Ello there Persuasion! Lovely to see you on here!

Livi glad things seem to have settled down. Poor you :(

Pineapple - yes get a seat! I'm arranging lots of meetings for 2013 and I'm trying to work out how late I want to be travelling down to London. I'm thinking definitely not in the last month (ie in March) but one of my committees wants March meetings instead of the February dates I'd offered and I didn't want to tell them by email that I was expecting! They are meant to do what I tell them! Angry

tiredteddy · 05/11/2012 16:34

Hi persuasion nice to see you! Mum is on the mend, she's been up to hospital today so I'll get and update later.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 05/11/2012 20:04

Really struggling to keep up with this thread.

Hope you are ok something and baby is still snug.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 05/11/2012 20:04

P.s. we now have three bfps on the just Mumming thread! Smile

tiredteddy · 05/11/2012 20:11

Hi all. Welcome Persuasion congrats on your BFP.

Hope everyone who has been feeling poorly is feeling better. I have had a headache for about 3 days now but it does seem to be getting gradually better so hopefully by the weekend it should have gone!

DSs birthday party was a success, though I totally overdid it and am horrendously unfit and could barely walk that night!

WingDefence · 06/11/2012 08:47

Guinea was it a keep-fit party?! Confused

livismum · 06/11/2012 10:00

FFS had a bit of "fresh" bleeding last night and it's still there (though darker) today, it's only on wiping but defiantly there, waiting to hear from Midwifes (left message on machine) no cramping but not going to get my hopes up and as DH said nothing can be as bad as the mmc/suspected molar/urgent surgery of June! Sorry to bring the thread down guys but only DH knows in RL so a bit lonely Sad

tiredteddy · 06/11/2012 10:21

Oh livi here's a hand to hold. Thinking of you. It's so worrying isn't it. I did have early bleeding with both ds1+2 and it was very worrying. Hopefully the midwife will get back to you and send you for a scan. Hugs x

WingDefence · 06/11/2012 10:38

Here's a Brew and a Biscuit for you livi. I can't imagine how stressful it is but I hope you're able to get an early scan.

And you're not bringing the fred down - we're all here for each other, no matter what happens xx

Pineapple80 · 06/11/2012 10:51

Thinking of you livismum, I have everything crossed for you.

OhGood · 06/11/2012 11:23

Oh livi everything crossed for you here too.

livismum · 06/11/2012 11:39

Thanks lovely ladies your support means a lot Smile no more bleeding, no phone call back yet! The EPU at my local hospital is open 11.30-1.30 need referral from GP or midwife (so hopefully they can do that over the phone) can't really be bothered with the hassle of begging GP's receptionist for an appointment then sitting down there for an hour (as they are always behind) just for a referral! Meanwhile having lots of tea and biscuits! Xx

tiredteddy · 06/11/2012 12:11

Could a GP do a call back/ telephone consultation and then a direct referral without you going there? Try the midwife again? Well done on being calm with tea and biscuits.

mandasand · 06/11/2012 14:07

Hope it's something and nothing livismum. So worrying, I know... Thinking of you.

ChildOfThe1980s · 06/11/2012 14:12

Hi livi hope you are ok and you get the scan soon.

Persuasion · 06/11/2012 17:53

Any luck with the GP/midwife/EPU livi? I hope it's just a scare and all is ok.

livismum · 06/11/2012 18:06

I'm a bit rubbish and didn't get anywhere today Blush midwife answering machine did warn it could take 24hrs to get back to me, they said to ring labour ward in an emergency (seemed a bit dramatic to me! and they phoned me back on an hour yesterday re booking in) couldn't get through to GP's surgery on phone, went down there but could only offer late appointment tomorrow booking in advance or suggested doing the "keep ringing" game first thing (right on school run!) to get an appointment in morning! Had no bleeding all day so was a bit more chilled but it's just started again (still just on wiping!) so although it won't change the outcome I WILL get to EPU somehow tomorrow even if I just turn up thanks again for the messages ladies Smile

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 06/11/2012 19:01

livis hope the bleeding remains very minimal/stops. I fully agree with your turn up at EPU approach. Just pretend you've got an appointment/referral and act outraged when they can't find you!

Wing I decided to run around after a group of 6 year olds at which point all the adults gasped, which just goes to show what a shock it is to see me jogging!

tiredteddy · 06/11/2012 19:21

Yes get to the epu tomorrow livi and keep us posted x

Practisingparent · 06/11/2012 21:46

Hi all. Been a while. Definately into the hair bobble on jeans stage, and loving my new maternity leggings, nice and snug over the belly type. Week 16 now. Still getting a lot of bloating and occasional sickness, lots of lethargy, waiting expectantly for the 2nd trimester energy spurt! Just hired a cleaner (very excited) as I so cannot be bothered with cleaning at the mo and cant see it getting better once baby arrives! My cravings are for very sour stuff. Pickled onions, salt and vinegar crisps etc and any kind of potatoes, cannot stomach meat at all at present. i have also been put under a consultant for low platelets... happy days!

something hope everything has calmed down for you, def not time yet (though viable if he does decide to make an appearance).

livi hope everything goes well tomorrow, good luck!

tiredteddy · 07/11/2012 07:52

Hi practising sounds like you are growing nicely! I'm still off sweet stuff too. What dies low platelets mean?

How are you this morning livi ?

WingDefence · 07/11/2012 09:55

Thinking of you today livismum Thanks

livismum · 07/11/2012 12:24

Seen my GP (he's lovely but a bit rubbish!) initially booked me in for bloods on Friday as he didn't think EPU would see me before 7 weeks, I pointed out I thought they would Smile so he phoned me back after I'd left and said he has booked me in at EPU tomorrow 11.50 which works well with DD2 at Playschool! Bleeding a bit worse so presuming its all not working out but at least I'll see someone! Think I feel better now it's out of my hands, xx
