DeekeyDoo · 16/08/2012 22:56

sugar I think I'll be 7 or 7 +1 tho not sure until I have scan as I o listed late. By my lmp date I will be 9 +1.

bunny I think you are spot on! We'll probably be on here complaining about how sick we feel in a couple of weeks!

DeekeyDoo · 16/08/2012 22:58
  • ovulated not o listed ! Sorry , on my phone
DeekeyDoo · 16/08/2012 23:03

Ooops and I meant lola ! Think it's time I went to bed!

Lola06 · 16/08/2012 23:05

Lol at least we can use the baby brain excuse!

sugarfiend · 16/08/2012 23:08

Yes - good point, thanks guys.

I'll just try and enjoy it while it lasts! The nausea really can't be fun and it must be a nightmare to hide from work.
bunny I hope it eases off for you soon

threeleftfeet · 17/08/2012 00:44

DeekeyDoo an Lola06 please don't feel paranoid about not feeling sick!

I don't feel sick in the slightest, but I haven't mentioned it before as I thought it would be mean to go on about it when so any people are suffering! (I didn't get it last time either).

I'd bet good money there are many others here also not mentioning their lack of nausea - I read somewhere that only about half of pregnant women get morning sickness.

i got loads of symptoms at the end - heartburn, spd etc, so I won't get off scot free I would think - I expect that again this time!

If you're not feeling sick, enjoy!! :)

ratbagcatbag · 17/08/2012 06:02

Hi sugarfiend, no worries about sharing motivation, I just wouldn't bank
On me finding any. I agree with you totally about feeling clueless, I thought I knew loads but apparently not lol

Hope everyone is ok this morning :)

Pontouf · 17/08/2012 09:04

Oh God, oh God, oh God......... Feel so sick. Any time I drink anything I throw up. Was exactly like this with DS1. Why do my babies hate me?

Huge sympathies to everyone else feeling rough. Have had to call in sick to work today, feel so guilty, I know it will have caused terrible staffing problems, but am neither use nor ornament today.

Please, those who don't feel sick - enjoy it!!!

Lola06 · 17/08/2012 10:31

Don't get me wrong I love not being sick and totally feel for all you ladies suffering at the moment but as this is dc1 I'm totally paranoid. Would have expected at least one symptom, hence the early scan to check on things.

We may have jinxed ourselves with the no sickness posts and it'll come full force in a week or so Confused

ratbagcatbag · 17/08/2012 11:04

Thinks I'm just going to shoot myself.

I'm now worried as sickness eased off and not quite as tired even though I am a bit and my boobs arent as tender so worried something's happened. God I'll be happy when I get my scan date around mid sept hopefully. The stress is so bad :)

I've decided not to have an early scan, I've had no bleeding and I've read an internal one can make you bleed a little I think I'll just leave alone.

angeltattoo · 17/08/2012 11:36

Right, i've finally caught up!

Hello to everyone

donkey, i have no sickness either, my only symptoms are increased sense of smell and that's it!

I was worried too, but my can puts my dates back a bit so I may get some more symptoms later on.

5 + 3 for me today Smile am going to book a scan for 2 weeks time, hopefully will see a lot more on it.

EssexWelsh · 17/08/2012 11:52

Well I survived the wedding yesterday, no nausea at all, no one suspected wasn't drinking and I stayed til the end. Today however woke up with my DP using cocoa butter moisturiser and the smell made me bolt for the toilet Sad. Now back in bed, still feeling rough, so thankful it's today not yesterday, baba obviously loves to party!

DP now off to Ibiza for a stag do, so my parents are heading up to accompany me to scan on Sunday, thoughtful and true was nervous going by myself in case of any bad news, but was planning a weekend of bad tv and bad food on the sofa for 4 days!!!

MrsTwinks · 17/08/2012 12:20

Essex, sorry your feeling awful but bright side... Everyone will assume you're hungover

edinfirst · 17/08/2012 12:27

ratbag I am so pleased you said that. I woke up with basically no symptoms this morning, after a week or two of really sore boobs and extreme tiredness. I also managed to convince myself that I just didn't feel pregnant anymore and 'knew' that something bad had happened. I am feeling a bit calmer now and trying just to enjoy a day of feeling 'normal'. Even as I write this I see that it sounds a bit silly but I was SCARED there for a while-makes me realise how much I want this. Trying to stay away from scary Internet sites that make you fear the worst, so might be on here quite a lot today.

At least it's nearly the weekend-hope you've all got nice plans (the 4days of crap telly sounds pretty good about now, it's rock and roll this pregnancy malarky! Smile)

edinfirst · 17/08/2012 12:29

P.s. Obviously meant to say ratbag that FX this is just another stage and all goes well for us (and everyone!)

ratbagcatbag · 17/08/2012 12:39

Agree to keeping off websites for a while :) I think it's my body just getting used to everything and que sera sets I can't change anything.

I bet no one on here is doing the same as me this weekend. I'm going to a dog wedding. :)

SneezySnatcher · 17/08/2012 12:56

Well I had to drive with a bowl on the passenger seat - glamorous. I feel dreadful.

I'm actually slightly worried today. Found out my lovely DNephew has just got chicken pox. He spends a lot of time here and with DD. I'm concerned DD may get it and if she does I don't know what (if anything) I need to do. I've had it before when I was very small so I'm hoping this means I won't get it and hopefully DD won't either.

angeltattoo · 17/08/2012 13:53

Am very jealous Envy of a dog wedding!

BonaDea · 17/08/2012 13:58

What exactly is a dog wedding?!

My spotting didn't return yesterday, and have had just a tiny hint of pink again when I wipe (sorry, TMI). Went to GP and have been booked in for another scan on Monday, at which point I'll be 7 weeks exactly. No pain or cramping or anything.

I am hoping that it was actually the internal scan that has caused this bleeding rather than anything more sinister, although that in turn makes me wonder how much reassurance Monday will bring. Even if everything looks ok does that mean I'll start spotting again afterwards?

Am being inexorably drawn to the scary websites, but trying to resist imagining the the worse. Have not had any symptoms as such at all anyway, so it is driving me crazy not knowing anything until Monday. Sad

CamelKnees · 17/08/2012 14:01

Sneezy it might be worth calling either GP or midwife team re chicken pox and just letting them know you've potentially been exposed. I understand that unlike slapped cheek (which my DD had last week) they can actually take positive action with CP. so I think they can check your immunity but also think they can give you anti-virals if you're not immune.

ratbagcatbag · 17/08/2012 14:23

A dog wedding is, well two dogs getting married. It's even going to be in Take A Break who are covering it exclusively. :)

It's in aid of a charity called Nowzad that brings dogs and cats back from Afghanistan when soldiers rescue them, we do a fund raiser every year, do this year two of the dogs Brin and Kilo have been having a Facebook romance so we decided this year that would be the fundraiser. Best wedding ever, can go in jeans and trainers :)

Agree re spotting Bonadea, that's why I've not gone for an early scan and my doc defo said normal. Keeping fx for you xx

wishfulthinking1 · 17/08/2012 17:11

I'm still boggled about the dog wedding!!
Right girls- I'm packed and signing out for the honeymoon! I'm 6+5 now and I'll be 8+1 when I'm back- fx everything is ok!

Good luck to those with appointments and scans whilst I'm away, and a great big good luck to you all.
See you soon!!!
X

EssexWelsh · 17/08/2012 17:18

Enjoy wishful.

Need help with tonight, meant to be having a girly night in with girls from school, on other side of London, none know and not ready to tell as DP currently on stag do with some of their partners and doesn't want to share yet. So feeling pretty rubbish, could potentially feel better by going and being distracted but should I go and risk feeling crap and coming across grumpy or just not go, which will also cause a feeling of me not making the effort when the majority have come up from Wales?? Can't be arsed but feel obliged...

babyjames · 17/08/2012 17:21

Am spotting now :(

EssexWelsh · 17/08/2012 17:25

How bad babyjames feel free to share tmi as I and others have been through this and now looking much brighter!
