Hi everyone, how are you all doing?!

We had an amazing holiday, despite the sickness that was present all day, every day. I had a little cry earlier in self-pity. Feeling rubbish all the time is tiresome.

So, catching up has taken a good while. You are a bunch of chatter boxes!

vix I am sorry to hear your sad news. Good luck with the future.

To all of you with lovely scans and heart beats .. Hurray!! Nearly at the end of this god awful trimester. Is there anything worse than this constant sickness?

I am 9 weeks tomorrow and have a private scan booked for Monday to hopefully see a heartbeat. I feel ok about it as the symptoms are still here so surely that is a good sign.

This pregnancy will always be fixed in my mind as fighting the urge to run off to retch as I want to see who wins the cycling/gymnastics/rowing ..

roteelefant · 04/08/2012 16:57

Thought I should just pop my head in before I go away. Don't forget about me :)
9+5 today so I'll be 10 weeks when I see my Dmum and DSDad - don't know how I will keep it under wraps.

sundae it is never the wrong time to crave pancakes.
pip I made a baby blanket when I was about 19 - Guess I will have to dig it out. I am still halfway though a rag rug though.
I want to build a house atouch so not fair.

adame we sort of have the same problem. Except can't tell parents together as as my DMum and DSDad live back home (in liechenstein) and DDad and DSMum live in scotland. Luckily DP only has his DMum. Except she is also my Step-mum. If I crack when I'm home I will have to phone my dad and Step-mum but if not we might just do it at the same time on the phone. So I'll phone my mums and sdad and DP his mum and s-dad (who is my dad). DP also has 2 brothers. It is far to complex.

Sorry if I missed out anyone, doing this while packing.

Enjoy you week and good luck to people with appointments of any kind.

Just checking in!

mandasand · 04/08/2012 18:40

Hi ladies - just checking in. Very busy weekend - good friends and their two small boys visiting so no time for catching up properly. But we told them last night after we put the boys to bed and there were already tears before we revealed it was twins! Really nice to share the news with people in person :-) They've all been down to the river for a walk and pub garden; I've just woken up - exhausted myself earlier. Really really tired this weekend. Hope everyone's well Smile

ChildOfThe1980s · 04/08/2012 20:13

Hi everyone. I am 7 weeks today.

I had sickness every day for the first 4 months in my first pregnancy, and so far - nothing. Is this normal? The only thing that's making me feel preg at the mo is my slightly sensitive boobs.

mandasand I'm glad that your friends are so happy for you :) And twins are exciting.

HaitchJay · 04/08/2012 20:39

I threw up loads with dd1, occaisionally with dd2, nauseus but no sick with dd3 and this time vaguely nauseus which comes & goes.
So IME it doesn't go that all pregnancies would be the same.

Chefette · 04/08/2012 21:46

Folks hi! Just dropping in, am exhausted and totally knackered, out of nowhere! It is a struggle to lift my arm with the remote (am in Olympic heaven tho') Wink need to sleep for a year, at least am still not pukking I guess, once Mo is finished am hitting the hay Blush

Lexiindisguise · 04/08/2012 21:58

Hey all, just checking in, glad I'm not the only one glued to the Olympics! Hope you are all having a great weekend Smile

JoJoBella84 · 04/08/2012 22:03

Evening all :) just popping in to see how everyone is doing. I'm having what I can only describe as a hormonal day today. Experiencing mini mood swings but thankful the nausea has stayed away. Very sleepy but not tired odd kind of a day really :)
Night all :)

HaitchJay · 04/08/2012 22:09

Just been sat wishing the weeks away calculating the 12 week mark to see if it's before we go away for dh birthday as he will want to tell people( 12 weeks is week before so fingers crossed on scan dates) and then progressed to working out when baby would be born (7th or 14th march assuming c-section day doesn't change!).

ThreeForTea · 05/08/2012 00:06

Just trying to get to sleep now, after sleeping several hours in the daytime. Feeling a bit sad as I finally caved and rang my mum to come and get dd. I know she will have a better time staying with nanny, mixture of exhaustion, nausea and constant headaches meant that dh and I were really struggling to entertain her :( She's about an hour away so we'll prob go and fetch her on Monday. Really miss her already though and feel like she's already missing out to the new baby if this pregnancy doesn't get any easier. I'm being so silly but when I said goodbye she said bye and waved, totally not bothered about going without me, I felt a bit bad. I guess she knows she'll have a lovely weekend being spoiled by g parents and auntie!

Think have found root of headaches though... is my tea addiction Blush didn't think it was that bad, but when I had a cup they lifted, was so odd! Serves me right for trying to go cold turkey!

tiddleypompom · 05/08/2012 06:29

Morning all!
three don't feel guilty - dd will have such fun with her granny :) I think you did the right thing for her as well as you and the new bean, fwiw.

manda the tears! How lovely to have friends who are so happy for you. What a lovely weekend.

We did too - carnival here in the village, lots of sun, a procession of vintage cars & tractors (!), big marquee of competition veg, jam, photos, handicrafts etc, stalls, jugglers, etc. DBro came to stay for the first time & it was mums birthday, so cue much family merriment. DS very happy surrounded by us all & he loved the fete (plus first ice cream). I sloped off to bed at 9pm shattered as usual but bro and DH stayed up with wine so expecting hangovers today.

Db and dsis-il are going through IVF at the moment. It is the final chapter in many years of investigations, op to remove massive fibroid & lots of misery for SIL - I can't say how much I want this to be successful for them. With all that, DBro was stoked to hear he will have another dn in feb/march - SIL didn't come up and stay as feeling too crap - I hope she will be ok with news too, it's very hard all round.

Sorry for missive - off to play duplo! Happy Sunday.

three don't feel guilty, your dd will have a lovely time & hopefully you can catch up with some rest!
tiddley fete sounds wonderful! We went to a BBQ last night & I was driver (helps to avoid drinking qs) so anticipating hungover DH too, he's still snoring Grin
My nausea is really lifting now at 10+1, am trying to pay more attention to what I eat for the sake of the bean as my taste buds feel more normal. Had too much lemonade last night though as driving & it made me feel a bit weird! Grin

HermioneBoo · 05/08/2012 09:44

Back from Dorset, had an ace time paddling in Weymouth and watching the sailing. We told my aunty the news (I felt so ill and tired by the time we got there I couldn't hide it!) and it was so nice to have someone to chat to about it, I have told my mum but I don't see her much and she keeps saying that I'm not far enough along to feel nauseous or bloated. She mc'd before having me so she's just being very cautious.
Is anyone else getting the 'couldn't give a monkey's ' feeling? I'm normally a control freak, I don't let DH drive but on the way to Dorset I not only let him drive, I even had a nap! I also find it very difficult to get to work on time, the more I rush the worse I feel and it's getting quite bad Blush
First MW appointment tomorrow, looking forward to it!

kurlyvoice · 05/08/2012 10:09

Hi everyone!

It's been so long since I've posted that I don't have any threads left in my "I'm on" section! Blush We've had a lovely holiday in a little cottage with no wifi or signal so I'm totally behind on where everyone is. Now staying with DMiL and DFiL for a few days before finally heading home again, so I'll do some serious reading back.

I've got my scan on the 16th so only 11 more days to wait. Am still feeling very nauseous and tired, so our "walking" holiday didn't have anywhere near as much walking as we'd planned! DS has loved being outdoors every day and, thankfully, has slept like a dream because of it. 13.5 hours last night! By my dates I'm 9+5 today so am hoping that I'll start feeling like myself soon...

Is anyone else really paranoid about their toddler clambering all over their tummies? Mine loves to "cuddle" but headbutted my stomach this morning and it hurt a bit.

Hope everyone is doing ok and that those little beans are growing big and strong! Smile

KFFOREVER · 05/08/2012 10:47

Good morning everyone!

Just checking into say hi.

Can't remember who went to a fete yesterday but that sounded great. Ahhhh the life of the countryside.

For those who are feeling sick I don't know what to say. I know im suffering too. Its horrible. We just have to think it will be worth it at the end of it.

The dark clouds are looming in London. Another day at home feeling sorry for myself.

Have a good sunday everyone. x

Sunnymeadows · 05/08/2012 10:51

Girls i need some advice. My boobs although still sore are not as sore as they have been and last night when i turned over in my sleep i had 1 really sharpe stabbing pain on my lower right side. Im 8+3 today and really worried now. I Googled it and got mixed responses. Worried about ectopic but MW told me at booking app i was past that point. DC1 and not sure what to do. Am i over reacting? Is that normal? Any advice welcome x

JoJoBella84 · 05/08/2012 11:02

sunnymeadows if I don't sleep in a bra - I get a sharp pain in my boobs when I roll over. I think it's the extra weight!! If you're worried call NHS Direct on 0845 4647. I'm sure all will be fine but it's always worth getting perculiar symptoms checked out! I called them when I was vomiting blood and they didn't hang around I mentioned pregnancy and they had a nurse in the phone immediately.

backwardpossom · 05/08/2012 11:19

I sleep in a vest that has built-in support for that reason, sunnymeadows. Try not to worry, I'm sure it's just the normal extra-sensitive extra-big boob pain.

2 days until my early scan. It can't come quickly enough!

JoJoBella84 · 05/08/2012 11:24

Ooooh taste buds - how I've missed you :) sliced strawberries and kiwi covered in plain yogurt and topped with a crumbled digestive biscuit :) yumOH! I'm so pleased my diet is normalising!!

GummiberryJuice · 05/08/2012 11:34

Sunnymeadows if I get up to quick I can get a stabbing pain to I got it with all 3 of mine and it is abit worrying but as long as the pain dosen't linger I haven't worried (and believe me I am a worrier!) maybe you turned quicker than you thought in your sleep.

Sunnymeadows · 05/08/2012 11:48

Thanks for advice pain wasn't in my boob it was by bean. Im worried about the pain and Im worried my boobs hurt less. I know Im gona worry til i have my scan, can't believe you have to wait so long. Don't they realise how much a worrying time this is? Sorry to moan! X

KFFOREVER · 05/08/2012 11:55

jojo that sounds yummm.

FloweryBoots · 05/08/2012 11:57

I don't know how you ladies keep up. Must be a couple of weeks since I posted now as just so permenantly exhausted, and the sickness is getting steadily worse not better, fun! I haven't even tried to catch up, there is just too much to read!

But, though I'd check in quickly whilst DH has taken DS out to do the big supermarket shop. DH is being a star whilst I sleep and vomit all day!

Hope others are coping with the sickness and perhaps it's even starting to ease for some as our dates (and tummies) get bigger. I'm 9+3 counting from LMP or 8+4 by midwife's dates. Got my scan appointment in the post last week for 3 September, which of course feels like ages away. A whole nother month before we tell people and I can let on how grotty I feel! Parents know already and two close friends do too now - one because I was sick in front of her whilst we were feeding the ducks with teh kiddies, and the other because I'd been feeling so icky I never made it to the post office with her birthday present and when I appologised I really couldn't think of how else to explain! Birthday was a week ago and present is still sat ontop of our piano!

More exitingly we did our first house viewings yesterday. saw 6 and have another appointmnt tomorrow, adn 2 more we want to see. But it was pretty posative and we're very keen on the first one we saw yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised if we put an offer in, we will certainly do a second viewing.

Hope you're all having good weekends.

Em2010 · 05/08/2012 12:54

Afternoon everyone!! Just been having a lovely morning out in the garden with hot chocolate, fresh baked croissants and the Sunday papers then the heavens opened and we had to leg it indoors whilst the most enormous thunderstorm is rolling around!

Glad to hear everyone is back from their holidays and had a lovely time. kurly I have the same issue with toddler who likes to jump all over me. Felt like I'd been in a boxing match yesterday!! In just hoping baby is well padded in there!! Sorry I can't name check everyone properly as I'm on my phone.

Went to the supermarket yesterday then went to pick up dh from work and he kept me waiting for so long I was starving!! All I had to eat from my shop was ds's Ella's kitchen pouches. So I did Blush and it was gorgeous!!! Now I want to eat the rest of them!!! Blush
