Happy Friday everyone. I am very, very glad the week is nearly over. Might be buying a new car tomorrow (eek) and will be doing some more painting in the nursery.

Sorry for those having sleep and blood sugar problems. I was never given a GTT; my midwife said they don't do them unless they need to.

Fandango sometimes people don't really think things through. You don't have to be pregnant, or in labour/hospital, to be tired/grumpy! I'm sure he thinks he is in the right, but he's obviously not thought it through. Just ignore him if you can, he's a twonk. Grin

Totally failing to get any work done today, but I should at least try harder to pretend I'm working. :)

gilsbubbles · 12/10/2012 12:12

just back from my 32wk appointment with the midwife, Growth, heartbeat, BP and dip tests all good but the did want some more of my blood to send off for tests. Trying not to worry but frustrated cause it wasnt my usual midwife and nobody seems to know why more blood tests are needed, was there a problem with the ones I had done 3 weeks ago?... did they just get lost??? I hate not knowing what's going on

Secondsop · 12/10/2012 12:17

gils chasing up what's happened with the never ending blood tests is one of the frustrating things about this whole business isn't it.

Clarella · 12/10/2012 12:49

Oh don't get me started on blood tests! Really frustrating and ime things do go awry / astray easily at the lab or a sample is spoilt, but that info never comes through. And that's not even gd, so can't imagine the carry on there. They should issue a whole rough guide to blood tests alone!

Just sharing some advice as I definately have a DH who needs buckles.

happy friday

just back from 32 week mw appointment and i'm measuring 3 weeks smaller than i should be...should i be worried? Also she thinks i'm now breach argh!!! Wants to see me in 2 weeks instead of 3.

I'm eating well including the odd daily indulgence (maltersers yesterday, donut today) - what else can i do??? My iron levels at 12.8 which is good...

Help any experience appreciated...should i be worrying?

WeeJo08 · 12/10/2012 13:15

I loved that link Clarella! My DH loves to research gadget-y things so for me it was easiest to say things like, "Oh there's so much choice when it comes to baby carriers, I don't really understand all of the features..." and bingo, DH was immersed for hours on Mumsnet reviews. It also worked for our pram as well! Grin We went for a Baby Bjorn Active in the end.

SpottyTeacakes · 12/10/2012 13:19

Bella I wouldn't worry. Position of the baby and fluid can make a difference. You might have a growth spurt tomorrow. If the mw was that worried she would have sent you straight for a scan Smile

Clarella · 12/10/2012 13:27

I know weejo, very apt! DH spending too much time researching bath taps still at mo and didn't understand mn had a proper review section (better than which imo!) And when I said 'but mn says....!' he recoiled in horror till I showed him the proper product reviews ;)

Mum's very kindly offered to buy us a sling and I'm really taken by the new caboo dx for him and me (then a wrap at home) but hardly any reviews yet at all anywhere, it just looks really nice and everyone seems to like caboos.

Gonna go to a sling meet cos I really cannot make my mind up for him!

Clarella · 12/10/2012 13:32

Bella, I'd be worrying a bit but just to let you know my local experience - three friends were measuring small or not growing, sent for scans, one baby ended up 9lb, (outgrew Moses basket in 6 wks) one 7.5, and the other is about to pop but est 7 lb - anecdotal but very common I think - lots of time for baby to turn too. Apparently time on all fours helps with breech so I wondered if swimming does too?!

Stacks · 12/10/2012 13:44

Clarella there's a Part 2 here

WerewolvesDoTheFandango · 12/10/2012 14:00

God I could murder a Wine right now, I'd have it with my enormous scone that I'm also not allowed. Instead I have a diet coke (pretending it has spiced rum in it) and celery.

HoneyMum21 · 12/10/2012 14:15

Waiting for re scan for 4d pics. Little tyke doesn't want to behave!

Clarella · 12/10/2012 14:22

Ha stacks, didn't see that, a friend had texted it to me!

Excitment honey! (hed better behave!)

Clarella · 12/10/2012 14:24

As DH and I walked to pub last night after nct he said what would you like? I immediately answered 'g and t' utterly forgetting I'm nearly 8.5 months pregnant Blush

WerewolvesDoTheFandango · 12/10/2012 14:40

Mmmm Clarella pub!

Clarella · 12/10/2012 14:52

I know.... I must admit I am now looking forward to feeling tipsy again on rare, organised milk expressed occasions!

WerewolvesDoTheFandango · 12/10/2012 14:53

I know I might even have a wine on Christmas day Shock

Secondsop · 12/10/2012 15:01

My husband is looking forward to "wearing" the baby. He wants to go to comic con next year with the baby in an outfit that makes him look like an alien bursting out of my husband's chest.

HoneyMum21 · 12/10/2012 15:36

Bit of a random question- should Moses basket sheets be 100% cotton or is a polycotton mix ok? Have found a good deal on fitted sheets but they're a mix Confused

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 12/10/2012 15:49

Honey after 3 children I've never looked at the cotton content on a sheet, I'm sure mix will be fine.

I went to the pub for lunch with a friend and had a small spritzer it was lovely.

Clarella it's really rude your almost 8.5 months I'm 7 months and it all still feels so far away!

Thanks Stacey thought that was prob the case but needed to hear it from someone who knows more than me!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 12/10/2012 15:59

Oh god not sure I know more than you, I think I'm as bewildered with this one as I was with dd! Lol
