I can only stomach chicken at the mo and everytime I try anoother meat it ends in a a run to the loo - apart from yesterday when Icouldnt make it and was sick in the kitchen bin in the middle of an open plan office when nobody knows yet!
My boss failed IVF on Tuesday so not feeling this is the right time, plus I was thinking that maybe wait till after my operation and give everything a week or so to settle down- but if I continue being sick and crying behind my computer I might not have much choice!
Saw my MW last night and told her my perfect pregnancy plan and she pulled my hip so I sqeeked in pain and said 'not going to happen in a million years SPd is already coming' she said she knew by the way I walked in it was but I always blinking walk with a little weeble I have had 2 major hip ops. Plus now am I am major sore and feel like someone has kicked me in the bone down there when before I was getting the odd shotting pain but not constant like right now - stupid moose I have a good mind to demand another MW! I am only 8+3 she could of just humered me for a while!

That happend on my DS 1st bday thouch so dont panic it will all work out and you will wonder why you were worried when you see there happy face smudging cake everywhere! x

morning all

just checking in to say hi before heading off for the day. am working at home this month just popping into an archive once a week for last-minute search for sources for my book. I've not really that far to go, but it's raining and I cycle to the station, then train, then cab, so it always feels like a bit of a haul. usually, if I can, I go in with DH early in the morning (he works in that town) but I got in a real fury with him at bedtime last night and I didn't get up this a.m. to make his sarnies. feel a bit wretched about it now especially as we've got mates arriving tonight for the weekend, but, really, why he can't just realise that sometimes all he needs to say is 'Oh sorry, I can see how that was a bit annoying' and move on, rather than putting all the washing away except mine and then having a go at me (when he did the thing wrong in the first place) then flouncing off in a huff to watch telly rather than come to bed. Grr. Cue Furious Pregnant Lady!

wish I could just hibernate today instead but got a coffee with a colleague this afternoon so have to hobble out.

sorry so many peeps are feeling so physically yuk today. It will pass!
take care of yourselves.

JoJoBella84 · 03/08/2012 09:16

Finally managed to get hold of a MW!! Scan next fri afternoon! I suddenly feel more relaxed!!

tiddleypompom · 03/08/2012 09:52

Oh vix I was so sorry to hear of your mc. Thinking of you - and wishing you much happiness in the future x

jojo yay for your scan!

No time to write, just a quick check in or I get lost. Hope all start feeling better soon - I am and it's a blessed relief.

Happy Friday Everyone!

zoeymlucas · 03/08/2012 10:12

Thats good news Jojo glad you finally have your date to meet your little bean x

pinkpeony4 · 03/08/2012 10:32

Morning all,

Sorry to hear so many people are feeling sick. I really hope it passes soon. I am now 9+6 and this week has definitely been better even with some sicky moments.

Excellent about everyone having their appointment dates through. It's so nice to have a date to focus on. My 12 week scan is 2 weeks today - yay!

Thanks for the tip on Floradix. Willing to try anything to help with the tiredness so just bought some. Finding afternoons with the children very hard indeed. I have no energy and am ashamed at how much tv/ipad they have been watching/playing.

Shocked at the size of my tummy this morning. I think I look 4-5 months pregnant and not nearly 10 weeks! Must have no tummy muscles left at all after the last three. I am still going to the gym 3 times a week so shudder to think how enormous I would be if I wasn't! Does anyone else already look pregnant?! Last time I was still in my normal jeans until after 20 weeks.

I hope everyone has a lovely Friday. The weather is great today so going to make the boys play in the garden.

HaitchJay · 03/08/2012 10:37

Am sat outside wedding, too early , it's not until 11 but kids were v excited and I never expected to get parked so easy!

HaitchJay · 03/08/2012 10:38

Oh and my dress is v tight round the middle!

backwardpossom · 03/08/2012 11:02

Ah great stuff jojo!

Sorry, me me me post coming up. I'm getting very very nervous about my scan on Tuesday. I just can't relax about this pregnancy. I think the cruellest thing about miscarriage is that it takes the excitement away from future pregnancies. I was so blissfully naive when pregnant with DS. I had no symptoms and was so relaxed and happy. This time I'm a gibbering wreck as I know how wrong things can go. I just want to see a heartbeat on Tuesday...

JoJoBella84 · 03/08/2012 11:02

pink I don't look pregnant yet but I'm definitely noticing little changes, I find leggings and stretchy tops more comfortable now than ever before, my new bras are fab and make me look bustier (despite no cup change, I'm just 'fuller' I think). I'm definitely thicker around the middle! Tried on my tshirt in prep for my exam and it's a skin tight polo shirt! Not a great look so I'm borrowing a larger size off a course friend!

zoeymlucas · 03/08/2012 11:29

backwardpossom someone told me on here after my MC in May - A MC stops you seeing a positive test as a baby and instead makes you stress over every step and day. Of course your going to be nervous and I am sure your little bean with be boucing around and you will of forgotten all these nerves within seconds of seeing it x

This is baby no3 for me and my tummy is def more rounded already :(

kirsty80 · 03/08/2012 11:29

possom I can totally relate to how your feeling. With my ds I remember just being happy and excited the entire time, since my two mcs this year I feel like a paranoid wreck! I question every single symptom or non symptom and can't imagine when I'm going to feel happy and excited - I think it'll be around the 16 week mark (hopefully) when I can feel baby move. I'll be thinking of you during your scan and Im sure everything will be fine and you can start enjoying this great time!

jojo really pleased that your scan date has come through Smile

tiddley I love reading your posts!

Have a great day everyone! We're off to watch mickey mouse at the Lowry! X

Rainbowbabyhope · 03/08/2012 12:06

possom I too relate to how you are feeling - with DD I was incredibly naive. We had beautiful normal scans at 12, 16 and 20 weeks and we could not imagine that anything could possibly go wrong, but it did without warning and we did not get our beautiful baby girl that we had been waiting for. Unfortunately I don't think those of us who have lost our little ones, no matter at what stage in pregnancy can ever have the luxury of enjoying our pregnancies because we know what does and can go wrong. I certainly wont be relaxing or taking anything for granted until this new little one is safe in my arms!

Lexiindisguise · 03/08/2012 12:30

backwardpossum big hugs, I hope all is well on Tuesday & it allows you to relax & enjoy your pregnancy a bit more!
pink I don't look pregnant to anyone else, but I don't think my bras will do much longer, & I am in all my 'large clothes'. I'm definitely thicker round the waist & my belly is a different shape compared with normal weight gain shape changes!

ThreeForTea · 03/08/2012 12:38

Hi, just a quick one, have just had scan and baby is fine, heartbeat all in order! Was so relieved cried, consultant was really nice though. Now out for lunch with dh to celebrate :)

JoJoBella84 · 03/08/2012 12:43

Fab news threefortea go out and celebrate :) with diet coke and something laden with melted cheese.....

MrsRigby · 03/08/2012 13:14

Just checking in.

Had my blood taken this morning and I'm just waiting on the results. Really hoping for a good result in the hope it'll make me relax a bit.

Still thinking of you vixjane.

ATourchOfInsanity you're building a house? I'm so Envy I'd love to buy some land in the country and build my own house. I don't envy the party preperations or the party itself. DH and I haven't thrown either of the boys a birthday party to date as I'm not good around people. I feel sick just thinking about it.

zoeymlucas whilst pregnant with DS2 I craved and I do mean CRAVED roast chicken - I'm a vegetarian. At one point I was seriously considering jumping in a taxi at 9.30pm with DS1 (who was asleep in bed) and going to ASDA to sneekily buy one whilst DH was working away. At one point I even cried because I wanted it so badly. Not good.

pinkpeony4 my work trousers are very tight on me and I can no longer fit in jeans, have had to buy maternity jeans already. I think I look about 5 months pregnant, there is definately a bump. I didn't show with DS1 or DS2 until I was 7 months pregnant. Most unfortunately I have noticed that I'm waddling when I walk Blush I never did this with DS1 or DS2.

backwardpossom I 100% understand why you are feeling the way you are. Good luck with your scan, I'll keep my fingers croassed for you. As you may have realised I too am worried constantly and can't relax and enjoy this pregnancy. I know it's stupid because I already have 2 healthy children, but that 1 missed miscarriage was so devestating and painful that I fear it happening again. I think once I have a scan and I'm in the second trimester I might relax a bit.

ThreeForTea great news Grin

KFFOREVER · 03/08/2012 13:16

Hi everyone

Great news threefortea.

Good luck for Tuesday possum. Hope the days go quick for you.

Finally you have a scan date jojo.

I havent got my scan yet. Waiting for it so I can book a babymoon is September fingers crossed I am well enough to go.

tiddleypompom · 03/08/2012 13:17

Hooray for mini threefortea! Enjoy your lunch.

How's the wedding going I wonder?

Just been outed via a wwyd thread, best mate has spotted me on this antenatal board! No drama though grand total of those who know has risen to 5 ignoring likely mil blabs

Waiting till after scan before telling anyone else - for all the reasons above.

Am feeding DS at the mo (left hand typing) and count four bruises on his little head. Cruising is dangerous & coffee tables are the devils work... Poor little chap.

tiddleypompom · 03/08/2012 13:21

p.s. there is a pot noodle in the food cupboard. I blame you lot entirely if it accidentally gets consumed in the next half hour. I was raised well, dontcha know?

(fallen from grace)

zoeymlucas · 03/08/2012 13:24

Lunch of champions for me toast with dairylea AND marmite, lol!!

JoJoBella84 · 03/08/2012 13:31

tiddley I had my final pot noodle today, decided that my taste buds are returning to normal and they are now as disgusting as they should be :D
OH was a little concerned it might become a permanent thing!!

dameflamingo · 03/08/2012 14:54

tiddley I now have a craving for pot noodle - in fact a spicy curry one is the only thing that will suffice. We can fall from grace together and sit on the cheerleading benches too! but then I read zoey's post about marmite....oooh I love marmite. god my appetite is back with a vengence. thanks for egging it on ladies! Anyone craving kinder eggs?

possom I really do feel for you. I hope that your scan will bring some relief so you can enjoy the next few weeks ( and all those months ahead).

You know I think we all have waaaaaaay too much information at our fingertips at times and the filtering between what is good info and what is serious nonsense is hard to work out. My mum tells me that she was 'blissfully ignorant' and sometimes I'd like to do a swap. I did a google search the other day on 8 weeks gestation (perhaps a little obsessive) and just hit the image button... DON'T DO THIS LADIES. I was faced with the usual images of ultrasounds and people showing tehir lovely rounded tums which is what I was really looking for BUT also all the monstrous images put out there by pro-life groups, medical research papers etc. I cried for an hour. Having learned nothing I looked on Wikipedia yesterday to ascertain first timester time ( I got confused whether medically speaking the two weeks prior to conception are included in the figure of 12 weeks Blush) Wikipedia had a picture of a MC foetus on this 'information' page - just in case anyone wanted to see (WHY?). Another hour and a box of kleenex later. No more searches for me.

Twofortea Exciting news about the scan, do you keep looking at the pic?

Am off to visit parents at other end of country this weekend. As its 10 weeks and we've had a scan with dancing baby and heartbeat we've decided to tell them. I'm a bit nervous as to how to do so - perents divorced years ago and both have partners - all get on well but is it bad form to tell all 4 together? should I tell my mum first? also my sibling and I are very close (twins) so I sort of fell that I should confide there in the very first instance. What is the etiquette? Any views welcome! x

JoJoBella84 · 03/08/2012 15:12

dameflamingo I've learned that when it comes to separated parents ALWAYS tell them together!! (providing they still talk to each other). Otherwise you get the I'm hurt you didn't tell me first or why does your mother always know more than me about your life....

HaitchJay · 03/08/2012 16:01

Tiddley- I saw that thread!

MrsR- I am veggie but crave meat in pg. ate it last time but really difficult until people know as they'd query it.

Am on break until night do, exhausted, want to go to bed but dd2/3 are bouncing and I'd mess my hair.
