Fandango, under no circumstances look at my profile pictures :o

Bless dp, he's vacuuming and will hopefully shortly do the cat litter. All i have to do is scrub the floor and shut the cat away and we're ready! Hand feeling better for liberal application of sudocrem - Bounty packs have their uses!

Secondsop · 09/10/2012 21:49

Spotty my post-dinner glucose was 6.2. This was after a very small portion of brown rice, veg, tuna and feta.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/10/2012 22:15

second I had the same meal for tea last night and mine was 3.9. Are they going to keep you as dietary controlled or do you need medication?

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/10/2012 22:17

Oh dear pidj I looked! Was it delicious as well as sparkly?

PurplePidjin · 09/10/2012 22:22

Bit sweet for my taste, being fondant and buttercream and sweeties yes very Wink

mwahmwah · 09/10/2012 22:24

We had offer accepted on dream house today! O.m.g. If bub late, I might be moving when she is only 5 days old. Holy moly!

Secondsop · 09/10/2012 22:25

willyoudothefandango this is only my first day of monitoring my glucose so it's a bit soon to tell! but I was told I had to be over 3.5 and below 7.8, which I am, so if the levels stay like this then I won't need medication.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/10/2012 22:29

Ah that's good, no one bothered to tell me my target levels! I've been assuming they're about the same. I have a huge list of questions to bombard them with tomorrow!

Secondsop · 09/10/2012 22:34

Y, I have lots of questions to ask at my antenatal appointment next week; now that my care is being transferred to the diabetic centre I want to make sure that all the other tricky aspects of my pregnancy are considered together. I've been on consultant-led care thus far so asked to see the obstetrician next week as well as the midwife.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 09/10/2012 23:43

mwah I told you the best stuff has bad timing! Grin

Im awake with earache and heartburn, the joys!

mwahmwah · 09/10/2012 23:49

Stacy yep very true! I'm awake cause i'm totally wired and have so much to think about. Hope u feel a bit better soon. Get necking the gaviscon and think about me making a hot chocolate!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 09/10/2012 23:56

Oh mwah you can make me a hot choc too Wink

Am now on my ball as I was getting majourly uncomfy in bed. Bored of this night waking. This small person best sleep more than I do now!

mwahmwah · 10/10/2012 00:00

Ditto!

Flumpy2012 · 10/10/2012 02:44

Awake with heartburn Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2012 06:50

Those with heartburn (sorry Flumpy I know you can't take it) get some ranitidine. It's fine in pregnancy and the generic one is only £1. You take one and it lasts for 12 hours! You don't even need a pharmacy you can buy it off the shelf.

WillYou 3.8 is verging on hypo for me. I know 'normal' people run a bit lower than diabetics but I would agree that it seems odd. eat a chocolate bar then test

seconds that's a good post meal reading. If you really want to keep good control then lower carb meals are probably the easiest way to do it, if you're just controlling with diet. Sounds like you're doing we'll anyway and it's not like there's loads of room for food at the moment what with giant babies taking up all the space Wink

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 10/10/2012 08:02

My ear still hurts and is now leaking stuff. I shall assume that my ear drum has perforated as it's an inner ear infection and stuff is leaking out. :( have an appointment at dentist for a filling today but there's no way I can let them drill when my ear hurts this much already. The vibrations will make me punch the dentist in the face I think!

Well I'm trying to get organised after a few bad days. The washing is on and I'll do the dishwasher and stuff when I'm back from the school run.

PurplePidjin · 10/10/2012 08:08

Stacey, have you got an emergency dr appointment?

I scrubbed my kitchen and hall floors, so that's the last of the prep done. Bloody knackered now and still have to wash up and get dressed and go out all day because i can't walk on it for four hours! Poor cat's going to do her nut being stuck in the lounge, but hates going elsewhere more so it's the lesser evil really Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2012 08:13

Oh Stacey hope you feel better is there anything they can do for that?

pidj perfect excuse to go out for coffee and cake and a bit of Christmas window shopping Smile

PurplePidjin · 10/10/2012 08:15

Yep, off with my Mum later :o

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 10/10/2012 08:31

pidj enjoy shopping! I've had antibiotics since mon lunch time I was hoping they'd have kicked in by now.

gilsbubbles · 10/10/2012 08:32

Packed my hospital bag last night, and ended up in years while doing it. All seems a bit more real and although I'm really exited I'm a bit worried about feeling lonely if I'm at home all day.

utopian99 · 10/10/2012 08:51

Having rather smugly thought i was doing okay for pregnancy-related issues, have had the most uncomfortable night ever! Do pg pillows help?

Did how to maintain your relationship during the first mental months yesterday, which i think was really good, so we don't forget each other what with all the nappies/stress/lack of sleep. They should make everyone do that part of the course before ttc!

Cookiesandcream06 · 10/10/2012 09:50

Hope you feel lots better very soon stacey that sounds horrid. pidj very Envy of your day- am still so stressed out with work etc that I absolutely cannot wait for mat leave to start and I can shop for Christmas decorations and cake all day long. Have a lovely daySmile

The heartburn is also eating me alive ladies, as are restless legs and cramps during the night, although last night was better and only 2 toilet trips too.

I have my 4d scan at the weekend and have had pressure and the shooty pains down my fanjo.. So majorly worried babbas head is engaging and I won't get a good pic. Midwife today so going to see what she says- I think I remember being half engaged at my 32 week appointment last time.. Lets hope as its second time round she won't be!

Cookiesandcream06 · 10/10/2012 09:52

utopian meant to say definitely invest in a pg pillow- can be used for BF after so not a waste. Have sworn by mine this preg.! and banishing DP to the sofa!! mean pregnant woman!

FriendofDorothy · 10/10/2012 09:58

I love my Dream Genii pillow!
