Ah thanks curiosity I really don't deserve it, it's very out of character for me! I'm a sahm so my chance to do stuff is the weekend when DH is home and entertaining the boys. Nearly done now. My excitement next week includes getting the jabs that I forgot to get last week Blush

WingDefence · 11/11/2012 16:51

tired are you actually Kirtsy Allsop in disguise? Grin

We've had a lazy day are a morning at church at at the village remembrance service. DS has watched Cars and Cars 2 back to back on 'his' tv in the other room while DH and I have been watching the footy and I had a 20 min snooze I love having a child that can look after himself to a certain extent so having a baby again is going to be interesting!

My week ahead is busy work-wise but thankfully at least I won't have to be travelling anywhere for a couple of weeks.

tiredteddy · 11/11/2012 17:19

Ha ha ha I just was thinking of my FB status being "tireds" homemade home is well under way! Good job no travelling for next week. Yes it's great when the DC can look after themselves a bit! Sounds like you've had a lovely day wing

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 11/11/2012 18:13

I've also had a pretty chilled out day. Went to Church this morning and was invited to a friend's for lunch so me and DD went there whilst DH painted the kids bedroom. Me and DD have just chilled out at home this afternoon while he went climbing, then DS came home and the kids entertained each other while I MNed tidied up a bit upstairs.

Discovered today via a friend on FB that DS has a learning log to be filled in and handed in to school tomorrow Shock I had seen the learning log and had a look through but the pages were stuck together and I missed the instructions page Blush I feel like such a bad mother...going to have to explain to the teacher tomorrow what happened and why DSs log is incomplete. Does it sound like 'the dog ate my homework...?' Grin

WingDefence · 11/11/2012 18:49

Guinea just fill it in tonight! Different pens, different dates etc Wink Got to be better than not doing it? Grin

tiredteddy · 11/11/2012 19:37

guinea what is a learning log? Def fill in with different pens and dates!

CuriosityCola · 11/11/2012 19:38

Another vote for 'helping' him get the log done quickly tonight. What kind of things is it meant to include?

CuriosityCola · 11/11/2012 19:38

Ha, spot the teachers pets Grin

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 11/11/2012 21:21

We spent an hr before bedtime doing it! The learning log has different tasks in it each time it gets sent home. This one was him demonstrating his knowledge of 2d and 3d shapes Confused which I discovered he knows far more of than me! I dread to think what its going to be like when he gets to high school (not that I'm pre worrying at all!)

How do I link a picture to the thread?

tiredteddy · 11/11/2012 21:27

I love a bit of Sunday night last minute homework! I promised myself that would never leave it until the last minute and we do every week! Blush

CuriosityCola · 12/11/2012 08:29

No idea how to link pictures. He will know about it as the homework will link to the work done in class. Whereas, we rarely have to identify shapes on a daily basis. Can you tell I'm covering for the fact that I'm dreadful at shapes? Grin Had to cover a year 7 maths class once and they ran circles round me (knowledge wise).

Pineapple80 · 12/11/2012 09:54

He he hope the last minute homework got sorted guinea!

And very cool about your crafty work tired, did you finish making it in the end? I have some unfinished knitting sitting around which I doubt I will pick up again till we are back in Oz now Sad.

Well I got 2 boxes packed of books and other sundry items. It is a start!

Other news is I have turned into a moody cow! What is wrong with me?! Everything really really irritates me and I just want to go back to bed! Anyway enough whingeing, I hope everyone has a good week ahead. Smile

CuriosityCola · 12/11/2012 12:57

Was very excited today to slip into super comfy maternity jeans. Then realised the stupid woman left the security tag on. Nearly cried (didn't consider wearing them anyway, no no, not I).

Another grump here. Grin

tiredteddy · 12/11/2012 13:57

Oh no curiosity how annoying!

tiredteddy · 12/11/2012 13:59

Oops pressed too soon. Yes pineapple I finished the sewing. Our lounge us looking much nicer. We live in a terrace way you come straight in to to lounge so it takes a hammering. Really needed tarting up! Good effort on the packing too!

WingDefence · 13/11/2012 07:49

Morning all :)

I have a fun day of work and flu jab to look forward to Hmm

And is anyone else getting palpitations? Went to a choir rehearsal last night and if I stood up my heart would race so I had to spend most of it sitting down. Woke up this morning with a racing heart too.
I'm not worried as such, I'm sure it's just one of those odd pregnancy things, but I just wondered if any of you had the same thing?

tiredteddy · 13/11/2012 07:52

Yes wing. I had palpitations in some of the earlier weeks but not lately. Now I have a baby very firmly wedged under my ribs! Another rubbish nights sleep here I'm very tired and got no car today as DH needs it so foot power is it. School run (1 mile each way) twice and in to town at lunch time for my flu/ whooping cough jabs that I forgot to get last week!

Pineapple80 · 13/11/2012 10:34

wing - I have noticed a bit of a racing heart but more breathlessness for me. Like I'm really unfit! I am quite active, so it's a bit strange.

My first midwife appointment tomorrow! Have managed to work from home, so it'll make things less hectic.

tiredteddy · 13/11/2012 10:37

That's exciting pineapple how many weeks will you be? Is it booking in?

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 13/11/2012 10:38

Oh dear Wing heart palpitations don't sound like fun. I did have some heart racing and breathlessness a few weeks ago and thought I might be anaemic (as the feeling was very similar to the anaemia I experienced after DS and DD). But my iron count is good apparently and it only lasted a few days, so it was probably just me being a bit under the weather combined with baby growing! Hope it subsides soon.

Have you tried kneeling on all fours to see if you can shift miniTired ? There are also some good yoga stretches (apparently) for expanding this area and helping relieve discomfort. I haven't tried them yet but Tara Lee sounds very convincing on my Pregnancy Yoga DVD! Grin

I had my flu jab a couple of weeks ago and it didn't hurt at the time but the next morning I woke up with a dead arm. DH was tired of me showing him my arm and saying 'is it bruised?' - in the end his answer was 'it will be if you don't stop asking me!'. Sometimes I think I must still be a small child as I always want people to look at my injuries/bruises etc Blush

I am trying desperately to arrange some focus groups so I can finish my blumming fieldwork this year! Wish me luck!

tiredteddy · 13/11/2012 10:55

Hi guinea you sound like you are working very hard! How are symptoms for you in general at the moment. I'm finding it really hard to work out minitireds position. I think it may still have full space to turn as kicks and bumps vary SO much day to day. It does seem to like the transverse position at times still and sometimes breech I think as it seems to tap dance on my bladder! I wonder if it's to do with my anterior placenta? I read somewhere that babies like to face the placenta so that might be why? There's time yet I hope...

Pineapple80 · 13/11/2012 11:30

Hi tired, yes it'll be my booking in appointment & I will be 8+1 tomorrow.

Giggled at your tap dancing baby on your bladder Grin

tiredteddy · 13/11/2012 12:20

OUCH!

WingDefence · 13/11/2012 16:01

Er was that OUCH for your jabs tired? I'm just about to head off for mine!

tiredteddy · 13/11/2012 16:05

Yes it was wing they really hurt. I feel like someone's punched both my arms! Giud luck with yours.
