SpottyTeacakes · 11/10/2012 09:21

My boobs are so veiny! Not helped by the artificial lighting at work!

Clarella · 11/10/2012 09:23

Ahh pidg..... six months of my pregnancy (minus cat) like that, the fridge and bath became particular symbols of hate due to noisy rattling during particularly dramatic points in films and tv thrillers and wedged on a camping chair trying not to squash bump whilst washing up in bath with shower, being only source of hot water. You can do it! It will be lovely in the end! Hope bump ok?

We're doing round 2: upstairs next week Confused

At least this builder is a friend, I will buy biscuits for him :)

Starting to find bump gets very sore at night even when wedged with pillows etc. Hope just another phase!

ellliebelle · 11/10/2012 09:45

Pidj sorry to hear you are stressed today :( im sat in hospital waiting room for second gtt bloods to be taken only an hour and 20 to go

PurplePidjin · 11/10/2012 10:00

It'll be over soon. It'll be over soon. It'll be over soon...

Cat has vanished, assume she's behind the sofa (usual hiding place when strange men around, sexist little minx!)

No milk, so will pop to the shop and get some plus naice biccies for fitter-dudes - i always buy biscuits for people working here (took a year to do up before i could move in) even if it's only so i can scoff them myself!

Bump and i are on sofa with hot water bottle!

PurplePidjin · 11/10/2012 11:10

Ok, it won't be all over soon, the shop ordered the wrong width of lino so kitchen and hall will have to be done next week. Ffs!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 11/10/2012 12:13

Oh pidj that sounds shit! I have Belgian chocolate cookies if you'd like one?

Well I'm just back from docs, I've now got antibiotic and steroid ear drops to go with my amoxicillin! Hopefully I will be pain free soon. Doc seems happy to let me take paracetamol until the pain goes too so I'm slightly happier!

Although the appointment did start like this:

Doc : so how many weeks are you now?
Me : 30
Doc : and you're that big already? Twins?
Me : no.

It doesn't really fill me with confidence about my size!

MyDaydream · 11/10/2012 13:30

purple I feel for you, especially on the dishwasher. DP has said we can't get one until January, I hate washing up.
spotty I'm so veiny everywhere, I keep thinking I've started getting stretch marks but closer inspection shows my massive veins!
stacey hope your new medicines work for you.
I got woken up last night by a big stomach cramp that sent baby crazy. I was a little bit convinced I was going into labour for an hour until no more cramps and baby chilled out.
Just had MIL on the phone getting funny with me because DP has gone out for a run and there's a crisis that she needs him for NOW. What am I suppose to do, activate his GPS tracking chip and go after him?

PurplePidjin · 11/10/2012 13:37

Aah, doctors and their bedside manners... fingers crossed it sorts itself soon. Might be worth getting some echinacea to boost your immune system? Twinings raspberry and echinacea tea is lovely :)

Daydream, this was 2nd hand when a mate of my folks treated herself to a new kitchen. Love it! I'd be screwed if it broke though...

MyDaydream · 11/10/2012 15:26

I just cried in DPs hairdresser because one of the barbers was playing with his little girl and she's so cute! I'm getting sick of these silly pregnancy hormones.

EggsMichelle · 11/10/2012 16:22

I can't do washing up, leaning over bump and bowl give me back ache! This is great until DH goes to work for three days and leaves washing up next to the sink, I can only do a few things at a time!!!

PurplePidjin · 11/10/2012 16:26

Ooh, might use that on Michelle Wink

utopian99 · 11/10/2012 16:43

pidj sorry to hear about house havoc, agree with you on the biscuits though - had the plumber round yesterday and bought a family sized box of assorted chocolate ones, which i, of course, have benefited from far more than him!

I've found a great de-stressing activity while continued employer bad behaviour continues; removing kitchen wall tiles. Lots of violent hammering involved but v satisfying! Not sure what the crumb makes of it all but the doctor says anything to take my mind off the stress is going to help..

PurplePidjin · 11/10/2012 16:47

Mind your wrists, utopian, i laid myself up for over a week with tendonitis doing my bathroom with a fat chisel and lump hammer! 10 minutes then tea break ime.

Love my snuggly new biscuity smelling carpet, and the cat has calmed down now she's had a fuss and worked out what's going on :)

FriendofDorothy · 11/10/2012 18:03

I have been for a scan today. Saw more lovely pictures of the baby. He is growing well and we could even see that he has hair, not to mention lips just like The Mister! His hair was all sticking up at the front so we think he might be called Jedward!

The sonographer reckons that he weighs about 3lbs 14oz already but he is growing perfectly within the normal parameters. If he carries on growing at 1/2lb a week that would give us a 9-10lber! Eeeek!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/10/2012 18:16

Ah pidj sounds stressful it'll all be over soon!

Friend that's so cute. How far gone are you? I think the half pound a week is from 35 weeks?

Had whooping cough vaccine, I was very brave but it was dd who got a sticker Hmm Grin

WerewolvesDoTheFandango · 11/10/2012 18:30

Isn't it lovely friend I had one yesterday. Everything's so clear, could tell he had my chin. Mine's 3lb now so a nice 7.5er by the ebd, fingers croseed. I have read the 0.5lb thing is from 29 weeks spotty.

My wc and flu are booked in tomorrow. Think there's some kind of growth spurt going on today, i have been ravenous and exhausted all day! Hopefully his legs will catch up with his head Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 11/10/2012 18:33

Oh no I hope not! I'm terrified after dd being 8lb at 36 weeks!!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 11/10/2012 18:37

My ear doesn't hurt!!!!

I fell asleep before DH came home (as I got about 2.5 hrs last night) and when I woke I sleepily told him I loved the doctor Blush ah well it's true. Ear still feels slightly blocked but it's not a patch on yesterday do I'm a very happy bunny!

I wish I could see this little monster, do Envy of those with scans.

DH has finally managed to find an insurance company who will cover me in Dubai (most stop at 26 or 32 weeks) it's going to be costly though so I think he's waiting until after I get my fit to fly note. I have my appointment to request it on Monday, we fly next Friday. Can't wait for a holiday!

Hope puss cat has calmed down a bit pidj.

Whooping cough tomorrow, couldn't book flu at same time cos the dragon didn't know how to do that Confused

Baby bouncer arrived, its perfect.Smile

Barbeasty · 11/10/2012 18:55

Glad things are looking up for you Stacey & Pidj.

And Spotty, I think we should all get stickers for being brave!

Friend- I'm looking forward to my scan in November to check where the placenta is. Should be good to see the baby.

I got home to an email saying my car is being written off! So the courtesy car disappears tomorrow morning, but will hopefully be replaced by another.

But I can't go looking for new cars on Saturday because I have the last full day NCT class. So I'm trusting DH to go looking for me.

Got to drag DH out first thing to empty my car of stuff. Better make sure we get all DD's toys...

Secondsop · 11/10/2012 19:05

Those of you who have been able to see hair etc at scans - are they normal hospital scans or special 3d / 4d ones? At my scan at 29 weeks I saw barely anything - it all just looked like shapes.

My surgery still doesn't have the whooping cough vaccine yet!

My back pain has almost entirely eased (hurrah!!) but I now have a fair amount of pelvic pain; not unmanageable by any means, just uncomfortable, and mainly after sitting at my desk chair. Could it be the baby's head engaging already? Am 31 weeks and as of Tuesday he was in position head down and back up. Will he stay like that from now on?

SpottyTeacakes · 11/10/2012 19:12

Most likely stay like that Secondsop could still go back to back but hopefully not.

Barbeasty you have my sympathies. I hope your cheque comes through quickly and you manage to get a car sorted

Secondsop · 11/10/2012 19:16

Thank you spotty - fingers crossed he doesn't turn around!

WerewolvesDoTheFandango · 11/10/2012 20:07

second mine was just the normal hospital one at 29 weeks +4 days. The sonographer was lovely and made sure she showed me everything. She was pointing out his eyes looking round and his lips/nose/chin.

WerewolvesDoTheFandango · 11/10/2012 20:08

Also this is the weight by week link
