babyjames try not to worry - I've been spotting for over a week now, the Doctor said not to worry unless you are 'filling a pad in an hour'
I know it's hard, and I am still worried myself, but you can always call midwife / local pregnancy unit for support, even go to a&e if you are desperate!
Take it easy, make sure you remember to eat and drink!

wishfulthinking1 · 17/08/2012 17:44

essex - I think go, sounds like you don't get to see them often. Can you drive so have an automatic reason for not drinking. You don't have to stay long, but I say go! And have fun!!

babyjames - try not to panic, is it heavy? Take heart from all the positive stories of ladies that spotted but had perfectly fine pregnancies. Fx for you xx

babyjames · 17/08/2012 18:59

Got a primary care appointment at7.20 :( feel sick. Bleeding like start of period when spotting and browny pink :( never had with my first.

LikeCandy · 17/08/2012 19:18

Good luck - I'll keep fingers crossed for you xx

CamelKnees · 17/08/2012 20:15

Oh babyjames will be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope all is ok

essex currently thinking exact same thing about a night out next weekend. Need to come up with a reason as to why I HAVE to drive

Flosshilde · 17/08/2012 20:28

Just marking place to catch up with thread as it had fallen off my Threads I'm On.

Feeling soooooooo tired today it is untrue.

I have said this before upthread but for those of you spotting, I bled quite a bit in my first trimester with DS. I had an early scan at 9 weeks as a result. All was fine in the scan and thereafter. However, as a consequence when I bled at 33 weeks I ignored it, which I shouldn't have done as it was my show and DS was born 48 hours later...

Lola06 · 17/08/2012 20:33

babyjames keeping my fingers crossed for you that the scan shows all is fine x

Giddypants · 17/08/2012 20:50

Hope your ok babyjames try not to worry.
My nausea has totally subsided, it did this last week then came back with a vengeance! Still so tired DH has taken DS out yesterday and today when he got home from work so I can have a rest, god I love him x
Starting with a bit of acid reflux lately, I didn't get this til quite late on last time and was sipping gaviscon every 5 mins!
Hope everyone is having a nice night

LuckyOwl28 · 17/08/2012 21:00

Hi everyone!

I will find out more specific dates on Thurs at the Docs but on our calculations we're due 1st April.

Our first baby, we are just over the moon. Hard to tie down my hubby as he's in the forces but we managed it somehow!

Just praying everything goes well, I'm getting so impatient for the 12 week scan! x

magictorch · 17/08/2012 21:09

Goodness, this thread moves fast! My symptoms seem to be easing off. Not quite so queasy, boobs not quite so sore, even not as tied as I was. Hoping nothing to worry about.

Babyjames good luck

Welcome and congrats LuckyOwl

Hope everyone's feeling Ok!

JaquelineHyde · 17/08/2012 21:25

Evening ladies sorry so many of you are feeling crappy and sick. Hopefully it will be a symptom that leaves us all by 12 weeks and doesn't carry on for 9 months like some poor sods have!

I can only echo what others have said about spotting, it is a very natural part of pregnancy for some women and should only be a real concern if it becomes heavy or painful. However, always have it checked out it it is something you are worried about.

I am still utterly exhausted and I'm only 5 weeks today (I think) so God knows how much worse this will get. I suspect it is more to do with age as I don't remember it being this bad before Grin

I'm just counting down to 12 weeks at the moment and wishing I hadn't found out so early on.

Dandelion75 · 17/08/2012 21:41

Fx for you babyjames and hope you are ok - keep hearing how loads of women get a bit of bleeding and all is fine, but I'm sure that doesn't make it any less stressful when it's happening to you x

Hello and congrats luckyowl!

Big news from me is .......... Today was scan day! My heart was in my mouth and I almost couldn't look at the screen, but there it was - a tiny flickering heartbeat in a little sac. Shock DP and I both spotted it even before the consultant had said anything. Talk about a massive relief! Only one baby in there (we had 2 embryos put in thru ivf) but not dissappointed in the slightest - just massively relieved that all seems to be well. Doc confirmed I am 6+4 today, and due date is 6th April. Eek!

After 4 years of TTC, I have a scan photo in my hand. Blown away Grin Grin x

Flosshilde · 17/08/2012 21:45

Congratulations Dandelion! You must be so happy, and rightly so.

I've got bloody heartburn now as well. I loathe pregnancy.

LuckyOwl28 · 17/08/2012 21:51

Hope everything goes well babyjames. Thanks

I was only saying last week that I wish I had more symptons so that i'd actually 'feel' pregnant. Well they do say be careful what you wish for! Fainted several times Mon and Tues and have felt violently sick since. Oh the joys! Now that I've scoffed several Haribo cola bottles I do feel better and I think i'm glad its starting. Don't ask me tomorrow morning though!

Literally cant wait for the 12 wek scan, got goosebumps reading your post Dandelion!

EssexWelsh · 17/08/2012 22:06

Lovely message Dandelion-happy for you!

CamelKnees · 17/08/2012 22:26

Dandilion that's such great news! Your post has really put a smile on my face

LoobyLou33 · 17/08/2012 22:31

Hi folks...I too am an April due date, around 18th April 2013 (didn't write my dates down properly so not quite sure when AF was!) Looks like there are lots of us... July's obviously been a busy month ;-)

Is it getting too busy on this thread...is it worth starting a "due latter half of April" thread or just join in the fray? I remember last time it was difficult to keep up as it moved so fast, but now I have DS1 and not working full time perhaps it will be easier...

I wanted to post as it's so hard not telling many people and I think DH is getting bored of me listing my symptoms as they kick in one by one... Pregnancy is SO WEIRD, isn't it!! Why on earth can I suddenly smell garlic on everything?!

threeleftfeet · 17/08/2012 22:40

That's strange, i had a day when i could smell garlic really strongly.

I smelt it in three totally different places so I thought it might be something weird and pregnancy related.

It's gone now though.

DeekeyDoo · 17/08/2012 23:22

Babyjames - keeping everything crossed for you xxx

Dandelion - sooo pleased for you :)) xxx

ratbagcatbag · 18/08/2012 07:36

I like our big group but I know people are commenting how fast it's moving in here. So I helpfully sit on the fench, however would miss half the group now being an early April dd.

spidermanspiderman · 18/08/2012 08:47

Fx babyjames

Congratulations dandelion

My wind problem is still here and my stomach hurts for large portions of the day because of it.

Think I may have let cat out of bag, or at least left a lot of clues whilst at a family meal out last night - whoops. Can only blame the fact that my baby brain must of kicked in!

We are meant to be taking the dcs skiing in February next year. Dd will have just turned 3 so can go into ski school. My dh still thinks we can go and I can just watch!

timetomoveon · 18/08/2012 08:52

fx babyjames

Great news dandelion.

I'm now 6+3 today. Feel increasingly terrible and am dry heaving every time I move, more or less. No actual vomit. It's amazing how much you block out from last time. Every time I mention something, dh says 'you were like this last time' and yet I've forgotten. Last time the nausea and sickness went on til 16 weeks and the thought of 10 more weeks like this is hideous.

toobreathless · 18/08/2012 09:01

Dandelion :) :) :)

I quite like our big group, I don't think it's unusually big, March have 70 ladies on their stats thread! It's likely to settle down as we all get to know each other & initial excitement wears off.

Tired here, DH has taken DD for the morning :)

CamelKnees · 18/08/2012 09:55

Snap re liking the big group. Also like being able to spy Wink on the early April ladies so I know what's coming for me in another 2-3 weeks!

Have had a little bit of brown spotting this morning. Sad. Really hoping its nothing. Unless turns to full bleeding don't think I'll contact GP as am only 4+5 so assume they won't be that interested as would just class as a chemical pregnancy. Urgh. I hate early pregnancy.
