Just adding some actual information! :) I'm guessing my EDD because I don't know how long my cycle is, so this is the cautious version! I've got a DD who will be 3 in October.

Really sorry but can someone add me - can't do it on my phone. Think am due on 8th April.

Feeling sick the whole time!

Giddypants · 20/08/2012 17:34

So sorry to hear about kittykats, hope she has lots of support in RL

Teapig · 20/08/2012 18:08

Thanks for updating the date list, here's to lots of bouncing spring-time babies. Welcome to all the new ladies!

babyjames hang in there, there are lots of cases where your symptoms end in a completely normal pregnancy so try to stay positive.

I've been feeling very crampy today, hoping it's growing pains. I'm currently feeling an old mix of bloated and hungry. I made an appointment with the GP for Friday to see if the ache in my pelvis is anything to (officially) worry about.

4+6: just realised I was day ahead of myself yesterday, tomorrow is actually the 5 week mark, I'm literally wishing the tiime away!

aufaniae · 20/08/2012 18:18

ha ha, and oops! Mumsnet have changed my posting name on all my posts!

I name-changed to aufaniae when TTC as I've got RL friends on here and wanted to discuss the ins and outs (no pun intended Wink) of TTC confidentially. The aufaniae were a group of European fertility goddesses, I thought it was apt! :)

It would seem I'm not very good at this name changing stuff though! I posted on a thread which I'd started under my old name under aufaniae instead by mistake. I asked mumsnet to change it, they said they don't usually, but just this once. But it would seem they've changed my name everywhere, not just t he post I meant! Oops!

I'm going to stick with aufaniae for now, I'm used to it now and I like it! And if I was superstitious I'd say it's brought me good luck Wink

Sorry to be so confusing!!

MrsTwinks · 20/08/2012 19:35

might have accidently had a meltdown today after absent-mindedly eating cake batter. whoops. DH found it tres amusing git

My lack of drinking has been noticed (you'd think I had a problem!) by the IL's, luckily this week is alot of nights out so I can get away with a few "G&T's", and just not seeing them. I really want to hold out until 12 weeks because i want to tell my mum by a "Grandma" card on her birthday, and I want some peace whie I still can from the overbearing MIL. Actually peace in general, I'm quite a private person and she has this horrible habit of telling all and sundry about my business. I have had people coming up to me (whom I've never met) asking me about what I consider fairly private things. I want to avoid this as long as possible... infact... do I even need to tell them? Ok so they live in the same town and we have to see them every week but they wont notice right???

Anyone else having trouble keeping it quiet?

Dysgu · 20/08/2012 19:40

Wow - it is really exciting to see how many people are expecting in April-ish!

Fingers crossed for everyone who is having a tough time.

I think it is natural to worry about everything going well - and I am not sure that the worrying stops until the baby actually arrives (and then you just start worrying about them in other ways...)

Teapig · 20/08/2012 20:15

Mrs Twinks I'm having trouble keeping the pg news under my hat too. I would definitely try to hide it from MIL if she's likely to let it slip before you're ready to go public.

Think my virgin cocktails fooled friends but this weekend we have FIL and BIL to stay and pretty sure they will suspect something is up, though going to try and pretend I have vodka in my lime and soda.

I had to tell my mum at the weekend as she was practically forcing wine on me but other than my parents it's just me and DH who know, hoping to keep it that way until 12 weeks.

edinfirst · 20/08/2012 20:29

Oops, sorry aufaniae, hope I haven't let any cats out of bags by changing - you are now changed back! Also added spidermanspiderman

magictorch · 20/08/2012 20:45

Oh MrsTwinks I can sympathise with the gossipy inlaws.

After our 3rd failed fertility treatment, I was feeling very fragile and we'd popped round to ILs for a cuppa. Their neighbours were there and started grilling me on the morality of IVF, how it was God's way of saying I wasn't meant to be a mum and how it was terrible of us not to 'just adopt.'

They also knew exactly what treatment we'd had and that we'd been told donor eggs was the next step for us. I was horrified. I'm very private and although had been open with some people, they were people I'd chosen to confide in. Was very upsetting.

Love the meaning behind your name aufanie

aufaniae · 20/08/2012 21:10

No, no cats edinfirst! I was impressed with your keen observation Grin

I don't mind if my RL friends recognise me here now I'm actually pregnant.

I've told the world I'm pregnant already, I'm rubbish at keeping it secret.

And anyway, despite 5 months of trying unsuccessfully, once I actually joined a TTC thread I was pregnant in about 5 minutes (it must the power of mumsnet of course Wink) so didn't get much of an opportunity to reveal anything too interesting about me and DP TTC!

HaveALittleFaith · 20/08/2012 21:45

Hello! Can I join? I'm a bit late to the party but DC#1 is due April 26th after 32 months TTC! I am feeling shattered, pukey (throwing away gone off milk this morning provoked a rather strong reaction!) and have sore boobs. Y'know, the usual.

aufaniae · 20/08/2012 21:58

Congratukations Spidermanspiderman, fryingpantoface and HaveALittleFaith! Thanks Grin

JaquelineHyde · 20/08/2012 22:02

Well I have told my best friend so I have someone other than dh to bore to death with my symptom spotting Grin but I have also told my mil as we are at a wedding with dh's family next week and need them to understand why I'm not drinking or probably hanging around until stupid o'clock partying (because I am blardy knackered)

However, I am sure my Mum knows something!!! There is realistically no possible way she could know but I just get this feeling. Let me give you the evidence and then you can decide...

a) she rang yesterday for a chat all nice and normal but then half way through the conversation started asking how I was, was I feeling ok? I answered that everything was good etc etc but she lingered a little longer than need be for a different answer.

b) We went to visit today and on 2 seperate occassions I caught her looking at my stomach.

c) After about an hour of being there and discussing family stuff (that has been rather depressing of late) she suddenly asked me if we had any good news to share to make everyone feel better.

d) She asked DH how his weigh loss was going but didn't once mention it to me which is something she has asked me everytime I have seen her for at least the past year.

So am I being paranoid just because I have a secret or dies she know?

JaquelineHyde · 20/08/2012 22:03

Oh and my boobs have cranked up the pain today!!!

bunnygirl80 · 20/08/2012 22:07

mumtowombat I'm in Sydney, and the last I heard they're predicting a scorcher of a summer for the east coast. Am really not looking forwards to being heavily pregnant in 40degree heat and Sydney humidity

babyjames fingers crossed for your scan

Congratulations havealittlefaith

My nausea seems to be easing off slightly, of course instead of celebrating I'm worrying it's a bad sign. It has been replaced with mega mega bloating though, I look about 6 months pg already!

aufaniae · 20/08/2012 22:16

babyjames keeping fingers crossed for you xx

aufaniae · 20/08/2012 22:19

JaquelineHyde I reckon she knows Grin

"she suddenly asked me if we had any good news to share to make everyone feel better."

That in particular sounds very suspect to me! Is it something she'd usually say?

HaveALittleFaith · 20/08/2012 22:28

Jacqueline my Mum had a 6th sense about these things!

Thanks for the congratulations, we only found out Wednesday so it hasn't sunk in yet! We've told my Dad and sister, his Dad and sisters and Nan (my Mum is sadly no longer with us and he doesn't see his Mum) and my best friend. She's been there for me through all the TTC/fertility issues so we agreed she should know. Her reaction was ace! :)

spidermanspiderman · 20/08/2012 22:34

Thank you edinfirst for adding me, just can't do it on phone. This will be dc3! And my boobs are growing - yippee! So I do have 1 good side effect.

CamelKnees · 20/08/2012 22:37

FAITHY hellllooooooooooooooooo!

Check us out hanging out in here all knocked up an' that!

CamelKnees · 20/08/2012 22:38

Ps jacqueline she totally knows!!

Dysgu · 20/08/2012 22:54

yes jacqueline it sounds like she knows!

I am considering telling my mum and dad when we see them on Thursday. I have to go to the doctor so I am hoping she will have 2DDs and then I thought I might tell her and dad when he gets in from work - will have to wait until DP gets there after work.

Hopefully it will go better than when we announced we were expecting DC1 - my dad got up and walked out! He headed off to work (was on a split shift) but I think he just needed time to get his head around it. Tbh I think he needed to get used to the idea that we were doing it in the 'wrong' order i.e. we weren't (still aren't) married and Dparents are very traditional (although getting much better at dealing with our life choices with each DC Grin )

And I have just spent a happy hour looking at travel systems on ebay! (although we have a perfectly good P&T upstairs...)
