stunt that is amazing toe reaching! Yes we have been looking at a couple of houses that we could buy for silly money n the same road we will be building on in Annalong, but I think we can still build a touch cheaper and the point is we build on the farm and get the views we want and we NEVER move again hoorayyyyy. However it does mean we should be able to negotiate with builders a bit. Fingers crossed. SIL has been struggling to sell her house n Lisburn.

pasties I could go some pancakes now!

DH I read somewhere about lying on another duvet if your hips ache in the night. I didn't think it was workable when it was hot but now the weather is cooling down it could help.

vq hope your calf feels better today.

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/09/2012 08:38

stunt no idea! It's on both sides but worse on the right (I think baby leans towards the right more) I just assumed it was one of those preg things!

sophia oh haven't heard that, might give it a go tonight.

kirrinIsland · 23/09/2012 08:39

tits you have my sympathy :( When I said up thread about Canterbury not being a good place to actually live in, that's why. 1000s of students partying every night. It's one of the main reasons we moved.

jaylee89 · 23/09/2012 08:59

morning ladies.

well my god the term 'nesting' is it??? has become very bloody apparent to me since tuesday...i have litrally emptied my house of crap i dont use or want and now my house is virtually bare. every cupboard, draw and wardrobe has been emptied and cleaned. all washing and ironing done. i did my own wardrobe on wednesday and have about 10 items left in there mostly maternity clothes Shocksuppose its a good way to go shopping after baba arrives!

mother thinks bump has dropped but im not to sure think its just my uterus is small lol. have been having some BH at times but nothing painful. well more sorting today only have coat cuboard and small cupboard in living room left.......cant wait. (how is it even possible to get excited over cleaning) I MEAN SERIOUSLY???

also another lovely and tmi question for you ladies......how am i supposed to shave my 'foo' it is a problem to bend over let alone try this ill end up shredding myself into spaggetti. ouch any tips would be highly appreciated Grin

horseylady · 23/09/2012 09:09

I do mine in the shower can still just about bend!!!

Right im about to so my last show. Am awaiting the comments from fellow riders......put a fleece on and it just about goes over the bump!!

ValiumQueen · 23/09/2012 09:13

jaylee get your partner to do it, get a wax at a salon, use a beard trimmer type thing, or plait it, or just go natural! We are naturally hairy down there. It is ok to have fluff.

I too can reach my toes still, but wobble like a weeble.

We appear to have a short list for names : Grayson (Gray) or Abel (Abe). Driving me potty! Grayson is an anogram of Gary's son. A feeble anogram admittedly.

Brockle · 23/09/2012 09:13

I am the same DH, I take paracetomol before I go to bed which helps for a bit and a kiddie duvet on top of the mattress. I am sure that the discomfort I get is linked to where and how the baby is lying.

DH has put sky sports on for a month which includes sky movies. Really sore today and husband at football coaching classes so we have decided we are having a veg day of movies with homework thrown in so I don't feel like such a bad mummy.

MissMummy1 · 23/09/2012 09:20

Jaylee I gave up when I cut myself (cue lots of swearing) at about 24 weeks. Might treat myself to a wax nearer the event, might get dh to do it.

He's going away for 10ish days with work/diving today. We used to spend weeks apart and think nothing of it but now i'm a teary wreck that i'm going to miss him Sad. Not helped that my PITA teenage sister is coming to stay for a few days - mainly to save any shred of relationship she has left with my parents! Suppose it's good practice for the teenage years. Drink cupboard will be locked and car keys well hidden! (she's apparently treating us to a takeaway tonight though so musn't grumble...)

Iheartpasties · 23/09/2012 09:37

Aww missmummy I had to giggle, one minute they are pissing us off no end and the next we get weepy if they are going away :)

I think I just had a strop becoz dh mentioned he might rearange the bedroom furniture, I like the window to be above my head, and as far as I am concerned that is the law. Don't mess my head up by moving the bed!!!! He is putting the cot up, yippee!

And yes to the sore hips, such an annoyance now. I think baby rests on my right hip sometimes, ouchie.

pikz · 23/09/2012 09:49

Just caught up on about 12 pages! Having a manic weekend with a full day at nct yesterday which DP was not too thrilled about!

Sorry to hear about all the aches and pains. My ribs are killing me!

eversomuch · 23/09/2012 09:57

Still reaching my toes, but probably not for long.

VQ Of your name choices, I like Grayson best and think Gray is a cool nn.

We've got our list down to four or five names. DH still doesn't love my first choice :( but the others are all good options that I could live with and not really feel like I've settled.

Moving house next weekend. Still so much to do, but this morning I am off to a much needed, much deserved massage. Yay!

Have decided to pack my hospital bag while I'm packing for the move, so that will be one task accomplished well ahead of time. Has anyone else already packed theirs?

34wk scan tomorrow. Should give me some idea of whether I'll be having an ELCS or trying for a VBAC. Leaning towards the ELCS.

Titsalinabumsquash · 23/09/2012 10:40

Can I ask? Am I the only one that thinks "wetting the baby's head" is an old fashioned, sexist and wanky tradition?

DP's father is all ready on about it being a tradition that must be upheld... Apparently a civilised family meal to celebrate our son isn't good enough. Hmm

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/09/2012 10:45

The only thing I say about waxing is make sure the hair isn't too long otherwise it's more painful.
I'm going to get dh to trim it then ill get it waxed but not til about 37/38 weeks so it'll last during/ after the birth!

applepieinthesky · 23/09/2012 11:09

Morning ladies. Sympathies to all those with aches and pains. My cold is slightly better today but still quite bad. I'm debating whether to go to work tomorrow or not. I've only had one day off sick since I've been pregnant and all year I think. Hmmm..

TheDetective · 23/09/2012 11:14

Am propped up in bed, all comfy :) slightly better nights sleep. DP still snoring loudly though :( I was tempted to chuck him out on to the sofa at one point.

Calf still painful. Sorry VQ I bet you felt like a bad smell Grin debating who to ring. It would have to be over a weekend wouldn't it?! :( I really don't fancy an overnight stay

Stunt, have you tried the usual tricks to get baby moving?

TheDetective · 23/09/2012 11:17

Wetting the babies head is just a pile of sexist crap. Put ones foot down on that matter Tits!

DP hasn't mentioned anything of the sort. Probably because he knows what my response would be Grin

Besides. He isn't really a mans man, and he drinks wine. Haha! And none of his mates have kids so it is unlikely to be suggested! Phew :)

TheDetective · 23/09/2012 11:18

Pubic hair. It's giving me a headache wondering what to do...

I've come up with 2 solutions. Peephole knickers. Or trim sat over the loo with a mirror and scissors. I think I'm going with the full hair look but at least you won't be able to plait it...!

Iheartpasties · 23/09/2012 11:19

thedetective are you gunna get your leg checked out then? :)

TheDetective · 23/09/2012 11:20

Yes

I'm going to shower first though. I smell.

GTbaby · 23/09/2012 11:22

Sry haven't read any posts since yesterday. Hope r all well. Just want to know of this is normal.
My pelvic bone hurts. When I'm lying down, and try to turn over it hurts. It's te bit between my legs but at the front. That's the pelvic bone right? Had it for a few days now. But it really disturbed my sleep last night n ive had enough.

Titsalinabumsquash · 23/09/2012 11:23

Oh glad it's not just us the Detective! Btw as someone who ignored a painful calf and was later admitted with a pulmonary embolism in my first pregnancy, I must urge you to get it checked < stern look >

Anyone have any ideas to cheer a pregnant, grumpy lady up? I've laid on my bed all morning feeling chuffing miserable. It's raining and grey and the kids are entertained by the Xbox, DP is on the PC watching crappy anime the house is tidy , the washing is done and I have nothing to do and I'm bored and fed up. (Aka barrel of laughs) Grin

Titsalinabumsquash · 23/09/2012 11:24

As for lady garden topiary, I just hack blindly with a razor in the shower, I've yet to cut off anything important Grin

GT that's an SPD pain if ever I heard one. Sad

Iheartpasties · 23/09/2012 11:24

GT I have that too, I've had it for months though?!

ValiumQueen · 23/09/2012 11:37

GT that is the SPD or PGP we keep mentioning. Hopefully it will not develop.

Having sliced my inner labia in the past whilst blindly hacking away, I do not recommend it. DH could pick me out of a line up no problem, and it bled like a very bloody thing. I should have had it stitched, but was too embarrassed.

tits I think wetting the baby's head is fine for a first child if mother and child in hospital and being cared for. Not when older children need looking after.

Iheartpasties · 23/09/2012 11:39

tits sorry to hear you are fed up, do you have a book you can read? have a nice soak in the bath?

I'm just about ready for bed, but I think 8.30 pm is a bit early.
