Any news from Ishop or Warzone yet? So excited for them!!!

Am watching the opening ceremony now with baby going mad inside me and Dh painting my toe nails, badly!!! Am gonna have to beg a girlfriend to do it I think!!

Am off on a staycation tomorrow, we've got 4 nights in a hotel that's only about 15 mins down the road but amazing for the kids, swimming, beach, tennis, golf etc, and I'm planning on doing nothing!!! Reading my book and relaxing! Can't wait, baby better stay put until we get back as we're taking kids to Lion King on Wed night, then my mum doesn't arrive until 7th (she lives in Spain) and my dad's gone on holiday to Italy till 9th, gulp, but not due till 19th so hopefully will be ok!!!

Westcountrylovescheese · 27/07/2012 21:59

Tashaw my little one is dancing along too! Wouldn't let DH near my toenails, he might do a better job than me!

Eagerly waiting for news from Ishop and Warzone too!

Enjoy your staycation!

hamncheese · 28/07/2012 08:08

Congratulations ishop on Xavier I bet he is perfect!

Hpe everything goes well warzone can't wait to hear of the baby!

Yay for baby being head down bears :)

I never used to care too much about the foot thing susie but then jeans turned skinny and all hell broke loose!!!

I was so so sore last night in the bump, the whole thing ached and I felt really sick from eating too late and had a sore jaw and sore neck from having to try and sleep propped up and I was way too hot and lying there thinking "ok, someone has to get this baby out of me because I really just can't do this anymore":( Luckily this morning I feel a bit better so will be trudging on (as if there is an option ha!) but ughhhhhh I really would like if my dates were miscalculated and these next two weeks weren't the last 2 before my due date but the 2 I would end up going overdue over IYSWIM. Please baby, come out, for Mum's sanity!

Hope you all slept better than me! 2 weeks to go today!

PictureThis · 28/07/2012 09:17

Congratulations Ishop, love the name. Hope you're feeling ok today and you managed to get some sleep last night.
Good luck Warzone, look forward to hearing your news soon. It's all getting very real now as these babies start to arrive but I've still got another 4 weeks to go.

The weather hasn't been to hot here so it's meant that after nights of insomnia, I've slept quite well for the last two nights and had no leg/foot cramp last night yay. Anyone watch the opening ceremony? I saw most of it but fell asleep when the teams were coming out (who knew there were so many countries!) and kept waking up at various intervals so it ended up more like a surreal dream. I totally missed David Beckham handing the torch to Sir Steve Redgrave so was totally confused as to how it got into the stadium and who was actually lighting the cauldron. It all became clear this morning when I saw the news. Settling down this morning to watch the cycling this morning then we're off to an agricultural show this afternoon. Hope the rain holds off. Have a good Saturday everyone.

PictureThis · 28/07/2012 09:19

I really should read my posts before posting them, talk about word repetition!

woopsidaisy · 28/07/2012 09:35

Congratulations Ishop! Thanks
I was awake for a couple of hours last night, so very tired this am. But will go back to bed for a sleep when DH up.
I have to say that my bump is being very well behaved. It does move alot, but I never seem to get the foot stuck under the ribs or any discomfort from the bump...so far anyway! I've probably just jinxed that!Grin

Whiteangel · 28/07/2012 10:15

No more babies over night? Hopefully war zone is well on the way. I'd like to be next please. Fingers so sore during the night. Went for a tiny walk to the library yesterday and pelvis was agony for the rest of the day. Has anyone else read or used the sensational baby sleep plan by Alison Scott-Wright? DH found it in the library yesterday and I've only read a couple of chapters but I am now really confused! Contradicts all of the advice we've been given at antenatal classes and most of the SIDS prevention recommendations. I'd love our baby to sleep well but surely the advice given by both NHS and private antenatal classes is based on hard evidence? Not sure if I need to read lots more or stop all together! Why don't they come with an instruction manual? Even our new kettle came with one!

PictureThis · 28/07/2012 10:20

I would stick to evidence based advice Whiteangel.

Westcountrylovescheese · 28/07/2012 10:29

White angel, I'd probably go with the NHS/nct advice too. Do you know how much research based empirical evidence is used in the book. Or is it all anecdotal?

Also sorry but I have marked my place for being next so you'll have to wait...Grin DH has performed his task this morning Wink and we are off for a longish walk followed by a curry this evening (maybe even with pineapple in it). Raspberry leaf tea and birthing ball bouncing inbetween.

Eviction order has been served. Grin

The3Bears · 28/07/2012 11:48

Congratulations ishop Love the name :) Hope you've managed to get some rest x

38 weeks today for me hopefully not long now really want my baby soon Grin Going to jetwash the front garden today, tidy up back garden and plant some seeds with ds. Already done all the tidying and a massive pile of ironing been a very busy bee this morning. Loved watching the opening ceremony last night but like you [picture] fell asleep when the parade was on wanted to see team gb and woke up after they had been on was very confused as kept drifting off but was too good too miss :) ds watched a little bit after the cinemas so hope he's not too tired today at football training. Can't remember who asked about the film 'The Lorax' (sorry) I thought it was good as I love reading the Dr Seuss books to ds and he really enjoyed it, im sure most kids would. The cinemas were empty aswell and really cool inside so it was lovely, had a cheeky pizza hut aswell before cinemas which was yummy :)

tasha hope you enjoy your staycation sounds perfect :) well done for getting your dh to paint toenails aswell, my dp would be terrible at it I actually managed to do mine myself last week which I am v proud of did a good job too Grin

warzone Hope your okay cant wait to hear news of another LO being born :)

Hope you manage to rest today ham your having a really tough time atm with this pregnancy dont blame you for wanting baby out asap, not long now though.

whiteangel I would stick with the nhs and sids advice also, I read alot of baby sleep/bf books when ds was born and found it just made me feel worse. Just do what feel right for you when baby arrives. No books for me this time. I found it easier when ds was a few weeks old to start bathing him at night and giving him a little massage before bed a nice bf and he slept really well, going to be doing the same this time around and not stress about how little baby is sleeping and feeding etc.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday :)

Vinolover · 28/07/2012 14:00

Congratulations ishop. I also love the name!

Enjoy your few days away tashaw. Sounds absolutely blissful!

I hope warzone is getting on alright.

Well yesterday I bounced on my ball for about an hour, drowned myself in RLT, rubbed clary sage into my bump, went for a curry, had some loving Wink and evening primrose oil and baby is still happily wriggling around in there. I did cause a few niggles though so it can all only be doing good. More of the same today I think!!! I've already been for a walk along the under cliff and nearly passed out by walking back up the steps.
Does anybody else get really sharp pains in their cervix? I remember getting them early on but had them again last night. I've not noticed my plug coming away though so I don't think it's anything too exciting.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend :)

MrsMigginslovespies · 28/07/2012 14:58

Hello all,

Just a quickie for now whilst I catch up, but congratulations to you Ishop! Wonderful news and I'm so pleased you and baby are doing well. Lovely lovely Thanks!

Am feeling very tired and sick today from all the running about yesterday in Edinburgh getting final bits sorted. We did pick up the pram though which I love! Can't believe there will be a small baby in it soon!

Enjoyed the opening ceremony for the most part last night, but though of it was a bit random. Loved the torch though.

Have sore ribs and dodgy tum today for some reason. Bleuch. Off for a nap I think then will spend a bit of time on my ball/relaxing. Really no energy at all, plus it's pouring with rain yet again. Sorry for moany moan!

Hope you're all having a nice weekend and feel as ok as expected! x

pintofmilk · 28/07/2012 15:45

Hi all, have been meaning to post for ages, but just been soo busy and tired.

Got loads of posts to catch up on.

Ishop congratulations, big bunch of Thanks for you and a glass of Wine.

Warzone hope all is going well, look forward to hearing your news soon.

NeedlesCuties · 28/07/2012 15:47

Congrats, Ishop :)

All the best to Warzone am looking forward to updating the list soon to include these new babies.

vino I am soooo glad you said about a pain in your cervix (not happy that you're in pain of course) as I've been having that for about a week and was worried. Don't remember having that same pain with DS until I was well into labour in the hospital. This time round I've been getting it at random times during the day and was worried that I was going to go into labour. Not sure what it is, sort of feels like I'm dilating, but don't know if that is possible without contractions, loss of plug, waters breaking etc etc. All I know is it's sore :(

Had a big crying session today, was just so down about things which normally wouldn't upset me. Cried to DH about them, sort of got into a small argument as it seemed we were both blaming each other, and I'm just a bit "meh" feeling now.

Oh well, just one of those lovely hormone fuelled frets, I suppose.

(36+1)

justine09x · 28/07/2012 16:15

Lovely to see all these babies arriving congratulations to all :)

With regards to waters breaking and plugs etc I'm on my third baby and never had a plug come away or waters breaking and the last baby was born in 45 mins from 1st contraction to birth and at 38 weeks so don't get disheartened it really can happen just like that at any time!!

Although saying that you would think that by now I would know a real contraction but I still worry about every niggle! Why is childbirth so unpredictable I just need a date to look forward to now the what if and whens are driving me mad!

Hope u all have a lovely Saturday and we see some more babies this weekend! Xx
