whim have you had root beer? It tastes like TCP... When I was in the US I missed crisps; they have ranch flavour, cheese and salted... But salt and vinegar, or pickled onion, chicken, beef, marmite... None of them. I love salt and vinegar crisps. Also breakfast cereals were expensive and limited, they all seemed to be for sugar obsessed kids. The fresh salsa was to die for though, and so easy to buy. Nothing at all like the stuff you get here. I also hated their chocolate, Herseys tastes horrible. There was plenty good stuff, also things like McDonalds and other fast food chains had much better quality meat in. Well, not re-constituted at least. Still, enough reminiscing... I wonder if I will ever go back. I'm wanted for medical bill dodging, and have no idea if that would somehow be linked to my passport.
I think it's time I started thinking baby supplies then. We have a few clothes, a travel system, and a crib (without required bolts), muslin cloths, and I think a cot sheet or two that were given to me by my sister.
I guess I was wondering what a new baby actually needs?
Some nappies (reusable ideally, maybe disposable for the first week or two) cotton wool for bums (or reusable wipes), a couple of outfits - vests, sleep suits, cardigans, maybe a hat and snow suit - place to sleep (crib, or carrycot from pram). I need maternity pads, bra pads, and nipple cream.
I could buy most of that from one shop the week before its due right? Other items can be bought after baby is here when I know I need it, and know what hasn't been got as gifts.
Am I being too relaxed?
This is turning into a mega post, and I've not even said hi to people. I'll post this then read back and make some responses.
