Hope everyone has a good weekend Smile

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 06/10/2012 08:02

Ooo enjoy mr macintyre spotty I was awake a lot of last night but I think a lot if that was to do with my ear ache :( if it's not one thing it's another.

Off to a baby sale today (oh if only it were that easy Wink) I doubt this baby needs anything but I can't resist bargains esp as we've been given soooo much I feel I've hardly shopped!

Morning all, ive been awol for a while. looks like I've got myself an early riser. Been kicking the crap out of me since before 7.

Sorry to hear about your run of bad luck spotty and Ellie I'm a total wreck at the minute! I wouldn't watch that while not pregnant, right now I may dehydrate myself to death!

Bit of a crappy week this week, I have a lot of rib pain which is making it almost impossible to sit at my desk and despite being a normal weight, healthy diet and no risk factors, I've developed gestational diabetes. My d

WillYouDoTheFandango · 06/10/2012 08:04

Oops! Sugars are under contr

SpottyTeacakes · 06/10/2012 08:05

Oh earache is horrible Stacey I might have missed it up tread but have you got an infection or something?

Jealous of the baby sale, I've not bought anything really either. I think I should buy the pushchair as it's out of stock for the next 4/5 weeks and people are placing it on back order already. I'd be silly not to buy it wouldn't I? I have a maximum of ten weeks left.... Or is it still too early? Hmmmm...

WillYouDoTheFandango · 06/10/2012 08:06

Double Oops! Sugars are under control for now but off to see the consultant in Monday Sad

Hope everyone's got a lively weekend planned. Um off to a baby shower and all I want is a bloody scone! Smile

utopian99 · 06/10/2012 08:06

Hi spotty hope you're not too bored wide awake? So am i - have a friends' wedding to go to which is exciting but the kittens (really grown up cats now,) have chewed my fascinator the beasts, so trying to work out if it can be repaired or if i need an eleventh hour sprint to the hat lady..

Hope everyone who's had a ghastly week is now improving? flumpy sounds like good news from your xp? I had the flu jab but not too achy and booked in for wc jab (sounds very weird written like that!) next week, and appointment with anaesthatist week after to see if he's up for risking an epidural in my freaky scoliotic spine (only if required, will try not as but it's good to have options, plus would mean if i can't and have to have emergency cs they'd have to knock me out completely..)

Have had offer of a changing table, breast pump and sling from my aunt, which is ace of them so off next week bearing apple pie from the garden in exchange...

SpottyTeacakes · 06/10/2012 08:08

X post WillYou sorry to head about the GD are you just treating with diet at the moment?

utopian99 · 06/10/2012 08:08

P.s. Whoops for awful use of punctuation in the sentences above! Should have been a full stop in there somewhere...

SpottyTeacakes · 06/10/2012 08:10

Make yourself some cheese scones!

Hope you have fun at the wedding Utopian I was pretty bored and dd was in our bed being a bed hog!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 06/10/2012 08:20

Thanks spotty I think so yes, only got the diagnosis yesterday over the phone but I think my 2hr levels are really good (5.0, 4.6, 5.7) so hopefully diet should do it for now. I see consultant and go to clinic monday so hopefully they can explain to me.

Have a lovely time at the wedding utopian I went to one last week, really enjoyed it but was knackered for 3 days after Grin, have fun at your sale stacey and enjoy Michael McIntyre spotty

Bellaboo123 · 06/10/2012 08:29

Haven't posted for a while as had last hol pre baby (fab) and been busy at work. Finally caught up...sounds like there's been some rough times...hope things are improving. Grin

I've got flu jab today and will see if they'll do WC while I'm there...then off to a christening.

Enjoy your weekends Smile

JoJoB77 · 06/10/2012 08:34

Morning Smile

Well DH has taken DD out to his parents today so i have a few hours to iron/catch up on housework/chill. Its lovely respite from the early wakings this week.

I had my flu jab on weds flumpy and it madey arm ache and a bit inflamed but its settling down now.

Baby now feels like it has its bum up under my right rib area now, really hard there & constant ache.

You know what tho, even with all this discomfort and tiredness, i feel very grateful for my lovely family right now with whats going on with missing April Jones. My heart goes out to them Sad

Flumpy2012 · 06/10/2012 08:36

With all those who can't sleep! Perhaps it's good preparation?! I feel slightly robbed not being able to enjoy my last weeks of sound sleep though

Booked some bump photos for end of the month, hope I'm not covered in stretch marks my then!

WeeJo08 · 06/10/2012 09:50

Morning all! DH off to hire place to get hedge clippers and carpet cleaner machine thingy then this afternoon we're off to Sainsburys to buy the first of our must have basics for Shnarf :) Very excited! Going to get sleepsuits and vests mainly and they're probably just going to be plain white, but excited anyway!

JoJo Under my ribs seems to be the baby's favourite place when I sit a my desk in work! So uncomfortable!

Spotty Enjoy Michael McIntyre! I know other people who have been to see him and said he was absolutely BRILLIANT!

WillYou Sorry to hear about the GD but sounds good that you'll be ale t control it through diet.

More Strictly on tonight - very excited!! Grin

MaMaPo · 06/10/2012 10:26

Morning all! 3.30-4am seems to be a typical waking pattern for some of us and I have it down like clockwork. I seem to have found the solution though - eating! I don't wake up and feel hungry but I do lie there sleepless. A friend suggested it and the few times since then it has happened I have hopped up, had a glass of water and some crackers, and fallen asleep again. Bliss!

Spoke to the parents today for the first time in a few weeks (they're back home in Aus) and they're all very excited, wanting to know details. They keep in close touch with my inlaws, who are apparently 'stressing' that we've bought nothing for baby! She's convinced she's going to come over, take me shopping, and get it all sorted out. Only thing is her flight arrives the day after my due date, so chances are I could be already with baby, or in hospital at that point! Poor woman, she just loves shopping and doesn't quite understand why it isn't my favourite thing ever.

Oh, on the topic of What Not To Read, do not under any circumstances read (or watch) We Need To Talk About Kevin at this point.

Secondsop · 06/10/2012 11:20

Morning all. Another one who couldn't sleep here! Awake till 4am then up at about 7. Feel awful now.

willyou I've also got gestational diabetes - found out a few days ago and I have my appointment to get the finger pricker thing next week.

HoneyMum21 · 06/10/2012 17:01

I am going to murder the inventor of flat packed furniture.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 06/10/2012 17:56

Hey secondsop, I already have mine but I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing with it! My readings are super low so I'm not sure if I'm just doing it at the wrong time Grin we'll see on Monday!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 06/10/2012 18:04

Well I bought stuff for the baby that probably isn't needed but is wanted. I got a lamb skin carseat/buggy liner. A buggy snuggle (obv won't be used for a while yet) some Christmas baby grows. A humphries corner nappy stacker. I also got another swinging seat because the one sold to me online with 'replacement straps' does have these but they aren't the official ones and they don't fit on the chair Angry. But anyway yeah I got a new one. And a car seat shade/rain cover (bargain £2.50). And then a few clothes for the big kids.

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday!

Secondsop · 06/10/2012 18:30

I'm still bereft of baby things but am planning a visit from a friend who is going to lend me a load of stuff, and then there's an NCT sale in Nov, so between those (plus big nappy run etc) I'm hoping to be reasonably well set. I'm being lent a buggy and a friend has bought me a nappy dalek as a present. I just need to buy a carseat but have outsourced that to my husband for him to research what types fit in our car etc.

HoneyMum21 · 06/10/2012 19:06

Whats a nappy dalek? Please say its a real thing and not a typo!

SpottyTeacakes · 06/10/2012 19:09

WillYou your readings sound great you can't do it wrong Grin
