Rosy, so sorry to hear your sad news take some time for yourself Thanks

Manda TWINS!!!!! So excited for you, when I was thinking about having another I would have recurring dreams that I was having twin girls, 2 months ago a met a colleague who's on mat leave, the first thing she said was I dreamed that you were pregnant with twin girls, then last month was working with a girl who was 8 week pg, she also said that she had had a dream with me and twins, freaky!

Vix, I'm 4 weeks today, and I have no symptoms what so ever! Told my mum, and she said it was far too early, most people don't even know they are pregnant at this stage it's only because I peed on 5000 sticks that I know!

sneezecake · 25/07/2012 18:45

Jojo, 3.5 hour kip, get it while you can Grin

GummiberryJuice · 25/07/2012 18:46

Brilliant news from random she's back with us, I think you may need to copy and paste that post so everyone can read what super news you got

FloweryBoots · 25/07/2012 19:02

Mandasand what fabulous news, so excited and pleased for you, and glad it is such welcome happy news that it's twins.

Sorry to hear your sad news rose take care.

Right, better go and start getting DS to bed. With the heat and the pollen yesterday it was nearly 9.30pm before he got to sleep poor little lad, and I really could have done with a decent doze on the sofa before an early night which then wasn't possible!

Been feeling supper rottern all day today, the nausea just won't stop. And feeling particularly sorry for myself as it's my birthday and I just feel yucky. Self centred bit over. DS to bed, then takeaway, spring rolls is one thing I have thoguht of I feel like I could stomach!

JoJoBella84 · 25/07/2012 19:26

Happy birthday flowry sorry you feel so rotten. If my dates are accurate I'm due to give birth on my birthday so I imagine I'll be complaining at either being overdue, too fat, too sober or in labour!!!

mmmmsleep · 25/07/2012 19:36

Manda congratulations! That's amazing.

KFFOREVER · 25/07/2012 20:28

Manda- Fantastic news about twins.

Kirsty- Your welcome to come and do my washing anytime. :-)

Rose- Im very sorry to hear what happened. I hope you have the right people around you to look after you.

tiddly- good luck with the packing. Moving is very stressful but make sure you don't over do things.

Sorry to those who feel horrible. Yesterday was my good day. Today was NOT! Felt exhausted all day and so sick most of the day. Its def an early night for me tonight.

newyearsday · 25/07/2012 21:42

Wow twins! Congratulations manda and your dh, what a wonderful surprise!

tiddleypompom · 25/07/2012 21:49

rose I was so very sorry to hear your sad news. So desperately unfair. Wishing you peace and strength to overcome this sadness & hoping you will be able to think about trying again soon. Hugs to you x

Happy Birthday flowery!

Loving stories of power naps, boozy ironing, bewildered dhs and ginger biscuits that stay down. I am so happy here on this thread amongst you all.

In bed and utterly done in. Last night here in our lovely home - am remembering happy times. Bitter sweet really, we have been here 7yrs and a lot has happened since we moved in.

Sweet dreams all - sorry not to respond individually but even my fingers are aching :o

Really sorry Rose really so sorry to hear that. Xxx

JoJoBella84 · 25/07/2012 22:42

More investigative work required gummi what's the gossip?

Sunnymeadows · 25/07/2012 22:48

flowery happy birthday! Hope you had a lovely day.

rose hugs to you my dear.

manda Smile wonderful news on twins, exciting stuff. I've had dreams i would have twins but not in my or DH family.

What are your plans all for telling work? I want to wait until 12weeks but might have to say before then.

Sunnymeadows · 25/07/2012 22:50

Ps, i love drying the washing on the line. sad but true x

GummiberryJuice · 25/07/2012 23:13

GummiberryJuice · 25/07/2012 23:19

Bpm (not non)

TinkerBellaFlora · 25/07/2012 23:39

Oh my word, go away for one day and so much news to catch up on! Huge congratulations manda. Such amazing news on the twins front.

Glad to hear all's well with random and congrats to everyone else who has had positive scan experiences. Starting to get v nervous for mine on Saturday.

Sorry to hear your sad news rose.. Take care of yourself.

Have felt awful today. Zero energy and low level nausea. Just not been with it and ended up in minor car incident (small scratches but had to swap details and very obviously my fault) and sending an email to a colleague but bizarely using the wrong name for him. Not one of my better days stwould have been best for all if i'd just stayed in bed i fear. Still it could have all been a lot worse.

How can I feel so tired and yet sleep be evading me?

TinkerBellaFlora · 25/07/2012 23:40

Apologies for the garbled bit in last post Blush

mandasand · 26/07/2012 01:28

Cannot sleep! The heat, the headache, and the wonder and terror of carrying two babies is keeping me awake! I've re-done the stats thread, and am in wonderment at randomswitch's absolutely fantastically brilliant news from the stats thread! What a story!

mandasand · 26/07/2012 01:40

Bloody hell, Tinker, are you okay after the crash? I know what you mean about being wiped out and just feeling slightly ill and out of it. Hope you've managed to fall asleep by now! Thanks (and to others!) for the lovely congrats! You're all so great! Has not sunk in yet. We went out for a meal to celebrate or, rather, was too tired to cook and we just stared at each other in amazement.

sunnymeadows twins not in our families either! I conceived soon after coming off POPill and apparently you can be super fertile at first. I probably released two eggs and his supersperm fertilised both of them! Bloody hell! Any worries about us being over the hill have been utterly confounded!

sneezecake that is so spooky about the twins dreams! You never know...!!!

GOOD LUCK tomorrow with the house move Tiddley! Hope you had a good last night in.

Flowery HAPPY BIRTHDAY for yesterday! Thanks

JoJoBella84 · 26/07/2012 08:46

Morning all, that's fantastic news about random will she be making an appearance on the thread or just watching from the sidelines for a while??!
tinker where was your crash? I only ask because there was a crash on a roundabout yesterday in aberdeen very mild thing just scratches!!

Is anyone else fighting the desperate urge to tell everyone their news? I'm finding myself wanting to put really obvious status updates on Facebook to see if people twig!!

Sheldonella · 26/07/2012 09:19

Morning ladies. Not much new to report here, just desperate to get "in the system" which I will tomorrow as I have my booking doctors appointment. Still feel sick although I think I'm learning to manage it a bit now. I think it is worse when I eat acidic foods. Weirdly, coffee is making me feel better.
rose I'm so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are ok.
random If you are reading, how lovely. Great to hear some good news.
manda I'm so excited for you. I remember your post about twins being a ready made family and them playing while you bake cupcakes (that was you right?) and you have made me want twins :) I was terrified before.
Tinker I hope you are ok! That must have been scary.
Sorry I haven't namechecked everyone (I'm being naughty at work :) )
Have a good day!

sneezecake · 26/07/2012 09:32

At what stage are you making you booking in appointments, I think I was around 10 weeks with DS but i booked a 6 week scan with the EPAU.
I'm pretty sure I'll be height risk and referred to a obs dr should I get in there early?

*tinker hope you are ok

sneezecake · 26/07/2012 09:33

*high risk

mandasand · 26/07/2012 09:34

Sheldonella, yes that was me!! (I couldn't remember if it was this thread or the Just Shagging thread that I was on before I 'graduated'!) Teehee! Nice that you remembered my little domestic fantasy :-) Glad the coffee is working and here's to a great day ahead (and a good appt for you tomorrow!)

JoJo, I've posted a message there to try to lure random over when she's ready! Sounds as if she's just taking a moment to breathe, given all the ups and downs of the last few weeks, poor love! I am with you on trying desperately not to tell everyone! DH keeps raising an eyebrow when I say 'I've just told so-and-so because?' Usually it's a good reason, like yesterday when I asked a woman in a similar job as me, funding by the same research council, who's about to go on maternity leave, what the rules and regulations were about; but she knew we were trying so it was a natural and nice thing to share!

Today I am seeing my boss and the Head of the School for an update on our first year's work. Early this a.m. I got a message from my boss asking whether I'd be interested in working for a project he has in mind two years hence, when the current one finishes. In a way that was helpful. I really can't tell him yet, as I want to get book to press and move our database forward and have 12-week scan first, so it was nice to think ahead to post-pregnancy, but it also felt slightly deceptive not to mention the fact that I may need to take most of next year off! Hope I get through today. Had to plan outfit carefully as my bump has, I'm sure, grown since I had the scan yesterday morning!

Happy days all! May we keep our nausea, sickness and headaches ? and other aches and pains and tiredness ? and cravings for Wotsits ? at bay! Smile
