Banana before bed teddy? I'm pretty certain that is meant to help and isn't an old wife's tale.

I'm nearly 8 weeks and realised none of my jeans fit today. I can get them closed, but can't stand the feeling of my tummy being restricted.

Trying to graze throughout the day to keep away the nausea. Not worrying about what it is I eat, if I fancy it I eat it.

tiredteddy · 02/11/2012 20:32

Thanks manda and curiosity on the shopping list for tomorrow!

Grazing is good too. Nausea is def worse if you are empty. I still get the occasional sicky days when very tired. Go buy yourself some nice comfy maternity trousers!

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 02/11/2012 20:53

Cross post Grin.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 02/11/2012 20:54

I would have a couple of pairs from last time if I hadn't got to bursting point...ended up cutting the elastic in both of them Blush

tiredteddy · 02/11/2012 21:30

Oh no does that make them useless thus time? Good excuse ti go shopping maybe? Grin

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 02/11/2012 21:46

Morning all. DH and Ds1 are out at football training. Ds2 is busy with birthday craft sets. I'm going to change the beds ready for pil visit tonight. They are bringing a shiny new cot for baby tired! Smile

MrsBri · 03/11/2012 10:57

Morning all!

Just booked a private scan for next Saturday afternoon. Got a little trip to St Helens, but was only 50 quid and there's no chance of meeting anyone we know!

How are people feeling today? I'm finding that taking things slow = less nausea. Always a bonus!

Pineapple80 · 03/11/2012 16:53

tired - ooh that's lovely about the new baby cot! Exciting Smile

mrsbri - good to hear about your private scan is booked in. I booked one for when I'm 11 wks, so about 4 weeks time. It's a very nerve racking but exciting time isn't it? Let us know how you get on.

Last night on the way home from work, felt very warm on train. I was standing and started to feel weird, dizzy and vision started going bright-like... Made it to my stop and stumbled off train on to platform and tripped over my own bags etc but managed to find a bench to catch my breath and get my vision back Sad. Was all sweaty too. It was very scary and weird! I never get faint! I was a bit shaky but made it up tube and home. Think it was low blood pressure, GP took my BP when I saw her almost 2 wks ago and said it was bit low. Feel fine today anyway. Anyone else experience this before? Hope it doesn't happen again!

Hope you're all having a good weekend Smile

somethingwittynot · 03/11/2012 17:50

Well were home and still cooking. Still contracting ( 1-2 in 10) but tonight is about 2-3 in 10. Im getting steroids n tuesday ( 24 wks) baby is happy

Pineapple80 · 03/11/2012 18:10

So glad you and baby are ok something

MrsBri · 03/11/2012 18:23

Yes, echo that. Thank goodness you're both well.

tiredteddy · 03/11/2012 20:29

Yes very glad you are ok something

pineapple thanks! I'm feeling very lucky as cot has been made up and is lovely and MIL has just said shed like to buy us the new buggy we'd been looking at. Do you think you had low blood pressure and that you feel faint? Or lie blood sugar levels? Glad you are ok but maybe ask the MW what she thinks?

WingDefence · 04/11/2012 13:35

Phew Something and you take care of yourself MrsBri! If you start to feel faint, do ask for a seat if you can. You don't have to say you're pg if you don't want to, but you can ask and say you're feeling faint (and then look really bleugh when you sit down so people don't think you're fibbing Wink).

We had a fab day in Blackpool yesterday. Took DS to see Starlight Express which he loved with my DPs and DSIL and the two DNeices. DH and DBIL went to the pub to watch some footy. Then Harry Ramsden's for a chippy tea and drove through the illuminations (took 90 mins!).

It's sunny but FREEZING up here today. Has anyone had any snow?

tiredteddy · 04/11/2012 16:37

No snow here wing ! Hope we get some though. Starlight express is great we saw that a few years ago in Milton Keynes.

ChildOfThe1980s · 04/11/2012 19:56

We had snow this morning, but it didn't settle. Sounds like you had a lovely time wing

livismum · 05/11/2012 10:49

We had a little bit of snow but not enough to keep me off work unfortunately! Struggled a bit yesterday 6hrs on my feet, (clothes shop, kids dept!) when the day before the DD's tummy bug had caught up with me, (bleugh!) last night had some.....TMI WARNING brownish blood discharge END OF TMI...... so possibly a sign of overdoing it, 6 weeks now so should prob ring midwife but bit worried its tempting fate, going to sit around today and eat cake!

WingDefence · 05/11/2012 13:20

Poor you being ill Livi :( TMI alert - I found that in the early days of this pg, I was really constipated and that caused tiny amounts of spotting. Was your tummy bug poo-related as that might be the reason?

But yes, get some rest and stop overdoing it too!!

tiredteddy · 05/11/2012 13:24

Yes take it easy livi could be the tummy bug or normal early spotting. Brownish is good too as that's old blood. Hope you are ok. Call the MW if you are worried they could scan ti check maybe?

livismum · 05/11/2012 14:13

There hasn't been any more today, tummy bug was very much Poo related, and i ached all over after (poor little lentil bean) I've made my booking in app for 2 weeks today so I'm in the system!! Smile

Pineapple80 · 05/11/2012 14:17

livismum - hope you feel better soon and yes agree you should rest up as well!

tired - aww and a buggy too, that really is lovely of your MIL Smile. Sound like your almost set with the big items now?

Well not sure of my almost fainting episode was low BP or low blood sugar? Assumed it was BP because of the lower reading at the GP. I will def raise it when attend my first midwife appointment which is in a week and 2 days time. Will def be taking a seat on train this evening!

something - how are you feeling and baby still doing well?

Wishing you all a good week ahead!

Persuasion · 05/11/2012 15:16

Can I join?? I was on the JS thread but dropped of a few months ago as it was all getting too stressful. Then I got my BFP on thursday!

I'm 6 weeks today, and don't have to see the GP around here, just the midwife in 2 weeks for a first appointment. I seem to oscillate between excited, and terrified something will go wrong.

I see there's been lots of drama recently. Fingers crossed for you and baby something and for your mom tired
