livismum your post made me laugh ... It very much sounds like the sort of thing I'd do! [hgrin]

Wing glad you got home and managed to get a seat on the train, God obviously read your MN post and decided to intervene!! BTW I think your pizza party is fab, just make sure you put down plastic sheeting first - cheese is a nightmare to get out of carpets!

It's DSs birthday tomorrow and he's very excited. It's his birthday party on Saturday and I decided, in my infinite wisdom, to hire a community centre but not the bouncy castle Confused so now I have to think up party games to keep 15-20 3-6 year olds happy for nearly 2 hours! Any and all suggestions welcome!

Went to the antenatal clinic at the hospital this morning and they actually recommended a vbac so I didn't have to push for one like I thought I might. Just have to work on OH now. He panics about things and worries that it will be more dangerous than another elcs. We have another appt after the 20 week scan though so I think I'll just point him at the doctors and wait that should give him an opportunity to ask lots of questions.

Got a focus group for my PhD tonight but my computer/printer is playing up so feeling a bit cross. Hope you're all having a good day.

somethingwittynot · 30/10/2012 15:58

spent the night in a&e dislocated my shoulder and had to go to theatre in the end to get the bugger back in.xx

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 30/10/2012 16:08

something that's terrible. How are you feeling now? Did I miss a post about how you did it?

I warn you, it is very yummy and very addictive wing. The key is 'less is more' with the toppings. Dh's pizza is always a nightmare to get to the oven from the weight of the toppings. Oh, the tomato sauce is super easy too!

tiredteddy · 30/10/2012 16:38

Ouch something how did you do that? Are you home now? A very gentle hug x

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 30/10/2012 17:36

Gosh something that sounds painful. hope you have a speedy recovery - make sure you take it easy. I think it probably calls for a medicinal Wine

somethingwittynot · 30/10/2012 19:07

medicinal Wine gladly accepted. well i trod.on a coke bottle slipped flew backwards into the bannister, bannister smaked me square along the side of the shoulder blade xx

WingDefence · 30/10/2012 20:56

Good grief something! Hope the Wine helps...

WingDefence · 31/10/2012 09:21

Morning all [hsmile]

Anyone got any GP/MW appointments or scans due soon?

I was looking at the stats thread last night and wondering where a few people were but then again I have to accept that not everyone can come on here and update as often as I do ie all the time we do [hgrin]

MrsBri · 31/10/2012 10:01

Morning Wing, I need to update the stats but am mostly on my phone, so it is impossible!

My midwife hasn't contacted me yet, annoyingly. :-(

Only 6+4, I suppose.

tiredteddy · 31/10/2012 11:08

The only appointments I've got coming up are for the flu and whooping cough jabs! Next week. Eek!

livismum · 31/10/2012 11:12

Happy Halloween!!

Gosh something that sounds ouch!

You will all be glad to know I have washing in with proper powder and everything Grin
I possibly should come to this thread with a warning, when pg with DD2 my DH joked with any further DC I would need to be kept under lock and key, I managed to go shopping in every large supermarket without my purse, got locked out a few times, was generally a big forgetful head (put stuff away in wrong places etc) but the worst things were in the car, I reversed in to a stationary vehicle once and put the wrong fuel in one of the cars Blush

I too mainly post from my phone so someone might need to put me on list (or I could fish lap top out!)

tiredteddy · 31/10/2012 11:19

Ha ha LIVISMUM that's def the pregnant brain. I can join you though, post giving birth with both DS's I've crashed our car! Both times my fault! Blush I shall be walking everywhere for 3 months after dc3 arrives! Grin

livismum · 31/10/2012 11:25

Let's just hope it doesn't get worse with each DC tired my mum left my brother at karate club when he was little (my sister went and mum had forgotten she had taken him!) realised when she got home! That was her 3rd child and my bench mark, as long as I don't leave a child anywhere I'm doing ok!

WingDefence · 31/10/2012 11:32

Well livi if leaving a chld somewhere is good enough for the Prime Minister... [hgrin]

Tired you must be so far along if you're getting your whooping cough jab already! I've got my flu jab booked for a couple of weeks time but I can't remember soon

MrsBri, chase up in a week or two if you still haven't heard?

StuckInTheFensAwayFromHome · 31/10/2012 11:36

Do you get a pregnancy brain straightaway because yesterday I was a complete numpty - went the wrong way round a ring road, but didn't notice for ages, so by the time I did it wasn't worth turning round so I just carried on - adding shedloads of time and miles to a journey that was already delayed due to traffic. And then cried about it. And then very close to tears again when I got home and told my boyfriend!

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow with midwife - but given that I had my early scan last week I think it may be an anti-climax until I get to have my 12 week scan...

tiredteddy · 31/10/2012 11:41

Yes wing I think I'm leading the pack at 29 weeks! On the count down now...

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 31/10/2012 15:08

I'm 7 weeks +3. Don't have my booking in appointment until I'm nearly 13 weeks Shock. My next scan is the day after.

Loving the baby brain stories. Grin

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 31/10/2012 15:09

[hshock] [hgrin] forgot my hats!

ChildOfThe1980s · 31/10/2012 15:21

I had my booking-in appt with the midwife today. EDD is 30 May. :)

I have my first scan on 15 November- it's all starting to feel very real now.

Hope you are all well. I'm getting a lot of sickness, but finding that reassuring.

Not long to go then tired- are you feeling ready-ish?

tiredteddy · 31/10/2012 15:54

child I think I'm starting to get ready but there's a way to go. Most stuff is sorted. My sister got us a car seat (she works in the industry), we have all the boys old stuff like swinging chair, cot, lots of neutral clothes as we didnt know they were boys to start with. I've bought a few girly bits as that is apparently what thus one is! I haven't taken any labels of though in case they were wrong. We need a new buggy/pram though as the old massive one wont fit in the car anymore.

somethingwittynot · 31/10/2012 18:52

23 weeks here! Think im gunna have to go docs in morn shoulder is so painful and cant do anything and just doesnt feel and look right its never usally like this

Pineapple80 · 31/10/2012 19:16

I'm 6+1 today. Got my confirmation letter for my booking in appointment which is 2 wks time.

mrsbri - my GP apparently faxed my referral to hospital twice (upon my request because I called hospital and they hasn't received it after a week). The appointment bookings lady said it wasn't received still so she said I could self refer over the phone! So that's what I did in the end. I knew my GP would somehow stuff things up. Not saying your situation is the same but the self referral is new to me an thought others might want to know that. Smile

wing - Melbourne Grin

I love the kids birthday party ideas! Pizza party, fantastic! I'll have to remember some of these for the future.

something hope your shoulder get better quick smart. It sounds painful Sad

Hope you're all well.

MrsBri · 31/10/2012 19:30

Hmmm...interesting, Pineapple. I'll call on Friday when I'm off work. Won't risk doing it in work. See what is happening.

Hope your shoulder feels better soon, Something.

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 31/10/2012 20:13

Something I dislocated my kneecap last June and it took ages to heal. Ligaments and tendons take longer to heal than bones so expect it to be painful for a while, try not to do too much, otherwise you might cause more damage. Ligaments/tendons aren't designed to be super stretchy because they provide support so they suffer a bit more when wrenched out of place! When will you go back to clinic for them to check you over?

Hope you're taking regular paracetamol and the medicinal Wine

WingDefence · 31/10/2012 20:17

Wow something I can't believe you're already at 23 weeks. But then again, it doesn't feel like it's been 12-13 weeks since I was last in the JSing fred!

Talking of which, I lurked on there a couple of days ago and they are all talking about using OPKs! [hshock] I felt like wading in and reminding them of the EOD method and the fact that OPKs just aren't allowed on the JSing fred!!

Pineapple I visited Melbourne in 2001. Great city and I found the history of it (gold rush etc) fascinating. Didn't visit Ramsey St though [hgrin]
