guinea did you get all the raffle tickets done?

wing that walk did sound very nice! Envy

something I've been having very strange dreams too. Dreamt I gave birth early and had to carry baby tired around in My hand it was so small. Then I kept eating its clothes? ODD!

The show last night was absolutely amazing. It had all the wow of both cirque du soleil acrobatics and the Michael Jackson dancing and theme! Amazing! Just trying to decide whether I can risk getting tickets for the new year or whether it's far too clothes to due date?

somethingwittynot · 13/10/2012 20:22

ah my DS is now crawling its like hes had a developmental brain explosion this last week

WingDefence · 13/10/2012 20:27

Tired I'm not sure I would chance it but it's up to you!! You know what it's like to be waddling along when the baby's nearly engaged and travelling is a pain in the wotsit, then sitting in a seat that might have barely any leg room...

But then again, if my fave band were playing in mid-March I'd probably want to go as well!

Will the circus be coming back to town in the future (geddit)?!

Something, well done your DS!

I have just really enjoyed watching Strictly. I was working last week so fab just to sit and watch it tonight :)

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 14/10/2012 15:13

Thanks for the link Wink. I have just signed up for the June bus too, something I never bothered with last time. One of the just Mumming girls now catches up with her group from time to time, so determined to make more effort.

Booked in for 6 week scan to check little one is in right place. App on 26th Oct.

Still not told anyone, but it's a struggle. Got handed a glass of wine on arrival at my friends last night. Have you all told many people?

tiredteddy · 14/10/2012 18:41

wing you are right. Jan dates for cirque are much to close to due date. It's just everytime I see it I love it even more! instead I shall spend jan relaxing...

Curiosty everyone knows I'm pregnant novas I have a nice bump coming along. however we told the news after the 12 week scan.

somethingwittynot · 14/10/2012 20:54

scan day tomorrow!! excited yet nervous taking my DS to a new baby group in the morning so hoping time goes quickly

tiredteddy · 14/10/2012 21:24

Good luck for tomorrow something !

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 14/10/2012 22:54

Hope you enjoy your scan something - nerve-wracking and exciting all at once! Report back please! Hope you enjoy your new group too.

Have just this minute finished all my stuff for the school disco tickets on Wednesday. Been up since 4.50 this morning and despite being exhausted I feel wide awake at the same time Confused anyone else suffered from pregnancy related insomnia?

Curiosity I have told quite a few people - I am hopeless at keeping secrets! plus something is needed to explain my strange and especially forgetful behaviour

I have my scan a week on Tuesday and it finally feels closer now. Listened to the heartbeat again yesterday and first time OH heard it, very lovely moment Smile

Hope you all enjoy your Monday and the week starts as it means to go on!

WingDefence · 15/10/2012 06:51

YAWN! Shock Morning all - I'm sitting in the waiting room at the station having been up for far too long already and my trim down to London is already 15 mins late :( At least it's 1st class so I'll get breakfast :)

Good luck today with the scan something. I've got my 16 week check up next Wed and I can't wait. I hate this waiting stage when all symptoms have gone, I just feel like I've eaten all - yes, all - the pies and it's just a case of sitting and drumming my fingers till the next appt.

Or I should say in my case, it's just a case of sitting and working my bum off at work until the next appt Hmm

Off to my cousin's tonight so I won't be able to check in till later. I must remember to buy a bottle of Wine on the way there. Now I'm not drinking I tend to put alcohol out of my mind! Might have half a glass tonight though tee hee Grin

WingDefence · 15/10/2012 06:52

My TRAIN down to London not my trim!

CuriosityColaKilledTheCat · 15/10/2012 08:26

Good luck something. Baby groups normally keep you very busy, so I'm sure time will fly. Smile

mandasand · 15/10/2012 15:14

Hi everyone, sorry for not popping in much lately, though I do have a little read now and again to check you're okay and see what you're all up to! I am most active on the due-in-March thread and that moves so fast it's really difficult to keep up! We've also set up a Facebook group and that's also been really nice to put names to faces and share scan pics. Maybe you lovelies could be persuaded to set one up too? I'm much better at FB than MN!

I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and getting really big now. Just returned from five days in Paris (half work, half play!) where I walked far too much and have really suffered with my hips and walking. DH came out for the weekend and had to put me to bed it was so bad! Have physio and osteo appointments next week to try and sort it out as I'm terrified of it getting really bad. Both placentas are anterior so I've been very late feeling kicks although on the Eurostar last night I had a series of really weird flicks or pops at the top of my belly which I'm SURE couldn't be wind - that was both weird and exciting! Couldn't say for sure which baby it was! Everything looked good with my cervix and the babies at the 18-week scan and I'm really keen to get the 20-week scan over and done with on Thursday.

In other news, I've finally submitted my book to press so that's a big relief. A journal article to submit today, a lecture to write for tomorrow evening, and a conference talk for Friday and THEN (if I successfully manage to pull out of an early November conference) things settle down and I can get some other work done ... and think about preparing for the babies more fully!

House renovations coming along slowly but surely. We got someone in to do all the woodwork in the hallways and stairwell but the rest is just me and DH so we're restricted by our busy jobs etc. My brother may come down to help us putting in a new kitchen though - fingers crossed!

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their pregnancies now - nice to see some more graduates coming up - fantastic!

Manda it's so lovely to hear from you - glad things are going so well with babies and work.

Glad your 18 week scan was good and fingers crossed for the 20 week scan. I ended up at the chiropractor when I was pregnant with DD - it was costly but the BEST money I ever spent!

Am slightly Envy of your submissions - fancy doing a PhD thesis in your spare time?! I'm really struggling with time to finish my fieldwork never mind write my actual thesis. But I know I'm incredibly lucky to have a funded PhD of my own design so musn't complain!

We've been doing some house renovations too (by we I mean OH!). Unfortunately with 2DCs who want to 'help' with the decorating we have to divide and conquer - so I end up managing DCs whilst he paints.

I like the idea of a FB group. I've got my scan next week and am really looking forward to it, but I have been listening to the heartbeat on a friend's Doppler and it's very reassuring. Can't wait to feel kicks, am so hoping that I don't have an anterior placenta (never thought I'd be saying that!)

WingDefence · 15/10/2012 17:40

Hi all! A brain-dribbling full-day meeting today and I'm now another train but this time a suburban one to my cousin's. I'm knackered so I hope she doesn't keep me up too late!

So happy to see you pop back Manda. How exciting feeling the kicks and not knowing which one it is! Grin

I hope Something's scan has gone well today...

I am friends with a couple of MNers on FB (you know who you are) but a group would be nice too.

tiredteddy · 15/10/2012 17:47

Hi manda good to hear you are doing well and so are the babies! wing enjoy your night in the mansion Grin

Facebook page sounds fun but dint ask me how to set it up I'd have no idea! Blush

mandasand · 15/10/2012 18:14

Aw, thanks for the warm welcome back you lovelies!

Sounds like you're all as busy as me with work and study :-)

Guinea, you'll get there with the thesis! I thinks data gathering is a really creative and thought-provoking stage. I rarely have time to write up all my interviews properly, for example, but the ideas discussed percolate away and feed into stuff (it's a bugger when I need to source an actually quotation, though!!)

I set up the v. private group for the Due in March peeps and it couldn't be easier. And it's totally secure for those who aren't 'out' to the world yet! (I only came out on FB last week!) So am happy to establish one for this group. It would be lovely to share scans and such. But I will set it (as I did the other one) so that any of you can add your FB/MN friends.

Give me two secs...

OP posts:
mandasand · 15/10/2012 18:20

Okay, it's called JS Graduates and the 'Secret' settings mean that 'Only members see the group, who's in it and what members post'. This does mean that you have to be FB friends with someone in the group in order to join. And I needed to add someone from my existing friends to start the group up (I have added my DH, who hates FB, is there only under duress, and will only have me as his friend!) The moment someone else joins I'll get him to delete himself! To Wing, Tired and Guinea, the three who have so far expressed interest, I'll PM my details so that you can friend me and get added. But, as I said in previous message, once people are in the group you can add each other if you're already mates on FB. Smile

Does that make any sense?! Hmm
