Magic please try not to worry (hopeless I know), put your feet up and relax all day. Book tomorrow off work and contact the epu. Lots of positive vibes coming your way.

Essex I hope the scan goes well, looking forward to your next post telling us all about it.

I feel very achey, a bit sicky and damn tired today. All of this is not helped by the fact that I have the most God awful tooth ache. I also have really, really bad heartburn, the type that makes you feel like throwing up it's so bad.

All in all it's a shite day but I still feel like the luckiest person alive Grin

Hi ladies

This is my first time on Mumsnet and wondered if i could join your very buisy thread? I found out i am pregnant with my second a few days ago, i already have a DS who is 17 months old. I think im 4+0 but not sure as my periods have been abit crazy the last few months. I had a MC last november at 7+3 so feeling abit unsure and worried but i'm a big beliver in things happen for a reason and possitive thinking!! I cant wait to reach 12 weeks Smile only 8 weeks to go...tick tock...tick tock...

4+0

Teapig · 19/08/2012 14:08

Congrats Zoe and welcome. I had an mc in November last year as well so know how you feel. This is a different pregnancy though and like you I'm thinking positive, though worrying myself silly at the same time.

Ladies with early scans, how early can you go? I have a niggling ache to the right of my abdomen, it comes an goes but walking and carrying seem to bring it on. Today it's stronger so thinking I might need a scan to check whether it's ectoptic. Desperately hoping it's nothing but not sure I can hold on without an early scan.

steph2412 · 19/08/2012 14:23

hi i have read pain in your right side is not normally a concern as they believe you have more stretching pains to the right at the start of the pregnancy. i am nearly 6 weeks and worrying myself silly as i had a mc in june and really considering an early scan.

leluella · 19/08/2012 14:40

Hi, can I join this group? I think my due date is 10th April so am 6 ish weeks. Interested in hearing what symptoms you all have and when the sickness starts. So far my boobs are sore on and off and light back cramps come and go quite regularly but no sickness...not looking forward to when that starts!

clairebec · 19/08/2012 14:55

Hi everyone, Can I join? I am now 4 +1 and found out a few days ago. Feeling fine so far but I did with my other 2. This will be our third and last child - if everything goes well, so really wanting to enjoy every moment. I am in the worry phase though, as are most of you at this stage!! It looks like we are due 27th April, exactly a week before my youngest turns 3, praying this one doesn't make an appearance on his birthday Wink

Cadmum · 19/08/2012 14:56

Saving my place... 7+1 edd April 6. Stay in bed tomorrow mum-to-be with spotting and avoid google at all costs!

Teapig · 19/08/2012 15:14

Thanks Steph, I've also read this kind of pain can be ligaments stretching or just a harmless cyst but can't help worrying it could be a symptom of an ectopic. I said the pain was in my abdomen but actually it's lower than that, about where I think my right ovary is. Going to see how it goes and go to GP if it continues.

Welcome on board Clairebec, big Congrats.

JaquelineHyde · 19/08/2012 15:18

Hello, welcome and congratulations to all the new comers Grin Settle in and enjoy the next 9ish months with us all.

sugarfiend · 19/08/2012 15:32

Welcome to all the new ladies Smile

leluella I'm sympton spying too - I'm due later in the April (20th) and it's interesting to see what I mgiht have in store!

Babyjames Hope your spotting is easing off, you had fun at the weeding and you're feeling a little more positive. Have you rescheduled your apt?

Teapig could you give your GP a call in the morning? I went to the docs to let them know earlier this week and asked who I should call at this stage if there was anything I was worried about and he said first port of call would be them and that it's better to call than worry.

I think the worrying is natural, I'm flitting between excitment and worrying about:

symptoms, lack of symptoms, if xyz is normal, when to tell people, how and when to tell work (I swear some of the girls are already on to me and I really don't want them to know until after the 12 week scan - everyone will be nice about it but I know I'll feel guilty as it's a small company and I'm not sure how they'll cover for maternity), what to eat, what not to eat, how much to eat .... and breath! Wink

Most of the time I'm just trying not to get too excited too early.

I hope no one is worrying too much!

5+1

(I also like the listing of the weeks at the end - I got totally confused earlier in the week trying to figure out where I was in relation to others)

threeleftfeet · 19/08/2012 15:35

Congratulations and welcome ZoeRowe, leluella, clairbec and cadmum! Thanks all round!

leluella you may well not get sickness at all. Fingers crossed!!

Breesy · 19/08/2012 15:37

Hi everyone and congratulations. It's lovely to find a big group like this. I think I'm five weeks tomorrow, found out a couple of days ago on my birthday! Think my due date is 22nd April if I've calculated right.

It still doesn't feel real but I am starting to feel a bit tired and my boobs feel a bit weird today. Bit of queasiness bit nothing major so far. I'm also quite short of breath if I get hot and try to do things, and lots of period type pain.

As well as the obvious worry of mc, I'm swinging wildly between anxiety about sickness and being able to work and worry about not having any sickness and there being something wrong! I'm off on holiday for a long weekend in two weeks and I'm praying I'm ok to go and I'm not too exhausted or sick. There's so much to worry about isn't there??? Smile

I have my first doctors appointment this week so hopefully I'll feel more settled after that, it's good to know there are others out there at the same stage. It's so hard when you can't tell everyone!!

EssexWelsh · 19/08/2012 16:05

Yea, scan went well, saw baby, saw heartbeat and my dates make me 4 days further along, so now have EDD 7th April (2 days after my 30th non birthday Wink). They saw a small bleed, which for someone who has had bleeding looks normal and small enough that should be reabsorbed into body, properly caused at implantation.

Very happy, so ladies spotting, it is looking good for me, so fx for you all Grin

7+0!!

edinfirst · 19/08/2012 16:11

Fantastic Essex have been waiting to see how you got on. So pleased things are looking good Grin

Teapig · 19/08/2012 16:22

Great news Essex, you must be so relieved. Really pleased everything is looking good Grin

leluella · 19/08/2012 16:32

Thanks for the welcome, so glad I found this is group...this is my first so I'm a bit clueless about what's happening and what I should or shouldn't be doing! It's great to hear what everyone else is experiencing and having somewhere to chat about it as its hard having to keep quiet and not be able to discuss with friends

magictorch · 19/08/2012 17:50

Brilliant news Essex and welcome to all the newbies.

I'm feeling a little less panicked than I was this morning. Light cramps, no more brown stuff but also boobs not tender and no nausea, which considering I felt horribly sick yesterday feels a little strange. Hmmm. Am trying not to worry!

Dysgu · 19/08/2012 18:26

I have hardly any symptoms apart from an occasional tenderness in my boobs and feeling hot and tired (although the hot and tired could equally be from this weather - I spent most of the day in the shade in the garden reading a book).

I am glad to see that other people are worrying - not because I want you to worry but because it reminds me that there are others going through the same things as me.

This is my third but each time seems all brand new again and there is so much to consider.

When are people planning on telling in rl?

Also, do people book in for an early scan or is that only when there seems to be something amiss?

4+4 (I think)

CamelKnees · 19/08/2012 18:36

Hi to the new ladies

essex have been watching out for your post....woohoo....such great news!!!

Have figured out that nausea and dizziness has hit everyday at lunchtime for the past three days. Feeling v grateful that a) I've got 2 weeks off work and b) DD still sleeps at lunchtime!

4+6 (super excited to be 5 weeks tmw, feels like my very first milestone)

miarosemum · 19/08/2012 18:58

Congrats Essex fab news!! Smile

Breesy · 19/08/2012 19:47

Great news essex Smile

camel I think if I've worked my days out right I'm five weeks tomorrow too, feels very strange seeing as a I only got my bfp last Wednesday!

dysgu my symptoms sound similar to yours, lots of hot flushes! We're not planning on telling anyone apart from close family (and my yoga teacher) until 12 weeks. I'd rather wait longer for family too but I live 70 miles away from them and it just so happens I'd already planned a visit next weekend, so seems like a perfect time Smile, and if the worst did happen (touch wood it won't) then we'd be comfortable with them knowing.

4+6

FactOfTheMatter · 19/08/2012 20:12

hello ladies - i've had a very early bfp, so i'm being a bit tentative about joining in! But if my dates are correct then my EDD would be sometime at the end of April. I've had very few symptoms so far though - and the 'insomnia' could easily be put down to the heat!

LikeCandy · 19/08/2012 20:23

Soooo many April babies, how exciting!
Welcome new-mums-to-be!
Very pleased for you Essex, I bet it's reassuring to have an explanation!

I'm in full throws of all-day-nausea and heartburn. I'm not managing to eat a lot, everything tastes acidic!
I think my boobs look bigger?! Wishful thinking?!
I'm still spotting - but Im trying not to worry. Painful belly too - but figuring that's probably to do with endometriosis scars stretching, oh and wind!

7+0 (u/s guess) 7+1 (by lmp!)

Dandelion75 · 19/08/2012 20:25

Thanks for all the congrats ladies, and congrats to you too essex Smile

Sending you lots of good thoughts magic - fx for you x

dysgu - we had a scan at 6+4 as it comes with the IVF package we paid for. You can see enough to be reassured - eg a little sac and a flickering heartbeat. It's certainly very reassuring. I think the NHS will only scan you early if there is a potential problem.

We are not planning to tell anyone yet (except my osteopath), although cant go on much longer. On progesterone pessaries until 9 weeks which are making me ridiculously bloated. At 5+3 someone offered me the pregnant lady seat on the tube, and yesterday a woman in a cafe asked DP when our baby was due Blush. Had to order maternity trousers today online as none of mine will fasten, but going up a size didn't seem to fit right either.

Going on hols with whole of my extended family at 10+5 so think will tell them at the airport Grin Won't be seeing them before then and don't want to do it by phone.

Teapig · 19/08/2012 20:51

Breesy and Camel if my dates are right I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow too. Very excited about starting a new week, I'm counting down the days at the moment.

4+6, so nearly 5!
