I put my foot down on him buying lunch everyday a while ago, he now takes a packed lunch. (It only took 4 months of nagging)

ShellyBobbs · 19/10/2012 21:31

Bet Aldi are cheaper though, you're not an Aldi girl 69p for a lovely fresh pineapple. Is the core the bit you're supposed to eat? It's like concrete.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/10/2012 21:31

detective might a reflexology session help get the aby off the bone, it just sound so painful. I was going pretty much weekly and was helping ith back problems and that was wheni was LOA, she went away, but I am starting again next week, so let's hope things pick up.

I have three angels tonight who are all snoring their heads off so I am snuggling down with my book for good nights sleep. Till at least 4 anyway.
Xx

I told DP that normal service will not be resumed until the baby has arrived, and I feel 'recovered'.

He accepts that this means he will have to carry on doing the majority of housework for the foreseeable future. I think I was about 31-32 weeks when this major shift happened due to me having a mega strop about working FT to 37 weeks and doing absolutely everything in the house and I can't see it altering much until he returns to work when the baby is 4 weeks old. And even then, it depends! DS was a whingerclinger! If I get one of those again, it will be a year!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/10/2012 21:32

Oo, big fat Envy congrats to liitle and nervous Thanks

ShellyBobbs · 19/10/2012 21:34

This baby feels like it's going to rip out of my stomach in a minute, how can there be any more room in there for it to move?

MissMummy1 · 19/10/2012 21:35

I couldn't cope with him throwing things into cupboards doing housework. I would just like to be appreciated for the amount of effort I put into it!

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 21:35

See you at 4 Sophia Angry stupid body clocks huh?!

I hadn't thought of reflexology. To be fair, I don't know anywhere that even does a massage in this area, let alone anything more complicated! I'll try and google though...

And yes Shelly it is the 7 cores you need Grin

ShellyBobbs · 19/10/2012 21:36

Bollocks. That's the bit that I didn't eat and threw away. I feel really cheated now!

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 21:37

I've had to give very strict instructions on all aspects of cleaning/tidying! He doesn't get it right all the time but it is easier to fix the bits he has missed than do it all myself!

He's learning...slowly!

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 21:37

Hahahahaha!!!! Grin

Sorry!

Passmethecrisps · 19/10/2012 21:38

My pineapples are Aldi. I bought a new one which I am determined won't go yucky. It is the core which apparently makes the difference.

I suppose contractions will make the head engage will they? How long is it likely to take to go from being at the brim to being fully engaged?

Tomorrow I think I will do bouncing while eating pineapple.

MissMummy1 · 19/10/2012 21:39

Laminated cupboard maps and postit notes on the steam cleaner don't even help my waste of space darling other half do it properly!

ShellyBobbs · 19/10/2012 21:40

No wonder it didn't work for the last 3 then!

I'll leave Detective to answer the labour question :)

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 21:40

No, but a huge hissy fit and locking him out the house might Blush

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 21:41

Pass I forget, is it your first baby? Blush I can't remember waaaaaaaah!!

MissMummy1 · 19/10/2012 21:43

Now there's an idea detective...!

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 21:44

But yes, if the head isn't engaged before labour, then it will engage in labour. It would be highly unusual for this not to happen - if this happened it would either be because of severe malpresentation of the head (at a very strange angle!), or geniune CPD (head to big to fit through pelvis) but true CPD is rare. And can't be easily judged!

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 21:44

MM I'd never let the hormones get the better of me and do such a thing Blush

Passmethecrisps · 19/10/2012 21:53

First for meeee!

Another question actually. When I was at the midwife she oil ages over the Doppler saying that the heartbeat was too high. She asked if he had been moving about but not that I had noticed. Eventually it settled to 140-150 having been 160-170. When she was palpating me she grabbed baby's head REALLY hard - it made me wince. Could that have raised the heartbeat? If I was baby I reckon I would be pretty shocked to find someone grabbing at my head

Passmethecrisps · 19/10/2012 21:54

And sorry! Thank you for answering my last question. I have a lot today. I might save some for tomorrow.

blonderthanred · 19/10/2012 22:06

Um, sorry for TMI.

I just went to the loo and there was a blob in my pants. Very dark blackish red, jelly stuff. There were a few loose bits as well. I don't know if that was a show. I was about to have a bath, the doc said not to bathe if my waters have broken, which they haven't so I guess I'll still have the bath. But I can't remember if I am meant to do anything or just keep waiting to see what happens. I had read up so much about inductions I haven't really looked at normal labours.

I've been having mild brief BH all day and some brown discharge but as it hadn't progressed I thought it was just old blood dislodged from the sweep.

(I thought the blob was another pea at first, but it definitely isn't)

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 22:07

Yes it can Pass! It is normal for the heart rate to be increased at times - any activity can induce this! What you want to hear is it return to a baseline rate. Which it sounds like it did!

I've got some things here which are free to a good home if anyone wants them! I have 2 Ikea fitted cot sheets - which I discovered today do not fit my cot bed! Duuuuuh! They are for a regular cot Blush they are the fitted blue sheets on this set.

I also have a Maxi Cosi car seat cosy toes in red, which I bought on eBay when I was like 6 weeks pregnant lol, but never got a Maxi Cosi car seat in the end! I just haven't got round to selling it, and now I can't be arsed Blush. It is like new - seriously! Even though I got it on eBay, it pretty much hasn't been used! It is this exact one.

Also, if anyone wants it - for those who are due later in November - I bought a bottle of Clary Sage oil today, and it's 9 bloody quid a bottle! And I'm not going to get through 10mls of it! Once I've used what I need - I'm happy to pass it on to someone else who wants it!

That's all folks Grin

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 22:08

It's a show Blonder you may have more to come yet too!

blonderthanred · 19/10/2012 22:09

I don't need to ring anyone unless I'm having proper 3m contractions though right?

Sorry for being such a div.
