 13/11/2012 10:47

Sorry if you've said already orange but when are you having your scan? Im literally counting down the days!
Don't feel bad esme afterall you are growing your ds a sibling! Smile

photographerlady · 13/11/2012 10:58

orange twins be lovely so we will see!

Welcome jools, was your conception through IVF or natural in the end? Lovely to hear us long term ttcers have our BFP

photographerlady · 13/11/2012 11:16

Btw does anyone roughly know how many weeks til your booking appointment? Or share when yours was. Thanks!

SlouchingPanda · 13/11/2012 11:39

Photographerlady the next booking appointment available with the MW is when I'm 9 weeks. Typically I can't go that week and she is away the following one... so who knows! I have decided not to badger them until after my scan as I still can't believe there will be anything there [paranoid].

Jools - impressive determination! Keeping everything crossed for you especially.

esme80 · 13/11/2012 13:08

thunder thanks for that, hadnt thought of it that way!

photographer I will be 9 weeks for booking appointment, seem to remember being 9 at the last one too.

Bessie123 · 13/11/2012 13:51

orangebubbles yes, worried about another mc. I am about to go for a scan so I will know soon whether the bleeding I've had is serious.

jools70 that is great news, congrats on the bfp.

orangebubbles · 13/11/2012 13:57

Thunder 11th Dec I'll be 8+3... I'm a nervous wreck! Having had an MC and CPs think it'll always be a case of knicker checking and finger crossing!!

I'm now in the system but they do it oddly here. I have completed a booking form and now just have to wait for my appointed MW to call me, at 'some point'! Helpful!

Also please please don't forget to get yourself a flu jab. My surgery didn't want to do it before 8 weeks which is understandable but I'm booked in for the day after my viability scan. The NHS guidance is to get it done asap.

orangebubbles · 13/11/2012 13:58

Bessie cross posts. Well good luck, every thing crossed for you my dear. Let us know how you get on.

OhGood · 13/11/2012 14:04

Hi to jools and nicola and must say it's making me feel very lucky to hear your stories. Big congratulations to you and welcome other newbies.

I am seeing doc today for first app, which is apparently what you have to do heer - I can't remember anything from first time round.

I am also starting new contract on Monday, horrible stressy job with lots of travel and a massive commute. Bugger, such terrible timing. I was hugely sick in first pregnancy. Not so much this time round, but I am sure it's in the post. Just hoping I will escape it.

And too scared to add myself to the list yet.

Bessie fingers crossed, let us know.

OhGood · 13/11/2012 14:04

here

Thundercatz · 13/11/2012 16:40

Second orange's advice re flu jab. I managed to get one on Saturday straight after my docs appt.

TopDonkey · 13/11/2012 16:54

Hi ladies, can I join please? BFP this morning which, if my app is correct, would make me 3 +4. Anyone else around the same time? How is everyone feeling?
