COD I got the Mutsy Evo Grin very exciting! Gosh I can't walk up the stairs without getting out of breath/hurting. Everyone mainly says I'm very neat Hmm

Cookiesandcream06 · 22/10/2012 16:27

Ooo spotty I'm jealous you have yours to play with already! We gave to wait as nowhere to store it. In the shop they deffo said from birth as it lies flat, you don't need the carrycot.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/10/2012 16:34

Apparently it's pronounced mootsy Evo! Well at least by the time you get yours cookies ill be able to answer any questions Grin I was swearing lots because I couldn't even open the frame turns out I had the safety catch on Blush

emilyeggs · 22/10/2012 17:03

My pushchair came with no back wheels! Phoned kiddy care twice ( first time to tell them about missing wheels, second time to find out when they were sending our wheels) and now have back wheels and a spare pair Grin! Do love my oyster pram, haven't bought colour pack yet as I'm team yellow. I do like the grey pack that said, looks smart

kate2boysandabump · 22/10/2012 17:07

Spotty Grin

COD Haven't heard from you in ages. How is your littlest one getting on at school?

I have to go and get my extra wheel tomorrow. I hope they don't ask for the others back, then I can have my pram with 3 wheels or 4. We'll see.

AlisonDB · 22/10/2012 17:15

Hi all.
Can I just have a bit of a moan?!
Today I am feeling like utter shite! (Excuse my language but no other words sums it up well enough)
Im 32 weeks and still having morning sickness, Last night I had about 3 hours sleep, due to insomnia, heart burn and DS1 (5yrs) having 3 nightmares. And bump kicking bouncing etc most of the night.
This morning I woke up couldn't stop being sick and have felt grotty all day.
I try telling DH how I feel and he just doesn't "get it"
His answer was "well just go to be bed early tonight" (like last night had been my choice and I'd been out to a club or something)
I'm still in real discomfort from the heartburn, (Gaviscon if I can keep it down works well, but most of today I have bought it back up again!)
I just feel so fed up and can't wait to get back to feeling normal!

Anyway that's my grumble,
sorry I'm not usually such a whinge bag! :-(

Hope everyone else is feeling ok! :-)

SpottyTeacakes · 22/10/2012 17:20

Alison sorry you're feeling rubbish I would go to the chemist and get some ranitidine. Don't let them know its for you because they can be funny about pregnant ladies! It's fine in pregnancy though and really, really helps

AlisonDB · 22/10/2012 17:24

Thing is I live in Holland. And the only heartburn medicine absilinle is Gaviscon,
The peppermint one is vile, and makes me feel even worse.
I have bought the aniseed one today and that is easier to take but still tastes awful,
Why can't they make them in nice flavours?!
Lol

SpottyTeacakes · 22/10/2012 17:31

Oh no! Ummm I have heard Horlicks can help if you can get that? Heartburn is definitely one of the worst symptoms I'm Envy of my friends who haven't had it!

emilyeggs · 22/10/2012 17:32

Aww, alison HB is the worst, I'm lucky, I only had it really bad once so far and never want it again! Can't imagine having that AND morning sickness Sad

utopian99 · 22/10/2012 17:37

Can't remember who said about sickness but I think I'm having a recurrence, after itwent away at 14 weeks I've been feeling grim the last three or so.

Midwife said at my last appt that I'd gone from being undersized to more or less normal but I feel huge and can def see a change in my arms which I Don't Like, as they are my barometer of fatness now waistline has disappeared..

CODwidow · 22/10/2012 17:45

kate it took about a week but he's settled now thanks, still find it very strange walking away with no children but I'm now getting less panicky about having another newborn as at least I'll have chance to sleep in the day if needed! Smile

gilsbubbles · 22/10/2012 17:54

Got a call to tell me that our pram and car seat are ready to collect. Very exited but have been surprised at how many superstitious friends I have who say they wouldn't have it in the house before the baby is born.....

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 22/10/2012 18:13

I had a lovely return of sickness this morning. Thankfully it has now stopped as the choc cake is delicious. Although have cut 3 adult sized pieces and 3 child sized pieces and there's still 3/4 left! Shock I think I'll take some to the school for the teachers tomo as there's no way we can eat it all by thurs night! Lol

gils I've had my pram in my house since 5 weeks. Thankfully I'm not superstitious!

Can somebody cook for me tonight please?

WerewolvesDoTheFandango · 22/10/2012 18:28

Ooh another one Envy at the people with their prams. We have ours but it's at MiLs as we're trying to sell our house. Our dream house sold today Sad rather evilly hoping it falls through!

Alison are you sleeping propped up at the minute? It really does help with the heartburn, I've had to do it for the last few months but it's cut my Gaviscon consumption considerably.

I am sooo tired, if baby keeps me up all night again I'm seriously considering sending him back!

OP posts:
MyDaydream · 22/10/2012 18:31

Stacey I'll send you some pasta bake in exchange for some fudge cake!

Stacks · 22/10/2012 18:36

Been ages since I've posted, you've all dropped off my thread list! Not had a chance to read back, and have to go out to my first pg yoga class now. Will catch up soon though.

Hope everyone is well, and managing to get some rest where they can.

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 22/10/2012 18:42

Well, the shit has well and truly his the fan, PidjChick has a new born cousin!

Months ago, BIL confided in us that his ex was pregnant. He didn't tell the rest of the family, mainly I think because it was a very brief relationship and he wanted to be completely sure the baby is his. As SIL has just informed dp, we can only assume that the test is back and we have a new member of the family!

I'm thrilled, and hoping we can meet him very soon; BIL is a fab dad to his adult son (full custody from 18 months) It's just a pisser that MIL is upset Sad

Oh, and SIL is assuming that the ex has done it on purpose Hmm

cashmere · 22/10/2012 18:46

No other drinkers then!
DH isn't a 'big drinker' but the football thing is a meet up with old school friends that happens a handful of times a year. Its just as I'm now on the 5 weeks+ countdown I'm getting a bit nervy!
He will have a couple pints/ half a bottle of wine at home a couple nights a week and this is what I was thinking we should watch so he can drive if needs be. I'm planning a home birth but had to go in last time with a bleed at 38 weeks. DS was born at 40 +3.
Think I'll say our anniversary at 36 weeks should be the last time he has a drink that could take him over the limit.

pidg I had a neat bump last time but DS was over 8lb. Some say boys are neater.
My midwife hasn't measured my bump this time, she just feels it. Is that standard?

CODwidow · 22/10/2012 18:51

I have my pram set up in the nursery, now and again when I'm home alone I give it a push round Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 22/10/2012 18:52

cashmere I've never had my bump measured either! I think they going out for a night out is fine, as you will probably have made sure you have some way of getting about in an emergency but would definitely ask him to not have more than one or two in an evening after 36 weeks. Actually thinking about it DP often has a couple of beers at the weekend so as of 35 weeks I think I might ask him to just have one Grin

pidj that all sounds very complicated, is SIL your DP & BIL's sister? Sorry if I got that wrong.... I hope that he gets fair access. I expect it's just a shock to your MIL and she will be happy once the news has sunk in.

I'm not superstitious either. I do want fudge cake though!

EggsMichelle · 22/10/2012 18:53

My DH does my nut normally when he is around the house all the time, but for once I'm really enjoying having him around, he has cooked ribs and garlic mushrooms, made me drinks and cleaned the house. Apparently my discomfort is obvious now and I have to rest more, he has even offered to run me a bath, feeling very spoilt.

My DSis has had her 12wk scan and all looking good, so I have even more knitting to do (not finished the blanket for niece yet who is 8days over due!)

I take omeprazole for heart burn, has been ok'ed for pregnancy and its wonderful, had non of my old reflux symptoms (lose of voice and sore throat) which the GP said would get worse with pregnancy, it's my wonder drug!

EggsMichelle · 22/10/2012 18:59

Cashmere my DH is normally t-total, but a few times a year he will play rugby with his old team, drink 2 pints of cider and not play again for a couple of months from injury!!! Conveniently he was meant to play Saturday, but still injured and I think he has agreed to not play until after the birth.

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 22/10/2012 18:59

Oh, yeah, I'm an only child so anyone "IL" is related to dp! The only one who isn't is SIL's ex cunt husband, but he's not even a fly shit on the shit on my shoe and can be safely castrated with rusty garden shears as soon as the dn's are grown up ignored

Wink

MIL is a retired nurse and prescribed me ice cream for heartburn. Works at least temporarily and is eminently better tasting than Gaviscon!

I have no space, so push chair is in my parents loft!

Mummycox · 22/10/2012 19:00

alison I'm with you on heartburn, only thing that fixes it is good quality hot chocolate before bed. The Peptac the Gp gave me only works for a few hours, the hot choc made with milk keeps me full all night and the hb at bay!

Pram came in the house on Saturday and so far so good.

As for drinkers... DHs last proper night out is 10 November, I think hope need to tell him
