Congrats to new joiners on your BFPs and to all those who have had scans.

Still no symptoms for me, which is the same as last time and that ended in an mc at 11 weeks so I'm desperate for symptoms. The only thing is I seem to get out of breath quickly, anyone else have that? I'm not one to excercise but I don't usually get as puffed out as I am after going up stairs. I'll take it as symptom Grin

bunnygirl80 · 15/08/2012 21:47

camel my DS got slapped cheek the month before I got my bfp. I think it's often one of those things that's so mild people don't bother with the doctors for it. We were advised to stop ttc for the month, although it was a day after I'd ovd so a bit too late. Didn't get pg that month though, so no major worries in the end. I was also told that the vast majority of people are immune so there's very little chance of you/baby getting it

Congrats zeebee. Did you get one or two embryos put back?

Am Shock by all the extra horny ladies on here. I think all the jiggling involved with sex would just make me vomit!

CamelKnees · 15/08/2012 21:47

Actually I've just bought this for days when I need to be a bit more dressed up at work and it does an amazing job of hiding my fat bits

CamelKnees · 15/08/2012 21:49

Hope so bunnygirl

teapig I've been out of breath! I think it must be a bona fide symptom! either that or I'm getting VERy VERY old

Dandelion75 · 15/08/2012 22:07

Hi zeebee - congrats on your BFP! I'm 6+2 after second ivf cycle too, although luckily not had to experience a mc like you. Sounds like a terrible ordeal. Have you had one or two embies? I had 2, and have a scan on Fri at 6+5 where will see how many are in there and how they are doing. Excited but terrified too - its taken 4 years to get this far....! Hope you are doing well, and i look forward to hearing great news from your scan Smile

camelknees - fab dress. I barely fit any of my clothes at the moment due to the added bloat from ivf meds. Someone offered me the pregnant lady seat on the tube last week, when I was only 5+3! I'm going to have to do some shopping at the weekend - work clothes and bras a priority!

spidermanspiderman · 15/08/2012 22:08

I get out of breath at the moment too - definitely a symptom!

sugarfiend · 15/08/2012 22:16

Wow this thread does move quickly.

Thanks for the welcome aufanie Smile

I'm a student too - well sort of - I've been doing a distance learning MA while working full time - not entirely sure how I'll keep the lot up! Might have to re-think the plan a little.

I'm useless at keeping track of names, but thank you to whoever posted the list of herbs you should avoid too - I feel like I don't know anything that I thought I did at the moment.

Does anyone have any tips for relieving/avoiding the bloating?

threeleftfeet · 15/08/2012 23:21

Hey MrsTwinks lovely place to live!

JaquelineHyde · 15/08/2012 23:30

aufaniae yes I am still on the south coast, moving soon but just along the coast a bit further to Eastbourne.

Is your course at the UCH campus? That's where my original degree was based, or are you based at Falmer/Brighton?

Today I have done nothing but feel exhausted and boiling hot! Not sure this is at all pg related as it has been bloody humid here today. However, I have also been feeling very out of breath and had to catch my breath a few times when talking to a friend today. So it must be a symptom Grin

Teapig · 15/08/2012 23:37

Thanks ladies for confirming breathlessness to be a symptom, I'm feeling so totally normally it puts my mind at rest a little to have a symptom.

Now I just need to get through the next four days of parties and family dos without being rumbled for not drinking...

Teapig · 15/08/2012 23:39

Camel I love that dress!

threeleftfeet · 16/08/2012 00:47

Jaqueline you're not too far from us! I've sent you a PM.

I study at Brighton. Great nursery at the uni too. DS says I go to "uni-nursery" Grin

threeleftfeet · 16/08/2012 00:50

ratbagcatbag I like your Facebook group idea. I wouldn't use it instead of coming here - I like it here :) and I imagine some people might not like the idea of outing themselves so not everyone would use it, but even so, I think it would be really nice to have a FB groups of us mums all with DCs the same age.

threeleftfeet · 16/08/2012 00:51

Congratulations zeebee1 Grin Grin

CamelKnees · 16/08/2012 06:44

teapig re secret not drinking - I tried many many tactics when PG with DD and the only one that worked was not telling anyone u wasn't drinking. Always ordering/accepting red wine with DH then swapping glasses and making him drink it all! Good luck!

ratbagcatbag · 16/08/2012 07:28

Morning lovely ladies.

I walked up a flight of stairs today and was so breathless it was stupid, ok so I'm overweight but I climbed Snowdon six weeks ago and did a four four zumbathon the other weekend so I know I'm
Not that unfit :)

It's not so much of feeling terribly sick now, just a quesy feeling that lasts all day. Grrrrrr. Oh and still the tiredness, having about nine hours sleep, but still knackered.

babyjames · 16/08/2012 07:36

ou camel that dress is lush :) Im around a 10/12 and was looking at spending maximum of £60 maybe a blueey colour as I have blue bag now! Also has to arrive on next day delivery now!!!

Could do without work today as feeling crampy, emotional and shattered!

jessiethecowgirl · 16/08/2012 07:43

morning everyone, and thanks for the welcome! Can't believe its only been 24 hours since I got my BFP.. this is going to be a long 8 weeks until the 12 week scan!!

Thanks for posting the herb list!

I am also a massive wind machine, same as last time, and find things like running up the stairs really knocks me for one. omg well done those that are frisky! I'm the same as a few others that after ovulation I just have no desire! DH and I also agreed to not have sex over the next few weeks because of how I Mc'd last month, I started bleeding right after having sex around 5-6 weeks. I don't know if the two are related, but just being safe...

congrats to those with new BFPs!

sugarfiend · 16/08/2012 08:32

Teapig his might not help with the parties, as I haven't tried it outside of home yet. But my partners parents stayed with us at the weekend and I manage to completely avoid drinking wine at any point by drinking Ribena out of a wine glass! I usually do drink rose (they had rose and red wine) and they didn't suspect a thing.

If you're at the bar alone I'm sure u could convince someone to give you j20 or similar in a wine glass...

ratbagcatbag · 16/08/2012 08:56

Argh. I'm so worried about miscarrying and I have no idea why, I nee to stop reading google :( is it worth me booking a private scan, I'm 7+3, would anything show up at this age an how do you even book a private scan and what happens at it? Help :) having a panicked moment.

LikeCandy · 16/08/2012 11:03

Hi ratbag - a quick google search should bring up local private early u/s. It's unlikely to be NHS, although if you have any risk factors (pain/bleeding/history of m/c etc) the EPU should scan you / take bloods.
Looking at clinics near me they seem to be ~£100, but some places advertise from £40.
This website as an idea of what you're likely to see dependent on how far along you are Linky
I know how you're feeling [hug] if only our bellies were transparent, actually, eww...

Essex - I think it was you who mentioned Nature Valley ginger crunch bars, omg they're like eating spicy mdf, but seem to do the trick! (also, they're half price in sainsburys!) Thanks!

CamelKnees · 16/08/2012 11:48

Ok babyjames am supposed to be cleaning but this is more fun. Some possibilities - somewhat limited by next day delivery options!!

my Fave!

looks like will be v flattering

a bit wintry but the weather is shite

an acquired taste I admit but will hide a little tum
a bit more summery and on sale!

a bit pricier but very pretty

again a bit over budget but looks like it would hide a multitude of sins and fit you for ages yet

Right I really must get some jobs done now although could happily lie here all day surfing for dresses

All, sorry to bring the mood down, but... I've just been to the loo and had pink blood when I wiped, including a little clot. After having a scan on Tuesday, I can't believe this is now happening! I don't have any pain or other symptoms.

Called NHS direct who said to contact my GP. Can't get through the GP office but will keep trying.

Any suggestions?

ratbagcatbag · 16/08/2012 11:57

Hugs Bonadea, my gp told me it was perfectly fine to get a little bleeding during pregnancy especially in the first 12 weeks. Hoping so much this is the case for you.
Keep calling gp until you get through FX xx
