Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 12/08/2012 18:36

Congrats HiHowAreYou

I think you'll be April.

There is a due date calculator on the pregnancy topic page (not the talk board, the actual topic)

Put in the first day of your last period and it will give your your estimated due date.

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 12/08/2012 18:36

Good to hear from you Essex, have been thinking about you.

Enjoy your trip (and WiFi) Grin

HiHowAreYou · 12/08/2012 19:09

Oh yes, April it is! Thanks Brian.

I did my test yesterday, went straight off out to a wedding, and just got back, so I haven't really had time to think properly about it yet. :)

magictorch · 12/08/2012 21:39

Bodice so sorry for your loss x

Is anyone else getting almost painful cramps near their rib cage? I've had sore boobs and nausea that comes and goes for a few days now, but hadn't had the mild AF type cramps for a little while. Tonight though I've had quite painful cramps in ribs. Am worried about every little twinge as this is my first baby and it's been such a journey to get here. No idea what's normal or not?! Fertility clinic doesn't want me to contact doctor about pregnancy until they've done the early scan at 8 weeks, so feel a little lost and would welcome any reassurance.

Welcome too to all the latest BFPs

wishfulthinking1 · 12/08/2012 22:16

Hi all-
My boobs are still not as sore or as big as they were last time. I'm pretty sure I've has nausea though- I did feel quite sick- but I didn't puke, and don't know if it was all in my head or not!!

I do, however, have AWFUL farts!! Blush tell me I'm not the only one!?

Ive actually told quite a few friends irl but don't tell dh! they all know about the mc, and if something bad happens this time i'll really need their support.

Not told parents yet- I know I'll tell them if I have another mc, but I really want that 'we've got something exciting to tell you...' moment, with a scan pic. I don't want to tell them and have it overshadowed with 'early days blah blah blah' caveat.

Stick tight little baby!!! X

ratbagcatbag · 12/08/2012 22:24

Hi magictorch.

I've been getting those pains but had them
loads before pregnant, mines trapped wind, so by moving around a lot or in desperate times, taking windeze, much to my DH disgust once they start moving the pains go but the room is quite the same Blush

Pharmacist did say although windeze safe, it's best to not take the full
Dose and only in dire needs.

To the poster who asked about bad wind, yep got that too, but always been windy anyway. :)

bunnygirl80 · 12/08/2012 23:05

pontouf hope you get some positive news and answers on Thursday

My DS is the same age as yours and I'm not planning on telling him any time soon. I very much doubt he'll understand at this age. I imagine I'll start explaining things to him only a few weeks before baby arrives, unless he starts asking questions before then. I did buy him a little doll a couple of months ago, much to DH's horror, because he loved playing putting nappies on all his teddies. He alternates between being very gentle with it, cuddling, patting to sleep etc, and swinging it by the legs and whacking its head off the wall Grin It's a blue cupcake doll from elc which just about passes muster with DH because it's not overly pink and girly.

magictorch I've been getting general periody type cramps but nothing near rib cage. Could you contact the fertility clinic for advice? I'm sure they've heard every symptom going and would be able to reassure/advise you what to do

threeleftfeet · 12/08/2012 23:20

Congratulations HiHowAreYou! Thanks

threeleftfeet · 12/08/2012 23:31

DP and our lovely flatmate and her DP are making fun of me and my bump!!
(It's in all in good spirits before anyone gets worried!)

We're watching the Olympics.
Not sure how this came up but what is the French for pregnant?

So far their best guesses are "un petit gateaux en la four" and "mon petit pois petit" Hmm Grin

CamelKnees · 13/08/2012 06:53

Congratulations hihowareyou !

magictorch · 13/08/2012 09:43

Thanks for the advice, have slept it off and I think it may well have been wind that is trapped no longer, much to DH's disgust! Blush

kittykatsforever · 13/08/2012 10:01

Hello everyone
Wasn't sure whether to join so I'll wait here in corner for wishful or fellow conception thread followers who know me to hold hands,
Had a rocky start, had mc in may then on second cycle got bfp 2 weeks back ( very very late), digi + on day 41 of a usual 26-32 day cycle but started bleeding the same day, to cut along story short had full af but much to my surprise the hcg levels have kept rising, I stoped bleeding but then started again after 3 days although at the minute it is just brown spotting, I did have full red clotted bleed before though, had repeats 4 times now and booked in for a scan Thursday, i am terrified particulaly after so recent mc, but as pontouf Is having a scan on the same day I thought I'd bite the bullet and post, I've been lurking and reading for weeks but too scared to post incase it jinxed me Sad
I have got dd and had a total problem free pregnancy really first time so I'm all over the place now
Fx for all other girls going through stressful times
Congrats camel we were on your last thread together testing 21st, x

BonaDea · 13/08/2012 10:29

kittykats - hi, welcome and congratulations!

Totally understand your reticence to post, but here's hoping that everything will work out just fine. Smile

CamelKnees · 13/08/2012 13:40

Hi kitty. I remember you. Nice to 'see' a familiar face. So sorry you e had such a stressful time of it. Really hope scan goes well.

ratbagcatbag · 13/08/2012 15:05

Is anyone else just bone achingly tired? I'm at work struggling to keep my eyes open and all I keep thinking is crawling into bed and sleeping a soon as I get in. :)

Teapig · 13/08/2012 15:10

Hello ladies, can I join? I got a BFP on Saturday, due date 21 April.

This will be DC1 for me, but it's my second pregnancy as I had an mc in November last year. We've been trying since Jan so I'm overjoyed but also totally paranoid.

Hope that hanging out here will help me overcome the constant urge to knicker-check Blush

timetomoveon · 13/08/2012 15:57

Been to the docs today and had a tv scan. She measured me as 5+5 so that gives me an edd of 10th April, the day before my birthday! She wrote down that there was a 'living 2mm embryo' so I'm pretty chuffed with that! Go back again in 2 weeks to check that we're all on the right track still :) I can update the list now :) Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - I'm starting to possible believe that this might be real :)

With DC1 I had a placental abruption, so I'm worried about that happening again, but trying not to worry!

ratbag me, me, me - I can literally hardly keep my eyes open most of the time! I am also finding it really hard to concentrate on anything at work - had a two hour meeting this morning and for most of it they could have been talking a foreign language Confused

Also just updating the list to confirm that this would be DC1 for me - it's also my first pregnancy, and I don't know how I'd be getting through without mumsnet for info and reassurance!

Teapig · 13/08/2012 16:50

My edd is just my own best guess. When is it best to go to the doctor for a booking in appointment. I'm only 4 weeks at the mo so guessing it's way too early to call the docs.

Part of me wants to have the appointment as soon as poss so it all seems real and part of me wants to delay in case of mc. I'm thinking I should get to around 7 weeks before making a booking in appointment, does that sound right? Seems like forever until the 12 week point.

Teapig · 13/08/2012 16:53

Meant to say thanks for adding me to the list hihowareyou and big congrats to everyone. April seems like a fantastic month for bouncing Spring babies.

wishfulthinking1 · 13/08/2012 17:03

Hi kitty- I'm here! Full ready to hold hand if you'll hold mine! everything fine my end oooh er am 6+1, just a couple of days off where I started spotting last time, got drs on Wednesday to get the ball rolling on things. And then on Saturday we're jetting off on honeymoon!! Hooray!! --really looking forward to it, though 20 + hour flights when I'm 7 weeks pg and nauseous not most sensible plan ever! Also I'm weeing so much! What are the loos like in Thailand??!!

Fx for Thursday- sorry it's been such a rocky road for you.

Question- am I just being over sensitive? A friend (not close one) had baby a few days ago and I sent a fb message saying congrats etc... She replied just now with...
"..., being a mums the best feeling in the world. Sarah told me about your sad news, so sorry hun"

  • I'm a bit pissed off Sarah said anything tbh, not that I'm embarrassed, but it's personal and private.
-On the other hand, I'm glad she mentioned it, as she'd been told, I've found that most people will not bring it up in conversation at all and will change topic if I bring it up!
  • I'm sure being a mum is indeed the best feeling in the world, but did she have to link it, in the same breath, to my mc?

I'm just being sensitive, aren't I?
xxx

wishfulthinking1 · 13/08/2012 17:05

I'm assuming she was talking about the mc! Though, actually, she didn't explicitly say that. She doesn't know I'm pg again unless Sarah's opened her big trap!! and I don't think I've had any other bad news lately!! X
