jessiethecowgirl i know what you mean with regards to the internet cheapies - I have tried using mine again after getting a BFP on a clearblue digi - there are still two lines on the cheapies but the second one is very faint whereas I thought it would be really clear. I figure the digital one is the way to go - although am going to buy another digital one today just to be REALLY sure!
ZoeRowe I have not seen my doctor yet and that is the first step to seeing the midwife (going on past experience with previous pregnancies).
My doctor is on holiday so I have an appointment with her for when she gets back - so that is on September 4th! I think I will be 6+6 then.
But I also made an appointment with one of the other doctors at the health centre for this Thursday just so that he can set everything in order and add me to the list for the midwife! If I remember correctly, it takes a couple of weeks to get a booking in appointment with the midwife and, whilst I always expect them to jump up an down with excitement, the whole thing is actually very mundane and ordinary for them and they don't seem to be as over-the-moon as we are!
I need to see my own doctor so that we can discuss whether I will have consultant care or can stay with the midwife. I will argue that I should stay with the midwife and the doctor will probably refer me to the consultant; I am not sure what the consultant will say this time but last time she said I could stay with the midwife.
Both DDs turned up early (and quick!) but they have never found a reason so I am not sure what a consultant could do.
Symptoms - still hot and tired, needing to wee a lot more than usual and not sleeping. However, all of those things could easily be down to the heat. No morning sickness yet - I am a teacher so it will probably kick in as soon as I go back to school!
