Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Barbeasty · 10/10/2012 10:03

Stacey hope your ear gets better soon. Can they try different/ stronger antibiotics? Definitely give the dentist a miss.

Pidj also jealous.

I had to get the train in today, which involved a long walk from the station. But should finally get a courtesy car today. Can't believe how long it's taken to sort, but doesn't help having 3 companies involved. At least the woman admitted liability. But DD had to miss nursery today as we didn't know if I could pick her up.

Spotty are you closer to getting your insurance etc sorted?

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2012 10:10

Sorry it's taking them so long Barbeasty I have to say mine have been excellent (apart from Europcar but that's another thread Wink). All I'm waiting for now is to get my excess back once the bastard finally admits liability and if he doesn't we'll take him to court. Should be ok the legal team are on it and it's only £250. Also got appointment with appointed doctor on 13th November and once that's done the solicitors will start my claim for personal injury should help soften the blow as this gas cost us lots of time/money/stress etc. luckily I'm starting to feel better in the rib and stress department!

Cookies get some ranitidine!

emilyeggs · 10/10/2012 10:32

DH said my bump has dropped down and I must admit the constant pain I was in has gone! I think I look smaller now Confused anyone else had this?

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2012 10:43

I had that emily and my heartburn went lasted a week Confused I know baby is now head down. Suppose the pain is back now simply because the baby is growing lots.

minipie · 10/10/2012 10:43

Nope emily but I wish that would happen to me! My bump is very high and HUGE and I'm getting rib pain, can't wait for her to drop. Though I suppose then I'll have to wee even more often!

Sorry to hear about ear trouble Stacey and others' heartburn, sleeping and car related issues.

Flumpy2012 · 10/10/2012 11:22

Me neither Emily. I wish something would happen to stop the heartburn though!

My mirror is infront of my feeding chair (most comfortable place at the moment) and I just resemble a beached whale.
I'm all bump though, I don't appear to have gained weight anywhere else, or much actual weight at all according to midwife. About half a stone. But baby is perfect size and all on track so not too worried. Less to shift after right?!

Still revelling in the organisation after my parents big tidy up. Enjoying it whilst it lasts before there's vomit, nappies and babygros everywhere.

MyDaydream · 10/10/2012 11:48

I love my dream genii for getting comfy when I get into bed, but I do tend to kick it out halfway through the night or wake up all tangled up in it.
stacey hope you feel better soon.
emily my bump shifted last week and don't get the awful full feeling as often now. And I look very pregnant now too, I keep admiring it in shiny surfaces.
Chased up my GTT and 28 week bloods results today and everything was fine, was a bit worried because I went a bit funny in the waiting period in between.

EggsMichelle · 10/10/2012 11:55

I'm waiting for the car to fail its MOT again, then off to the midwifes. Mine hasn't weighed me since booking in else they would be horrified (I hide weight quite well!)

My bump still feels really high, and he digs his legs into my ribs when I sit to my desk at work making me very uncomfortable, but only 2wks left of work and I can slob out on the sofa!!! As for bf tops, I'm going for the vest top pulled down and other top up, just been talking to the receptionist in the car garage about breast feeding very loud infront of male mechanics!!!

Stacey stay well clear of the dentist, unless you are into that kind of torture thing, you do not need the extra discomfort.

EggsMichelle · 10/10/2012 11:57

Scrap that, all it needs is a light bulb!!!

HoneyMum21 · 10/10/2012 12:50

Just back from midwife. Everything seems to be going well and she assures me i'm very unlikely to break my baby when i bring him home - which is currently my biggest fear. Then got my flu and whooping cough jabs and was instructed by the lovely practive nurse to take it easy for the afternoon Grin Have FIL and his partner coming tonight so can't take the whole afternoon off but am going to lie down with my sore arms for a couple of hours. (the sore arms are currently worth it if it means i get to put my feet up for a bit).

Walnut8 · 10/10/2012 13:04

I hope your ear is okay Stacey, sounds painful!

Went to see the ob today and my bump is measuring 37 weeks?!!! I was 31 weeks on Monday so now I'm a bit worried. I have a size scan booked for next week plus bloods taken for iron and thyroid (have been feeling terrible recently). Argh. My first DD measured small/normal throughout. Feel like I'm doing something wrong Sad

Walnut8 · 10/10/2012 13:08

Re breastfeeding tops, if you have a large chest like me then you may find you are more comfortable with a bf cover at first. I found nursing tops hopeless and complicated and always ended up exposing everything while faffing around with them. After a month or so when I was more in the swing, the best combo I found was a long stretchy vest with low neck (to pull down) under a looser top (to pull up).

EggsMichelle · 10/10/2012 15:00

Back from the midwife, no growth in 3wks (odd) and more glucose in my wee. Shrimpy clearly isn't that bothered with all the fidgeting he does!

pmgkt · 10/10/2012 15:08

Just back from mw. I thought I was 27+5 but I'm 28+5 lost track of that. Bought a new car this morning, a vauxhall zafira, too many kids now for anything normal.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2012 15:16

pmgkt I know a phew people with a Zafira, they all love it :)

EggsMichelle what does the glucose in the wee & non growth mean? Will they just keep an eye on it? Oh and good news on the car!

Walnut it could just be fluid and early growth spurt, I'm sure everything will be fine. Sorry you have been feeling crappy, but seems like they're looking after you.

Still feeling so tired despite 9 solid hours of sleep last night (sorry to those having sleep problems!) I suppose even though I'm asleep I am more restless what with cramp etc. I'm really annoyed as well because I ordered something for dd from Next and it was meant to be with me yesterday and it still hasn't been delivered. I hate Hermes they're useless!

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2012 15:35

I JUST BOUGHT MY PUSHCHAIR!! Grin

Cookiesandcream06 · 10/10/2012 15:36

Pmgt DM has a Zafira - it's their second and they love it.

eggs are they keeping an eye or anything?

Well had my MW and over 90th centile for growth- measuring 34 and only 31 weeks today. Explains why I've been so tired an hormonal I must have had a growth spurt. Said they won't refer for a growth scan or anything

EggsMichelle · 10/10/2012 16:11

MW didn't seem bothered at all, but then she did forget that she had taken my urine sample off me, then asked me for it again! I have text my private MW/mother for her opinion, and awaiting her response (she is in clinic today so might be quite a wait).

Just watched bake off, not impressed with James show stopper, thought it looked horrible!!!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 10/10/2012 16:22

Hello all. Spotty what did you get? We got a 2nd hand QUinny off Ebay. One of my uncles and his wife have been slating me for not buying new! But I love it and got everything inc Isofix for £200.

Emily I had glucose in my wee and the next day I was off for a GTT. It must differ in different areas. It's good your mum can translate things for you though!

Baby fandango was exactly 3lb on todays growth scan. I couldn't believe how clear it was. He was looking right at the scanner dont know real name and rubbing his eyes. Also if we didn't already know he was a boy we'd have been in no doubt after today! Grin He has a massive head, measuring over a week over, while legs and tummy are 1-2 weeks under. I hope he evens out a bit!

Hope you feel better soon stacey that sounds miserable.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2012 16:34

WillYou we got the Mutsy Evo, it was £329 including the footmuff and car seat adaptors. I think Cookies has got the same one. TBH I would have got second hand of one if the other top end ones if I hadn't found this, even had a look for this second hand but I think it's too new.

HoneyMum21 · 10/10/2012 17:05

Congrats on the pushchair spotty :)

Flumpy2012 · 10/10/2012 18:16

I had a meltdown because M&S didn't have my favourite meal! I am supposed to be having a child not behaving like one!
And the bloody heartburn Sad

I can't possibly contemplate that there could be 10 more weeks of this!

A poor phone sales person has just got the sharp end of my tongue! Argh!!!

MyDaydream · 10/10/2012 18:35

Congrats on the pushchair spotty. I get mine in about 6 weeks.
I've just burnt myself twice cooking. One while draining fat out of the pan although it didn't hurt. Another picking up a baking tray that had been in the oven for 15 minutes already. Total baby brain, forgot I'd just taken it out then went to pick it up. DP has gone out for dinner and I was really looking forward to a jacket with chilli and cheese since he hates jackets so never have them usually.

HoneyMum21 · 10/10/2012 18:44

Oh dear daydream - hope you're ok!

Is anyone else terrified about all the tests they run on the baby when he's born? I was worried so asked the MW today and she said to look in the leaflet I got at my booking - just have done and am more terrified. There's so many potential things that can be wrong.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 10/10/2012 18:48

mydaydream you are better than me, I do that normally without being pregnant. Normally taking the lid off a caserole dish with gloves to stir it, and then forgetting the lid is also hot and trying to replace it! I have also been known to spend a couple of hours making stock to then pour it down the sink (forgetting to put a saucepan to catch the stock, so essentially saving all the bones) Hmm I'm rather ditzy!

Today I did burn myself on a lighter today lighting a candle in the kitchen so you are not alone!
