I find that the baby doesn't move around so much in the heat. However, I do to that all the movements are right down low, no movement is felt at the top of my bump at all, or in fact the middle.

Does anyone know what this means about the babies position?

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/08/2012 07:58

What's everyone's plans for the weekend?
We're going to fils today he's poss doing a BBQ, then tomorrow I'm taking ds to my mums for a BBQ, loving the sun!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 11/08/2012 08:09

We're at Chessington world of adventures for the weekend! Not that I can go on rides but I'm sure DS will love it. Smile

TheDetective · 11/08/2012 08:28

Plans? Work all night, sleep all day :(

Speaking of which... G'night :(

Sophiathesnowfairy · 11/08/2012 08:32

Nothing, nothing, nothing. DH might mow the lawns hoorah! I need to sort out the oven I blew up on Thursday just I case we ever exchange contracts Sad.

Lazy, quiet weekend lurvely.

Iheartpasties · 11/08/2012 08:42

I had my glucose test and it was fine! What was I stressing about??!

Chunkychicken · 11/08/2012 08:45

DH is removing the asbestos-concrete roof on the garage, ready for the roofers to start on Tues, so DD & I will be keeping well out of the way :)

horseylady · 11/08/2012 08:53

Working a split shift today. Looking at the blue cover on the pram if they've released it yet. Riding!!!

Tomorrow, getting the nursery ready to paint ( if not painted!) will prob look at boots baby event!! Having a BBQ.

Ah he has a pony sleep suit, grow bag and outside suit!! He also has some dog socks as I'm sure his first word will be woof!! Also alien and pirate vests!!! And farm bibs lol A good mixture!

ValiumQueen · 11/08/2012 09:20

pasties I guess you had the Lucozade then. I would happily have the test again if it was Lucozade.

chunky I thought you had to get special people in to deal with asbestos? Not implying DH is not special obviously Grin

Jealous of BBQs, grateful I am not at work.

Day will be spent trying to stop my kids from killing each other. I threw up this morning. Wondering if MS is returning. It did at this stage with DD2. Deep joy.

Chunkychicken · 11/08/2012 10:10

Some types of asbestos you do Valium but this type, as long as you don't use an anglegrinder or something (so it doesn't particulate) you're fine. He's got masks, cover-alls, gloves, etc and going to be hosing it down as he goes, so its ok. We asked the roofing companies & they charge an arm & a leg to do the same job, then extra to dispose of it (when DH can hire a van & take it to the local tip for free).

Oh and he is very special - kicking over DD's porridge this morning being a good example Grin

Iheartpasties · 11/08/2012 10:14

I'm in Oz VQ so I think it's a bit different here. I had a bottle of clear liquid to drink and it wasnt too bad. Last time when I had to do it it was so hot, it was summer and I felt awful nearly fainting! So this time I was glad that I didn't feel anything so massively fingers crossed for no GD for me.

The weather is awful here, gale force winds so a quiet day inside watching Olympics :)

GTbaby · 11/08/2012 10:33

Trying to get myself out of bed. Fraggle is punching the hell out of me! It's like he goes full force. Then gets tiered and just stops for a bit. Then starts again lol.

Not much planned. Brothers birthday meal out tonight. Just doing cleaning of my bedroom today. N some dusting.

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/08/2012 10:39

Sorry for those who are having to work, but chessington sounds fun! Bet it's busy there today, def going to take the kids there or Thorpe park hen they're older.

Chunkychicken · 11/08/2012 11:02

Talking to friends recently, Chessington now charges over £40 for 1 adult ticket!! And they've removed some of the bigger rides, over to Thorpe, so they can aim Chessington at under 13s. They have got some animals again apparently.

I used to love living in Manchester & being that much closer to Alton Towers. A good time to go is the very beginning of the season, in March, as its usually not as busy so you don't have to queue as long.

Iheartpasties · 11/08/2012 11:17

This baby is moving non stop today and for the first time I have seen my belly move! So exciting!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/08/2012 11:21

£40?! I wouldn't go without using one of those 2 for 1 vouchers and even those have hundreds of conditions.
I went to Thorpe park when I was younger with my parents once on an inset day and there were only about 10 other families there it was great!

Passmethecrisps · 11/08/2012 11:38

Good morning ladies,

DH is off to a local gala. Not my thing so I am home alone. Nothing planned for when he gets back but it would be nice to do something. Back to work on Monday so I should really make the most of every minute.

Much better mood than yesterday - back ache has gone and I had a great nights sleep.

Chessington sounds fun

Elizadoesdolittle · 11/08/2012 12:12

We are going to chessington in a couple of weeks, during the week though when kids are back at school so hopefully won't be too manic. We've had a busy week. Been to the beach, Leeds castle & port lympne animal park so having a quiet weekend. I'm out tonight at the southbank celebrating a friends birthday so looking forward to that. Love the sunshine, just about to get the paddling pool out.
This baby is such a wriggler, i dont remember DD moving about this much. Im hoping its not a sign of things to come once their born! DD keeps talking to bump and kissing it which is very sweet.
Have a good weekend all.

Do you think we have set the record for the fastest moving threads ever?

Chunkychicken · 11/08/2012 12:54

I said the same thing to my DH Eliza about DD not moving as much, as he said she did!! I really don't remember feeling as many flips and fidgets with her as this one (I imagine baby is doing the butterfly stroke in there at times!!) but DD came out practically able to hold her up & used to kick so much at about 8wks that she'd kick herself off her changing mat and I had to take her out of the Moses basket because she was rocking it so much, I thought it would fall off the stand. She was only about 7 or 8lb by that point too!!!

Chunkychicken · 11/08/2012 12:57

The friends said that they had one of those vouchers DH but even still, because their eldest was 6yo, it cost them something ridiculous like £75 for the day. It's a stupid amount of money for one day out to me but once in a while its prob worth it...Hmm

MissMummy1 · 11/08/2012 13:01

Just got my boots parenting welcome pack through - soo chuffed with the vouchers etc and may be converted by the free changing bag (DH is getting his way on too many things here). He's been given a surprise day off today so inbetween unpacking the rest of the house and checking the old apartment to make sure the headcase hasn't done anything stupid, I think we might need to squeeze in a wee shopping trip :-)

ValiumQueen · 11/08/2012 13:22

I would be tempted to use Tesco clubcard points for big days out like that as they are worth 4 times their face value.

I am sure you would be sensible chunky I remember my friends Dad dying of an asbestos related illness when I was a kid, so it tends to send a chill through me.

pasties I keep forgetting you are down under. I always think of Cornwall.

I remember when Chessington was just a Zoo, and Alton Towers had a 4ft fence around it with a handfull of rides. No, I do not remember the war.

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/08/2012 13:41

eliza I love port lympne, it's only about half hour drive from us and do much to see there.
