Oh sorry that's a bit confusing!

The list i posted above is not the full list.

But if you follow the link you'll get a much longer list.

threeleftfeet · 15/08/2012 10:54

And the spaces have disappeared! Should have previewed!

I hope it's legible.

JaquelineHyde · 15/08/2012 10:57

My original degree was a joint BA honours with Brighton in Education and English Literature but my Masters is in Social Work with Sussex University.

I will see how I feel towards the end of the first year but I may defer my second year for a year but we shall see.

threeleftfeet · 15/08/2012 11:03

There are lots of herbs which you can have in pregnancy. And most of the fruit teas are fine I think.

Some may help with pregnancy symptoms - a couple:

Chamomile is calming, can help you sleep, good for your digestion and is very safe, apparently some people find it helps with morning sickness.

Meadowsweet is also used for morning sickness.

I'll look some more up later (shouldn't be on the computer! Lots to do!)

I used peppermint for the heartburn towards the end last time as I'm used to using it for stomach problems. However it made it worse! I looked it up and - of course it does, as peppermint makes your stomach make more secretions, not what I wanted with heartburn at all! The lesson being I really should have looked it up first!

threeleftfeet · 15/08/2012 11:05

JaquelineHyde OK, totally outing myself here, but hey ho! I'm doing a degree in Digital Media, at the same uni you went to!

Are you still on the South Coast?

SneezySnatcher · 15/08/2012 11:05

Morning all. I feel so sick today! It feels just like a hangover. I'm feeling very guilty that I am struggling to give DD as much attention as I usually would (we are watching Cinderella when I'd intended to take her to the beach). Thank goodness it's the summer holidays and I'm off work until Sept 10th. Fingered crossed I'll feel a bit better by then.

Congratulations to all those with fresh BFPs!

MrsTwinks · 15/08/2012 12:08

aufaniae might also be south coast based Wink

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 15/08/2012 13:15

Hi all, welcome to the new BFPers! Congratulations!

(although I appear to have all day sickness AGAIN! Thought it would be different this time round, but appears not!)

So pleased to read about those herbs aufaniae I love camomile tea and find it very soothing. I drank about 3 cups yesterday and I have to say (without knowing until now, having read that it is helpful with sickness) I found it did ease my symptoms. Unfortunately, only as I was drinking it though Grin

I have cleaning to do today, was going to update her and then go and get it started but my kitten has decided to take up residence on my lap, he's soo cute and looks so comfortable (he's also 1 yo so technically not a kitten anymore!)

Have a great day people

x

HiHowAreYou · 15/08/2012 14:28

No sickness here, but I didn't get very much last time either.

I've had a bit of bleeding (red) and some really sharp pains today, more than my previous twinges. I think someone above said Harlow has a walk in early pregnancy unit and that's my local hospital nowadays so I might wander over there later to see if they'll put my mind at rest. Not sure if they'll offer me a scan or not, it might be too early.

ratbagcatbag · 15/08/2012 14:47

I'm
Wondering if once we hit the twelve week magic mark, it's worth starting a FB locked down private group for us that would like it, we're very busy in here and it might be nice. Obviously we've got a few weeks yet, but just a thought. Everyone could suss me anyway with info I've given out :)

miarosemum · 15/08/2012 15:01

hi all...lots more bfps congrats to all Smile...anyone else feeling really bloated or full of wind (sorry if tmi)! feel like a giant whoopee cushion at the moment, need to get some peppermint tablets i think...

spidermanspiderman · 15/08/2012 15:52

I am so full of wind - think that is part of the problem causing the sickness. My stomach just keeps gurgling away!

miarosemum · 15/08/2012 16:14

glad its not just me then spider Wink...

toobreathless · 15/08/2012 17:25

Congrats to all the new BFPs.

I had a reassurance scan (previous ectopic) At the EPAU today & we saw a teeny heartbeat Grin

She date me one week later than my dates though BUT it wasn't an internal & the baby was so tiny I reckon her dates are a bit off.

Hope everyone else is having a good day

Giddypants · 15/08/2012 17:40

Just caught up work a 12 hour shift yesterday and was a bit out of it this morning

hihowareyou yes really scared this time round, feeling a bit better now that I had a little scan, I've started to listen to relaxation CDs which seen to be helping, will defiantly be high risk this time so looking forward to going under consultant care ASAP. And defiantly going for a section, around 37 weeks, and possibly weekly growths scan/placenta scans, I think with my history I'm likely to get that.

Just a quick question, cream cheese is ok right? I know it's a soft cheese but not of the bad kind?

I told my boss a yesterday she was really happy for me, everyone else guessed when I ran away from the mobile x-ray machine, Grin oh well so much for keeping it a secret, and someone else is around the same stage as me, which makes 3 pregnant ladies at work now! They say it always happens in 3's

Giddypants · 15/08/2012 17:41

Welcome to all the new BFP, and oh the wind!

zeebee1 · 15/08/2012 18:36

Hi everyone (walks in with MASSIVE trepidation) This is such a lovely thread - I wondered if I may join you? TOday I am 6 weeks. It's my second IVF pregnancy - 1st one ended in MC which we only realised at the 7 week scan - then had to have the unpleasant EPRC 2 weeks later as sac wasn't passing naturally but causing me HUGE pain every so often... dark days - anyway that was last November, I had 1 FET round which failed to implant in April but now I'm PG again via IVF and feeling really different this time (compared to last). I have crampy type pains that come and go in the womb area, I've had 2x bouts of feeling nausious (sp?) and my boobs are definately growing and ache from time to time (plus I seem to be very up for s*x?!? Anyone else like that??!).

I had a wobble a week ago and went and got my bloods done for the HCG levels - and they were 3000 (24 days after EC) then 48 hrs later they rose to 6000 so I was releaved... my lovely SIL (who has had 4 x fabulous DS's along with 2 MCs) reasured me that high levels like that will not lead to MC... FX FX FX...

So I would think my due date would be early April... I have a 7+1 week scan next Thursday so if that all goes to plan this time I will then add myself to your wonderful list!

Phew - thats the history - there's a lot - so many tears shed along the way and the worry of approching 40 very very soon! Argh!
toobreathless congrats on your scan - was it AMAZING to see your little baby on there?

Waves to everyone!

LikeCandy · 15/08/2012 18:59

Hi all! So many names to remember now...!

To those with wind - I empathise! You could stick a pin in me and feel like I would shoot straight through the ceiling!

To those having bleeding - I had a scan y'day morning due to pain / bleeding and saw a teeny baby in there, heart beat and all! 6weeks 3days today to their measurements. The EPU Doctor said to chill out, easier said than done - bleeding / pain not easy to ignore, and is still ongoing, but apparently all is well!

Also crazy nauseous, and I have no appetite.

Zeebee1 - yes I am definitely feeling more 'frisky' but the above factors are making me less and less appealing - bloated, sickly, gassy Blush I'm sure I am less than 2% sexy/desirable at the moment, poor DH!

babyjames · 15/08/2012 19:02

My goodness you lot can talk! Have read today's and cant remember who said what! Thanks so much for the welcomes and hello to familiar faces from the conception threads :)

I too am soo bloated! Someone even asked me last week at my Zumba class if I was expecting and that is before I found out!!! I used to be a right slim jim but since had DS never quite toned the tummy and now its just popped out! Got a wedding this weekend too and not only am I a very odd shape now have no clue how to hide I'm not drinking!!!

Congrats on the scans. So exciting and reasuring to see that all is well at this early stage. Best wishes to everyone for a happy, healthy 9 months :)
Told my family today and they are so happy so fingers crossed !

EssexWelsh · 15/08/2012 20:14

Mint humbugs are my new ms friend!

babyjames · 15/08/2012 20:24

Grin to hubba hubba!

I work with families Camel and have heard of slap cheek quite a lot recently.

CamelKnees · 15/08/2012 20:51

Oh really babyjames? That's interesting. Dr said he hadn't seen any of it recently but I did wonder if people just don't take their kids in because it's not serious for them...? Know I didn't. She wasn't unwell at all just red! NHS direct explained I shouldn't worry so didn't take her in. Humph. Just want to get blood tests out of the way now. Apparently it's good that I was exposed before 5 weeks as almost no chance of passing it to the baby. Had forgotten quite how much of a worry fest early PG is.

babyjames · 15/08/2012 21:18

I live in the Midlands area and I know of at least 4 in the area I work in the last month. My friends daughter had it and was also not unwell just red! Good that you can get tested and put your mind at rest. There was chickenpox and swine flu around when I was pregnant last time!

I have a wedding to go to Saturday and my dress now shows a multitude of lumps and bumps :( was going to suck it in with big pants but won't do that now. Any ideas of a good highstreet dress to hide the handles of love ;)

CamelKnees · 15/08/2012 21:41

Snap re bloody swine flu last time!! I suppose it's always bound to be something..
