Woman i will drop you a pm :) have another scan tomorro

tiredteddy · 19/10/2012 12:10

woman Mum won't be out until this eve I think at least 5/6 hours long op. She went in at 11.30. Feel sick waiting Sad

Ds2 was so happy to be first in his class to be 5!

wing I have had more headaches and migraines too. Some really bad ones. Been using those cool strip things at home they help a bit.

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 19/10/2012 15:52

wing did you mean to name Mrs Bri?

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 19/10/2012 15:57

tired sorry to hear about your mum. Hope her operation goes well.

For those of you who suffer headaches. Do you have those head massaging gizmos? It looks like a handle with wires sticking out. My sister bought one from Hawkins B and uses it when she has a migraine. Or if she is lucky her dh massages her head with it for her (lucky lady). Smile

Still no real symptoms here except tiredness. Had hyperemis last time, so fingers crossed for a different type of pregnancy. Preferably one that doesn't rely on lucozade as a lifelineGrin

WingDefence · 19/10/2012 16:10

Curiosity she did it herself upthread!

I have had a regular (about once every 20-30 secs) little bump inside on the level of my waistband for the past couple of minutes. I think it must be MiniWing Grin

tiredteddy · 19/10/2012 16:22

Maybe it's miniwings hiccups?

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 19/10/2012 16:44

That's exciting, it sounds like hiccups Smile

MrsBri · 19/10/2012 18:23

Fx your mum's op went well, tired.

We are in Iceland and it is utterly amazing! I would recommend it to anyone :-)

And yes, Wing, it is I! Finally joining you here.

Woman. I am also 4 wks 6 today. Matching due dates then!

tiredteddy · 19/10/2012 19:06

Thanks for kind wishes everyone. Mum is out on the ward just waiting for dads latest report on his way home.

mrsbri we were in Iceland in august for my sisters wedding and then a bit of a holiday. She got married at sejalandfoss waterfall. So beautiful! Enjoy it it's an amazing country.

AWomanCalledHorse · 19/10/2012 19:19

for you mum tired, glad she's out of op alright. x

MrsBri, oooh! We're in competition Grin
Iceland is on our to do list (I just need to get over my dread of flying).

Wing, hurrah for hiccups. What a stressy sounding meeting/situation, will you deffo stand down?
Emmerdale is the only soap I can stand, but haven't watched it for a while (know what happened in the live episode! very surprised at the death)!

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 19/10/2012 19:37

Glad everything went ok tired. Your poor dad must be shattered as well.

Just trying to convince ds that it is bed time. I really need to get his sleep sorted before I have another bundle of non sleeping energy! I think a couple of you already have children? Any tips greatly appreciated Smile

Been really naughty and had Chinese food for dinner tonight. Actually it has been a bad food day all round. Lots of carbs with more carbs.

WingDefence · 19/10/2012 19:43

Tired - so glad your mum is out safely.

MrsBri's gone to Iceland!

I know Tom Lister (aka Carl King)'s sister in law and she wasn't even allowed to know anything. I was so shocked at the violence!

DS had hiccups (hiccoughs?!) earlier and I said that I thought MiniWing had them and he seemed very chuffed that his brother/sister had too. I cannot wait to find out what I'm having Grin

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 20/10/2012 09:01

Hi all. It's been so long that I posted on this thread that it disappeared from my threads I'm on list.

The car went into the garage on Tuesday as we've been having a few issues - turns out we need: A new clutch, a new radiator, we have a major oil leak and need new brake fluid Confused

Good news is that I'm 12 weeks today! I've got my scan on Tuesday - I'm very excited but am sure I'm going to be a nervous wreck! Luckily its in the morning so not too long to wait. Going to see the consultant too so I'll be bringing up the VBAC - fingers crossed they're feeling accommodating!

Hope your DS had a great birthday Tired, we also have a leapad and its very popular!
Glad your mum is out of her op. Ok, hoping for a speedy recovery for her.

What is everyone up to this weekend. We haven't got any plans, though the weather is nice so probably something outside and free!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 20/10/2012 09:03

Ooo forgot to say how exciting for hiccoughs Wing, can't wait for miniGuinea to make their presence felt!

somethingwittynot · 20/10/2012 09:09

Why isnt there a cake emoticon? Birthday cake is needed today!

MrsBri · 20/10/2012 09:38

Ooh, tired, we are going to that waterfall today :-) It's all been spectacular so far! And exhausting!

And that sounds expensive, guinea :-( I'm surprised you were even moving in that!

tiredteddy · 20/10/2012 09:53

mrsbri we stayed at hotel ranga. Are you there too?

Happy birthday something Grin

Just spoke to mum. She's had a mastectomy and recon due to this brca1 gene my family carry. She's waiting of ward rounds. They think there's a problem with the new breasts as they've gone very hard. I just want her to get better with no complications. Good to have you all here as I'm not really telling anyone in real life. After my own op last year it can get tiring being in the limelight. Friends do care but we are hoping not to worry the boys too much so don't want people asking all the time. Sad

WingDefence · 20/10/2012 11:27

Happy birthday Something!

Tired, your poor mum - and you, for what you're going through too (and have gone through). Have a Biscuit because you can't have Wine only because it's still too early in the day and nothing to do with pregnancy of course

Please do feel free to offload on here. I haven't had to go through anything like that with my parents and I dread them getting older/sicker even though it obvusly happens to everyone.

Congrats on hitting 12 weeks today Guinea! I'm 16 weeks today - and still suffering from headaches which is a PAIN because I'm driving the lads to Old Trafford today for the match. I usually get driven so after a year of other people driving me it is about time I did a turn, and I won't be able to the fatter I get!

Right, better have an early lunch then off to the footy. Glory, Glory Man United...! Grin

Dysgu · 20/10/2012 12:00

Hi All,
It is such a long time since I posted on this thread - but thank you very much to those of you who PM'd me to check in.
This being my third PG and me being older this time, I just got to stressing too much that something would go wrong so I have spent the past few weeks burying my head in the sand and trying not to think about it too much. Work is manic but that just adds to the exhaustion but does keep me busy and I can honestly say I have not read a single PG magazine this time round - yet!

Anyway, I had my scan on Tuesday and everything is fine. Is a stubborn little thing right now and refused to get into a very good position for posing for snapshots but its measurements look okay. Is facing downwards and looks like a duck - may rename is Quackers!

We will not be finding out what colour it is until it arrives - both DDs were surprises too and we don't mind what colour we get this time.

We told the girls on Tuesday - both are very excited and DD2 (3) has already picked names (Molly and Jack). DD1 (6) is more concerned about whether this one is going to be a 'nuisance like DD2).

Anyway, hope all is well with everyone else. Congratulations to the recently up-duffed and fingers crossed for anyone going through tough times.

[knocks on door] then wanders in and finds a seat on the sofa!

Will now try to find some time to read 18 pages of threads and chuck myself into the news - can see lots of familiar names from the JS threads!

Found about about 2 weeks ago that I had a BFP but am only just back from holidays and doing important stuff like MN (rather than getting dresses, going to get some shopping and sorting out the mess of washing!)

I think I am about 7 weeks along - have absolutely zero symptoms other than a missing period. I am naively hoping this can carry on for the next 8-9 months!!!

WingDefence · 20/10/2012 20:41

Welcome back Dysgu! I've not been reading any baby mags either but I have been getting those development emails so I guess they count? I'm glad the scan went well - it must be such a relief :)

And hellllooooooooo Stuck! It must be most of the gang I knew on the JSing fred on here now bar a couple of names who haven't been lucky yet. Have you got a date for your booking in appt etc?

We've got a stats thread so please add yourself onto it!

How exciting Grin

MrsBri · 20/10/2012 21:18

Evening all...what a knackering day roaming Iceland! Not sure clambering around on rocks / wooden steps covered in sheet ice is ideal 5 weeks' pregnant activity, but there you go!

Tired, we are at Hotel Fron in the centre I'd Reykjavik...we've been getting bus, trips out and about. That waterfall is stunning. Bar the route up and down!

Thanks to you and your mum too

Oh, I need to add myself to the stats. May be easier at home on a computer though.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Still only vague tiredness, sore boobs and a bit of cramping here. Think I'd feel less scared if I had more symptoms! Plenty of time for them to kick in though, I suppose.

tiredteddy · 21/10/2012 10:03

Thanks wing you are lovely x

Hi dsygu glad you are ok. Life's mad with two dc and pregnant with number three! It's flying by fir me that's for sure.

stuck I remember you from JS thread! Make yourself very welcome and congratulations.

I've just read one of those lust about what you need for a newborn. I'm now trying to discipher what I've got already, what I need and what I never needed in the first place!

tiredteddy · 21/10/2012 10:05

Oh and mrsbri we stayed in the centre too. I heear the blue lagoon is amazing we didn't do that but did the golden circle tour. Enjoy and thanks for the flowers x

Pineapple80 · 21/10/2012 10:22

Hello ladies! I think I'm your latest grad! Mind if I join? Got my BFP yesterday and approx 4+5.

Hope you're all having a great weekend? We met friends for dinner and ate and ate and ate Grin!
