HoneyMum21 · 15/10/2012 09:41

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 15/10/2012 10:01

Envy have fun Stacey Grin

StrawberrytallCAKE · 15/10/2012 10:13

Oh Stacey I couldn't be more jealous happy for you!!!! If there was anywhere in the world I could go right now it would be Dubai, so clean and great food that you don't have to worry about, have a really lovely time!!!

33wks today and I had a couple I contractions on Saturday morning which was v exciting practice. Apparently this can happen with 2nd 3rd etc babies. It reminded me of giving birth though and I have had dreams about pushing a baby out since then.

Baby is v wriggly and sometimes feels like she's popping bubble wrap inside my tummy, does anyone else get this?

SpottyTeacakes · 15/10/2012 10:15

Could it be hiccups Strawb? Eek I'm getting really scared of labour again now!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 15/10/2012 10:23

strawberry some people have described 'popping' coming from the bump I've never experienced it but many others have said its normal.

LO has been hiccuping almost non stop for a few days. Practise breathing gives hiccups! Lol DH finds the hiccups really weird!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 15/10/2012 10:36

No definitely not hiccups, plenty of those too...so cute. Dd hiccups every time she's excited even now. Glad to know others have it, right at the bottom of my bump it's happening.

Think starting birthing hypnotherapy cds tomorrow might be a good idea. Eek.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 15/10/2012 11:01

Buggery bugger I just broke my airer! God I'm so clumsy when pg!

SpottyTeacakes · 15/10/2012 11:13

I remember like a 'clicking' low down from last time. Not had it this time yet but felt like dd was flicking me. Don't know what it was. I'm being so lazy this morning have only folded the washing should have hoovered, dusted and given the kitchen a wipe down.

utopian99 · 15/10/2012 11:34

I've been having low down hiccups too, does that mean he's head down and staying that way? (i hope!)

Bought hypnotherapy book/cds a while ago but have still not started, you've just reminded me strawberry..

Clarella · 15/10/2012 11:49

Girl at nct was doing a day of hypnobirthing yesterday, was interested to know how it went.

I get Hiccups lower left and sharp kicks upper right, I'm imagining he's lying on his left head down?

Cringing on sofa as bathroom is knocked through upstairs. Cross with DH as he's been lax about the amount of dust, I had a last min panic and flew about trying to duct tape doors and put dust sheets on stuff (only just cleared the last 6 months worth of dust) and very glad I did as its thick with a fog of dust up there. The guy is a mate though and has the Henry on constantly sucking the air, I'm worrying about his lungs! And left medication, phone charger and anusol in nodding bedroom, now all taped up....

Gearing up to clear work.computer which, after giving into paperless worksheet storage (make nearly any piece of work for kids myself) is a mega task I've been massively putting off

Clarella · 15/10/2012 11:50

Sodding bedroom....

Walnut8 · 15/10/2012 12:47

Yes, I've been getting a lot of clicking/popping - sounds a lot like bubble wrap, good description! I had this with DD too. I wonder whether it is fluid being "snapped" around? Also had hiccups down REALLY low today ... as in the bottom of my spine at coccyx level?! Also a lot of snotty cm at one point this afternoon (sorry TMI!), which completely freaked me out. Have decided tomorrow is the day for washing all the new baby gear I have up to 3 months, and the moses masket bedding! Have also booked DH in for a shopping session on Sunday to look at car seats and a double buggy. I have decided DD really needs to be "strapped in" at times (eg grocery shopping!!) and therefore a buggy board on the old buggy isnt going to cut it. Has anyone else bought a double buggy?

Walnut8 · 15/10/2012 12:50

Clarella, I hope you don't need the medication and phone charger etc urgently?!

Is it bad that I can't be bothered with hypnobirthing this time around? I don't even want to think about the whole labour thing - it just makes me panicky and tired!! Grin I do have a refresher antenatal course booked for Weds evening - I'm sure that will scare some sense into me.

itsMYNutella · 15/10/2012 12:53

Clarella I really don't know how you are coping with the things you have going on around you in your home. We have emptied out our baby corner and it is now papered (hurrah)and it needs painting and decorating...

Speaking of decorating the baby corner... We were going to buy a second hand IKEA bed with a new mattress. But BIL and SIL want to buy a new bed for us and that gives us the option of something a bit fancier... which got me thinking about how the baby would sleep in our room because I hadn't considered a Moses basket but I'm not sure about having the baby sleep in bed with us.

What would you ask for? Something really fancy - at least fancy compared to IKEA - or stick with what you were doing originally?

PurplePidjin · 15/10/2012 12:55

PidjChick had hiccups at 4am the other day so violently it woke me up... In fact, so violently he shook the bed and woke dp as well!

Walnut8 · 15/10/2012 13:07

Nutella, do you mean fancier as in a new bed and a moses? Or just a fancier new bed? We have a moses and I would highly recommend it for the first 3 months - you can put it right next to your bed on the floor and also take it around with you (we had DD near us as we watched tellie in the evenings so that I could check on her constantly when she was newborn!)

Walnut8 · 15/10/2012 13:08

Am in total awe of those hiccups Pidj?!

PurplePidjin · 15/10/2012 13:24

I do prefer to lie on my side, and dp is a very light sleeper...

An ex-colleague (she was ex when she offered) promised us a moses basket back in July, I'm wondering if it would be rude to contact her and ask if the offer still stands. We're not in touch normally, and my parents' neighbours have also offered...

itsMYNutella · 15/10/2012 13:46

Pidj I think if you contact the ex-colleague and say that you were wondering if the moses basket was still available they wouldn't mind...

Walnut8 I saw the Stokke thingy before and totally love it... but of course that is a bit pricey... I sent a link to DP as a joke and he said that it looked great and I told him I was kidding because of the price but he seemed to think it was fine Confused - that would be for the mini bit and then we would buy the extension kit ourselves next year.
