Congratulations hooya nice to meet you and hope you join us properly with confidence very soon. Hope the scan goes well too.

somethingwittynot · 16/09/2012 10:21

I have to more private scans comig up the next one being on my birthday! Though my 20 week scan is next month! I paid 200 for three private scans and worth the money as they include free pictures and a DVD. So I have scans at 22 and 28 weeks private then 20 26 32 an 36 on the goo old nhs! I'm 16+5 btw :)

fryingpantoface · 16/09/2012 11:05

Hurrah hooya (couldn't resist)

Something I'm jealous of all your scans. Dh has said we can have private ones though so it's picking when!

tiredteddy · 16/09/2012 17:38

I am so tired! We have been busy with more clearing out and re-organising at the TEDDY house. I've sorted out all my clothes and wardrobe etc and so has DH. Going to do the boys stuff tomorrow.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend?

fryingpantoface · 16/09/2012 20:34

Wow teddy, you've been busy!
Weekend has been ok. I'm so flipping tired all the time so I'm hoping to sleep more. I'm waiting for downton abbey to start then I'm going to collapse in bed. Right now my wonderful husband is making me chocolate chip cookies. A new recipe to the one I gave you something. So we're testing it out.

I find myself so sleepy and sick feeling again. Which I guess is a good thing. I have another midwife appointment on Tuesday, this time for bloods etc.

tiredteddy · 16/09/2012 20:58

Ooh I'm waiting for downton abbey too. My DH is making me a nice hot chocolate and I'm in bed waiting. I found eating as soo. As I woke up before the sick feeling really set in quite good and a little snack before bed too so those cookies will be perfect Wink

fryingpantoface · 16/09/2012 21:16

The cookies were awful. Actually rubbish.

Hooya · 17/09/2012 01:26

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Tired very nice to 'meet' you and congrats that it's a girl! I think I remember the other folks on here from the conception thread, though something you probably left before I joined, but you are now immortalised in thread language!

I think my due date will be around 20th May though it was so early in TTC I hadn't even figured out cycles yet so not exactly sure!

frying actually awful cookies? How disappointing!

I am finding it hard to know whether I should be getting excited / mentally prepared at all or just keep pretending this isn't happening. Next scan is on Friday which would have me at over 5 1/2 weeks so poss too early for heartbeat, but we'll just be looking to see whether it has grown since the last scan. Will be a very very nervous moment in the hooya household... Honestly we thought TTC would take at least 6 months so getting upduffed in month 2 is a shock. I envy all you second- and third-timers who know a bit about what's to come!

Hope tiredness / sickness gets better for you all and you keep having such great scans. I will pop in and out and really really really hope to appear on Friday as a proper grad!

WingDefence · 17/09/2012 07:41

Morning all! Hooya I really hope you'll be back with good news :)

Frying you gave me the recipe - or did you give one to Something too?!

I went through my box of old maternity clothes last night and it was like seeing old friends again! My trusty Gap maternity jeans that I wore ALL THE TIME, and after DS was born for a good few months as well Blush and I've got a pair of elasticated work trousers out for my trip to London today.

Got to find a top that doesn't make me look pg now though! I would have told my boss today but now I'm not as far ahead it can wait a couple of weeks.

Right, better get ready. At least I'm not on the red-eye train today!

fryingpantoface · 17/09/2012 08:00

I meant you. I thought "I told wing" and then wrote something. Bloody idiot.

Enjoy clothes and London!

Hooya, understandably it's a nervous time, but you'll be totally fine.

somethingwittynot · 17/09/2012 09:04

I'm immortalised in thread language still? Hahahaha! Off lot the drs with a chronic headache and blury eye. Feel like my brain is trying to bust out

WingDefence · 17/09/2012 09:53

Ouch that sounds painful :( It's times like these you just want to take extra strong pills but can't. Hope everything's okay. Biscuit

tiredteddy · 17/09/2012 14:31

How did the doctors go something ?

fryingpantoface · 17/09/2012 15:40

Hope you're feeling better something

tiredteddy · 17/09/2012 17:44

Yay! My sister works in the car industry and has just sent me a message to say she has got an infant carrier and the next stage carseat for us for free Grin

WingDefence · 17/09/2012 19:10

Evening all :) Tired that's great!

Something, hope you're okay?

I'm sitting on the train home having just had a delicious warm quiche in first class (it would be daft not to go first when it's cheaper than standard!) - but I'm now thinking it may have been a goats cheese quiche and I can't remember if I should be eating that or not?!

I picked up a Baby on Board badge earlier at the tube station. I emailed tfl aaaaaages ago but have received nothing so I asked at the info desk at Embankmet and got one.

I'm back down next week (and two weeks after that, and the week after that etc etc) so I'll start wearing it soon :)

Right, onto my choc mousse with cherry compote. Yum!

tiredteddy · 18/09/2012 14:38

Wow about the first class and yummy sounding food wing that's definitely the way to travel!

I'm super tired today and have achieved nothing at all! On the plus side I bought some muslin squares and tiny baby socks with an old gift card I found for M&S in my tidying at the weekend.

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 18/09/2012 15:33

Yay for tiny baby socks Tired (and for free too!).

Wing first class sounds great, much more glamorous than my chicken and mushroom soup in a mug!.

I've been to the dentist again today. My wisdom tooth is impacted and burrowing its way into my cheek .I had to take 2 lots of painkillers to get through last night but I'm worried about taking so much paracetamol in early pregnancy. What do you lot think? I've been referred to an oral surgeon but who knows when the appointment will come and they won't extract it there and then. Aargh!

Anyway on a cheerier note I did 90 minutes of interview transcription this morning....then lost it. Pood! It's my own fault for not checking how to use my new software properly first.

Think.I'm going to commiserate tonight with strawberries, fresh whipped cream and meringue whilst sat under a blanket watching casualty!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 18/09/2012 15:34

Should have read Poof not Poof giggles like my 5 yo son at the word poo!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 18/09/2012 15:36

Stupid phone autocorrect - its not even consistent with its own corrections! Anyway, enough from me. I'm sure you've all got better things to do than read random posts from me Grin.

WingDefence · 18/09/2012 16:19

Haha you have made me laugh Guinea! "Poof not Poof" Grin

Awful about your impacted wisdom tooth though. I think that ibuprofen is the more dangerous in early(?) pregnancy but you really should check with your doctor/midwife to be sure if you can? Also, if you have your free maternity card yet can you just ring up the nearest private dentist and get an extraction appointment?

I've booked the train tickets for my next few trips down to London and bar one leg of the journey (when I go down next Tuesday), 1st class was cheaper each time! Virgin trains' breakfasts are the BEST as well. A choice of full english, always cooked nicely and with lovely herby sausages, or bacon or sausage roll, or fresh fruit salad and yoghurts, or just cereal or even smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast. Oh and on top of whatever choice you make from that list there is also always extra toast and usually a small danish of some form as well! I am so going to miss Virgin when they change to plonky First in December :(

So Tired what colour socks did you get? :)

tiredteddy · 18/09/2012 16:46

Ouch about the tooth guinea hope the appointment doesn't take too long!

I got PINK socks wing I think my disbelief is finally starting to fade. I think it's unlikely she was wrong as she checked twice and didn't hesitate or mention a bad view. I'm sure they say they can't see unless they are pretty sure. We are trying to think of girls names now...

fryingpantoface · 18/09/2012 17:39

Ouch guinea! Hope it's sorted soon.

Wing, I'm not jealous at all of the first class travel!

Tired, pink socks are so cute!

Today I saw my midwife. She's wonderful. She's gonna be the midwife the whole way through. I think we are gonna go for a home birth this time.

I've also just eaten a whole, rather large, jar of pickled beetroot. All in one sitting. It was lovely.

WingDefence · 18/09/2012 18:06

Oh I luff beetroot!

I'm starving...

fryingpantoface · 18/09/2012 18:12

Now I've started on the jubbly lollies
