Thanks everyone

How are all your bumps and you bump beholders obviously? :o

I an steering well clear of maternity gear as long as possible this time as I managed to build up quite a collection with DS so must remember basics only!

Also resisting the urge to buy baby stuff as we still have rocker chair, Moses basket, cotbed and loads of unisex clothing and toys which need to be reused, although have spent £6.24 on an old style avent breast pump in the reduced aisle in Tesco... Oops

scubastevie · 02/09/2012 20:22

Evening all

Trying to chill out with DH in front of a film but feeling really nervous about tomorrows scan. Who else have we got?

Scuba
Flowery
Backward
Hermione... My already awful baby brain memory fails me! Anyone else?

I hope it goes well for everyone. Odd how some of you are experiencing vomiting now when you didn't before. After 6 and a half weeks of sickness and vomiting all day every day with my hyperemesis, today I ate lunch and dinner without feeling sick - hooray! Fx it will be over for us all soon.

Wowee marchers, we're ploughing through another thread!!
I've had such a productive weekend I'm so proud of the workload, two big rooms and nursery stripped (many, many layers of 100 year old wallpaper superglued onto the walls), base coat painted in spare room, plaster repair in the nursery, all walls and skirting washed, part of the kitchen ripped out and the laminate floor ripped up.
Though after ripping up the floor I went to see how Mr JoJo was getting on with the painting and doubled over on the stairs in agony with huge sharp cramps in my abdomen. Think I overdid it a little.
Thankfully the builders start tomorrow so the most ill have to worry about is painting the nursery (I've chosen sunflower and am adding some of those wall art stickers).

The OH bought me some delicious Thai food for dinner - I was about to naw (sp? Knaw) his arm off was so hungry!!
To complete the day we had a fabulous Aberdeenshire sunset all the way home the sky was ablaze with yellow, orange, pink and grey! Very dramatic!

Anyway I am now feeling VERY content.

Happy scan day for those of you having them tomorrow, I should have a phone call from the hospital tomorrow regarding my surgery so fx to everyone for healthy bouncing beans :)

Sorry for the epic post!!

JoJoBella84 · 02/09/2012 20:46

Gnaw!!! That sounds better!!

lannyshrops · 02/09/2012 21:07

Hey all! Sorry I've not popped by for a while, busy bust weekend! I felt grim on Friday, I was in work, struggling away and thought, what am I doing?? So I packed up, came home and had a sleep and felt loads better!

Went clothes shopping yesterday to much dissapointment, managed one pair of jeans and two t shirts, how exciting! Then had to sort out the utility as the building works for the Orangery/extetion have started and they want to get in there next week then my lovely, lovely friend came over with presents for my bump, lovely!

Today we popped out and managed to buy a new car, DH clearly decided that dad family car was needed, needless to say he is very happy!

Hope all who are feeling sicky feel better soon & super good luck for the scanees tomorrow! Xxx

zoeymlucas · 02/09/2012 21:25

Blimey a lot of catching up needed today :)

Good luck everyone with there scans tomorrow I will be looking forward to your happy posts after seeing your babies :)
Will anyone else be finding out babies sex at there later scans? Has anyone got 20 week scan date or sexing scan or is it just me with NO patience?

Had a nice day off and took boys to indoor play area as weather was rubbish and wanted them to burn off some energy. DH took 18 month old round and the 9 year old did his own thing which left me drinking hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows :) DH then took us to Zizzi got to love discount vouchers for lunch which is my fab and I ate it all with no being sick or reaching- RESULT!

jojo that sunset sounds amazing and with a full belly must of been even better! Hope u get ur op date tomorrow so you can be prepared. Mine is the 12th and I have packed a bag and everything and am only in for the day I bloody hope it's the need for control with hospitals I thing cos when I go on holiday I pack the day before!

kirsty80 · 02/09/2012 21:33

Hey marchers! Just wanted to send all with scans in the morninglots of smiles!

I'm back to school tomorrow so will not be smiling much - but will sneakily be checking my phone for all your updates!

zoey I got my 20 week scan at my 12 week scan. I put it back a week to the 22nd because it's half term then and I want to try and take as little time off as possible. I am going to book a private gender scan though at 17 weeks (October 1st) I'm pants at waiting for things!

Sleep tight everyone x x

OodHousekeeping · 02/09/2012 21:41

My 20 week is 31/10.

V jealous of those meeting babies tomorrow! Am waving over a private scan but can't really afford it.

peanutMD · 02/09/2012 21:44

I got all of my dates for consultant, anaesthetist and detailed scan right through until 36 Weeks at my 12 week (incidently it was actually an 11+5 scan).

My detailed scan is on Halloween, I shall be most disappointed if peanut is not wearing a costume! :o

I am now 13+3 btw how about everyone else?

peanutMD · 02/09/2012 21:47

Snap and x-post! :o

We don't get to find out gender here due to some Wally trying to claim money back from the hospital after buying everything pink due to being told ONCE that it MAY be a girl as they couldn't see boy bits, but turned out it was just hiding them!

OodHousekeeping · 02/09/2012 21:54

Not finding out gender here. I'm not bothered, it's not like you have a choice anyway Grin

Lexiindisguise · 02/09/2012 21:56

JoJo sounds like a very productive day!
zoey I am trying to decide whether to find out the sex at the 20 week scan! I have a MW appointment 6th Oct and 20 week scan on 12th Oct (am 14+1 today).

I am very full of food and think I might need to toddle off to bed...can't believe how quickly this weekend has gone :(

zoeymlucas · 02/09/2012 22:07

I am 12+4 today and I have booked a gender scan on 27th Sept :) glad its not just me kirsty :) it's the same place we had DS done and they had a special offer for 49.00 iif I go on a week day cos I have used them before, lol!
peanut it's nice your got all ur appointments early so know when everything is- my consultant books the next appointment when are there as he says things change so fast so likes to judge when I need to see him every time! Is doing 3 weekly at mo but has said will move to weekly at 20 till about 28 weeks!! Am hoping to drop the midwife as she is useless and consuktant has his own who checks me every time anyway and think I am being seen enough as it is!

theTramp · 02/09/2012 22:08

MrM is terribly keen to find out sex. I think he's already fed up with the "baby name shortlist game" - reason enough for me to pout & say I don't want to know the sex methinks

We too have been talking new car. This requires earning some more money - but it is always worth discussing. I am very keen on a pick up truck. It is completely impractical in almost every way apart from boot space. I suspect an SUV may be purchased.. but first MrM needs a nice new film to work on. Preferably one that finishes in Feb so I'm not all alone..

Have good scans tomorrow ladies. And those who are back to school - I'm sure the kids will be full of beans!

peanutMD · 02/09/2012 22:15

Bizarrely we have already settled on a girls name and possibly a boys name!

Last time we had a boys name but never a girls name.

girl - Cara (middle name Louise)
Boy - Ruari (possibly)

OodHousekeeping · 02/09/2012 22:19

We are crsp at boys names. Changed dd3s at the last minute last time and have a couple of girls names but not a boys name we love.

Em2010 · 02/09/2012 22:30

Hi All, I've been meaning to catch up with everyone for ages and can see I have lots of reading to get through. Hope everyone's had good weekends. Been feeling pretty rubbish here most of the weekend BUT after a particularly violent bout of retching yesterday morning I am CERTAIN I felt bubs move!!! Is 14weeks to early?? Am i bonkers?

I'm another one with my scan tomorrow- 9.30am. Good luck to all my fellow scannees!

Yes, we'll be finding out the sex at 20 weeks- I can't wait!! If they can't tell us I've already decided that we will get a private scan. We are pretending to everyone in RL that we don't know - so if anyone reading this recognises me- please keep schtum! Oh well, still got tomorrow to get through first. Fingers crossed!

Will try and catch up now.

Sleep well ladies!

theTramp · 02/09/2012 22:45

Nice names peanut.

Boys names seem much harder to find than girls names. But much easier to agree on than girls names. Strange.

We have middle names - even though I was quite keen not to have them (I'm without a middle name) but MrM has persuaded me. Due date as stands would've been MrMs Dads bday if he was still alive, so his name as a boys middle name & his aunts for a girls (she never married & has no children of her own so our way of telling her she's a VIP). I'd reflect my family there somewhere but my cousins already grabbed those names & I'm not up for repetition.

mandasand · 02/09/2012 23:23

rooting for you and your scan tomorrow scuba and others! (forgot all names but will look forward to all the scan-reports tomorrow!) hello peanut!

well, I was about to have another moan about my small twinges which have been pretty frequent this evening and I read about your exploits and severe cramps JoJo and I am chastened. definitely not been doubled over in pain so I am going to stop feeling sorry for self and thinking the worse. even had a bit of a cry about it earlier. now feel quite pathetic! have they subsided now and do you feel okay about it? (LOL re gnaw! Smile re sunset)

zoey I've got dates for 18 and 20-week scans in October. 18-week is the first of two I'll be having specifically for cervix (I think because it's twins and I've not had a baby before) and 20 week scan is for anomalies. I'm 13+5 today - time is flying!!

tomorrow I've got my bloods first thing to see if body is reacting well to potassium supplements and to monitor thyroid and thursday I'm seeing the consultant at the hospital re various 'high risk' stuff. at some point this week I'm hoping to see bossman to tell him face-to-face. have asked if he's time for a coffee, but he's just come off holiday so will be swamped. rather do it face-to-face, but if it's email and phone so be it.

confuddledDOTcom · 03/09/2012 01:12

Thanks everyone, I think I woke up around 10am, although I was IMing on my phone until about 3am Blush but even so, it was undisturbed sleep and I choose those hours. Mum picked me up and took me shopping with the girls as she'd picked them up on the way. She took the eldest two with her when she went home and is coming back for the baby later. I hate doing this but I'm wrecked! She's rung my husband in Jersey, he got cut off before he could talk to me about it, I think she thinks I'm not coping, I am I'm just wrecked. Since I typed this (been at it most of the day lol) Mum came over to get the baby with FIL and said she's taking her for the week as well and told me she's taking all their clothes to wash and iron because the clean washing has piled up a bit Blush so I have this week to get some proper sleep and try to get on top of getting the washing away.

Oodhousekeeping that sounds nasty! Hope you're feeling better.

Chefette · 03/09/2012 06:44

Good luck to all scan-nees today; I have an inkling there'll be postings galore. Off to work (I detest getting up in the dark), have a fab monday everyone Smile

PS I wrote this at 5.40-stupid phone!!

theTramp · 03/09/2012 06:45

My moans are so pathetic & small relative to everyone else's. Despite being exhausted all day yesterday sleep wasn't great last night & I'm awake early with match sticks propping my eyes open & a week of very full on work. Nnnngh.

peanutMD · 03/09/2012 07:04

Morning all, hope those with scans have fun and looking forward to hearing about your wrigglers :o

I am so tired today bit must get moving, school run then work for me... The joys eh?

zoeymlucas · 03/09/2012 07:08

manda for ur 18 week cervix scan welcome to the dildo scan club, lol! I have had 2 cervix scans already and the next is 20th as he wanted to wait till operation had settled down a bit but I am just wishing I knew more appointments as he just books the next when I see him- I like planning and to be organised not bouncing from one to the next!

Do not want to getj up for work even thought am wide awake I just feel I didn't get a weekend off really and after Fridays shitty day do not want to see most of the idiots I work with! Most of the timei love my job it's just the people around me that can drive me metal! Only working 1 1/2 days next week cos of operation so can at least look forward to 3 days in bed as DH won't let me move then!

Good luck with scans peeps I will be waiting for your posts x

Emus · 03/09/2012 08:13

Good luck to everyone having scans today, how exciting!

Zoey, I got my 12 and 20 week scan dates at the same time which was good as I've had to change my 20 week one as its on the day we are flying to Vegas for a wedding! My new scan date is 23rd Oct although an seriously considering having a reassurance scan at 16 weeks just to make sure that things are going ok.

Regarding the sex of the baby, I always thought I would want it to be a surprise but now I'm impatient and want to know and so does my partner. Grin

Right, got a very busy work day today plus house stuff so better crack in with it. Roll on our first deadline: house move.
