I don't know how you have the energy, pineapple. I barely have the energy to move within the same town...the idea of packing fills me with dread!

And yes, scan at 3.15 tomorrow. Bit scared / worried, but think that's natural.

Thought I'd escaped symptoms today, until the overwhelming nausea kicked in. Apparently my boobs are bigger too, according to DH!

Bet you're glad your busy couple of days are done, Wing. I've no idea how you do it either.

WingDefence · 09/11/2012 20:06

I feel like I'm going to miss you when you move Pineapple even though 1) I've never met you and 2) you'll be back on here the minute you land at the airport, aren't you, so no loss of contact Grin

MrsBri good luck for the scan! Can't wait to hear that everything's okay when you get back :)

somethingwittynot · 09/11/2012 20:14

sorry all been manically busy and keeping my legs crossed!

tiredteddy · 09/11/2012 20:23

Hello all you busy ladies packing, working etc I had a big sleep while the boys were at school today... So hectic! Grin

WingDefence · 09/11/2012 21:05

I am jealous tired!

Something, so glad to hear you're still around and still holding on!

Pineapple80 · 09/11/2012 22:14

Ha ha wing don't worry I'll be on here even when back in Oz, probably be at odd times Grin

Have a lovely weekend ladies and thinkin of you mrsbri Smile

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 10/11/2012 10:23

I'm just catching up with the thread...

Not sure you'll read this livismum but I'm so sorry this pregnancy didn't work out - really hoping you'll be back here soon.

Good luck with the packing pineapple it is one of my most hated things, but I think I'd be quite motivated by sunshine!

Glad your manic couple of days are over wing and hope you have a relaxing weekend ahead.

tired I am especially Envy of your long sleep. I forget, when are you due? Can't be too long now.

DD went to the childminders for an extra session yesterday because I just have to get this PhD done. Had quite a productive afternoon and even managed to avoid MNing whilst sitting behind a computer for 5 hours!

My natal hypnotherapy CDs arrived yesterday and I'm really excited. Going to put them on my mp3 player today n the pregnancy relaxation cd promises better and more restful sleep - wonder if I could play it to DD Hmm

Had a lie in this morning but really must get out if bed before DH dismembers the children as I have lots of jobs to do today.
Wishing you all a lovely Saturday Smile

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 10/11/2012 10:24

P.s. let us know how your scan goes *MrsBri and something I saw your pram picture on FB - very exciting!

somethingwittynot · 10/11/2012 10:31

had my steroids last week you should see the bruise!! made my arse bleed to Grin

MrsBri · 10/11/2012 10:39

I'm jealous of anyone who sleeps well...I've been awake since 4 :-( As happens every night. Not sure why 4 though!

Just been determined to be productive and made sure the housework gets done as I failed at most of it last weekend. Bad wife!

Did two massive sneezes earlier and the round ligament pain was immense. :-(

Bit achey today too...but surely stretching is positive thing? Once I've seen a heartbeat later I'm sure I'll be happier :-)

MrsBri · 10/11/2012 10:40

Arse bleed, something?! Not nice.

tiredteddy · 10/11/2012 10:42

Agh I just typed a big long post and lost it!

guinea hello! I'm 30 weeks now so the count down begins! We are going to Guildford later to get the last baby things we need. We will then bin that list and move onto the Christmas list! A friend has bought me the Hypnobirthing book and cd which I need to have a proper look at. Is that similar to what you have?

Good luck for your scan later mrsbri

something you new pram looks lovely ! Ouch about your poor bottom Blush

Hi to everyone else, hope you have nice plans for the weekend!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 10/11/2012 12:55

Tired I've read the hypnobirthing book by Marie Mongan and the Natal Hypnotherapy book by Maggie Howell. I thought both were great but opted for the Natal Hypno one just because its slightly less new agey which is very necessary if I want OH to actually read/listen to it without snorting derisively! The essence of them is the same though - that the body is designed to birth and fear and tension interferes with the process and these cause pain.

Ouch about the bottom something but glad you've had the steroids just in case.

MrsBri I'm still getting some stretching pains and my uterus has done this twice already! I think stretching is a good sign things are moving in the upwards and outwards direction. I think because I'm on DC 3 my uterus has gone upward rapidly and the only place to go now is out! Enjoy your scan.

MrsBri · 10/11/2012 15:46

So...we have an 18.5mm wriggly bean with a heartbeat of 170. I may have cried a little. Still weepy now.

Well worth 50 quid!

Pineapple80 · 10/11/2012 16:16

Aww mrsbri so glad to hear that! Smile

Got me looking forward to my scan but still not for another 3wks yet Grin

Well packing boxes have arrives but no packing has started!! I think tomorrow ill start with the book shelf...

MrsBri · 10/11/2012 16:24

You'll be more motivated tomorrow, pineapple :-)

My NHS scan is on 11th December. Aaaaaages away!

WingDefence · 10/11/2012 16:28

Ahhh MrsBri that's great news :) Did they date MiniBri or was it just to see if everything's okay?

Pineapple get on with it! Grin

MrsBri · 10/11/2012 16:50

It was an early reassurance scan, Wing. The date they had was 21st June though, but such early days that it is all a guess, isn't it?! :-)

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 10/11/2012 19:32

Congrats on your scan news MrsBri. I lurk on the June thread too, so will 'see' you on there at some point Smile

something link to pram on here please

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 10/11/2012 19:36

Oh, to add to the positive thinking. I bought and read Ina May's birthing stories when I was overdue with ds. Really think it helped me view my labour in a positive way.

I used to play my natal therapy cd at night. Dh would always be fast asleep within about two minutes. It had a funny line about imagining your velvet tunnel expanding Grin. Used to ask dh if he felt like a strong and confident woman in the morning WinkGrin

somethingwittynot · 10/11/2012 22:32

my pram and we have a carrycot to.

yeah the steroid injections make me bleed for some reason

Pineapple80 · 11/11/2012 11:25

something - oh I cant seem to view your pram on your link? It must be super exciting getting it though! It's all happening Grin!

Ugh, packing must start today. I went to my friend's place with some other girlfriends last night for dinner and it was a lovely semi farewell for me. We plan to see each other one more time before we fly off... I have no excuse today for not starting!!

Spoke to Mum on phone just then and she actually asked me straight out if DH & I were trying for a baby yet?! It was very unlike her! I was stunned and got tongue tied and changed subject very quickly! I feel awful as I would love to tell my parents now, but still feel it is too early (7+5 today) and DH & I agreed we would tell our family and friends after 12 week scan (I managed to book a private NT scan over in Oz for when we arrive). That'll be when we are back in Oz anyway, so it isn't really that long to go. Part of me still worries about if things are OK in there etc...I guess it's normal to worry a little, right? I've also booked a private early scan for when I am 11 weeks over here, so fingers crossed all will be ok. Argh, mothers!! Shock

Hope you're all having a nice Sunday!

CuriosityCola · 11/11/2012 11:32

Ah, you big tease. The link won't work for me.

How are you feeling? Has the bleeding stopped?

Had a morning of puking here, but morning sickness is definitely getting better on the whole.

tiredteddy · 11/11/2012 11:45

pineapple well done on getting those two scans sorted. It must be reassuring to know they are coming up. Now no heavy lifting whilst packing!

For today's activity I am sewing a new cushion cover for our window seat and some voile panels for the bay window!

CuriosityCola · 11/11/2012 16:06

I have been a very lazy person this weekend. Monday is going to get me like a ton of bricks. Anyone got anything exciting planned for the week ahead?

Good luck with packing Pineapple.
