Thanks ladies Smile

Awful night's sleep last night, Lilly, DS and DP waking me up in an apparent tag team - I saw every hour throughout the night! Shock

Ellie I was amazed by how much more settled Lilly was when we moved her to formula too! I thought she was just odd! Grin No idea why they're more settled on it. Esp because Lilly still eats little and often like when she was bf - 3oz at a time - so not convinced it's because she's just full up. She used to vomit loads after a feed too and that's completely stopped now she's on fm. Confused

McKayz it's amazing the drivel people come out with when they're talking to pregnant women - baby-brain is supposed to affect the mum!

Any interesting weekends planned? We have nothing planned at all, not sure what I can be bothered doing TBH.
DP isn't in my good books today, he got drunk last night and is hungover today Hmm I probably sound like a right miserable nag but he knows I hate being around drunk people and I certainly don't want the DC seeing him like that. I've forgiven him though, he does it so rarely, wasn't too bad and he looked really embarrassed this morning. Grin

Sorry for any missing 'A''s, the button on my laptop is playing up.

That sounds like an awful night Sad I hope you're being waited on today Smile how much formula does lilly get through? Am wondering how much I need to ask them to prescribe! Got a half size tin which might not last till I get some more Confused

AnchorBun · 16/06/2012 16:51

Just woken from a sleep so deep it cannot be classified as a nap Grin

Uum...mental maths...Lilly has on average 36oz in a day (in 12 groups of 3oz usually). 12 feeds! Shock didn't realise it was that many! She's never followed the guidelines on the box though. If I remember correctly she was on about 20-24oz in 24 hours when she was 3 months old.
Is there a little table on the side of the tin with a feeding guide? I can write out the one on our box if you like?

There is but it isn't what he does!! He just does whatever he feels like- between 2 and 6oz between and hour and 5 between feedsHmm I'll see if they'll give me 2 normal tubs and see how long it lasts, don't want to be going back every week!

elliebug · 16/06/2012 16:58

Ps I'm Envy of your sleep

McKayz · 16/06/2012 17:00

Ellie the boys were both formula fed and they never followed the chart on the tin. DS1 never had as much and DS2 always wanted more.

They're the same now actually. DS2 eats far more than DS1.

elliebug · 16/06/2012 17:31

Feel bad for wasting it when he only has a tiny bit though!

McKayz · 17/06/2012 07:08

Morning.

Having a bit of a panic here today. Baby doesn't really seem to be moving at all. Just a couple of little wriggles when I prod her.

Going to give it a while and have cold drink etc to see if she starts moving. If not I'll give MW a ring.

elliebug · 17/06/2012 07:16

Please don't wait too long, I'm sure everything is ok and she is just being lazy Smile getting ready for the hard job of being a little sister

TroubleAndFyfe · 17/06/2012 07:33

Morning all! Wow, nothing quite like projectile vomit all over your bed, hair, face and baby is there?! Well, I'm up, an hour earlier than intended anyway!
Have you only just woken up mckayz? How long have you been monitoring her for?

McKayz · 17/06/2012 07:39

About quarter to 7 I realised she hadn't moved. I can get her heartbeat on my Doppler. But she just doesn't seem to want to move. There's the odd wriggle but no kicks.

ghosteditor · 17/06/2012 08:19

mckayz, they do run out of room for kicking a bit towards the end, but if she's not behaving as normal then I would get checked out, perhaps even this morning. The MWs will understand and everyone will be relieved when you get good results from the monitoring Smile

TroubleAndFyfe · 17/06/2012 08:22

Is there someone who can take you in mckayz? It is probably all fine but it'd be good to know for sure wouldn't it?Smile

McKayz · 17/06/2012 08:24

There's a bit more wriggling now.

McKayz · 17/06/2012 08:28

I just text my mum even though I know she will be asleep and now there is a party in my bump with all sorts of kicks etc

I'm going to keep an eye on it.

TroubleAndFyfe · 17/06/2012 09:00

Grin great news!

foolserrand · 17/06/2012 09:19

Phew! Less of that drama, thank you McKayz! Flissy did that a few hours before labour started and I went in to get checked which was a waste of my time. Let's hope it means the same for you!

Who did that to you, Trouble? The little girl from the exorcist? (nb, fools has not seen the exorcist but has heard stories of vomit).

Well, off to play happy families to my ma and pa. Wish me luck! Have never wanted a cigarette so much. Actually, I don't but you know what I mean!

McKayz · 17/06/2012 10:39

I think I will ring the hospital. I just feel worried about it as she has moved but it still doesn't feel right. Sad

elliebug · 17/06/2012 10:46

Def go mckayz, that's similar to what happened with jake, he was moving but I just wasn't happy, best to get it checked

McKayz · 17/06/2012 12:30

She is of course now wriggling like a mad woman. I've got to stay on the monitor for a bit but all looks good!

I feel like a bit of an idiot though but never mind.

ghosteditor · 17/06/2012 12:51

Yeys!! Don't worry mckayz, it's always the right decision to get checked out Smile

elliebug · 17/06/2012 15:05

glad she is wriggly :) don't feel silly always better to get checked out

i'm just wondering if £50 is too much to spend on a changing bag???? its very pretty here

McKayz · 17/06/2012 15:10

I'm home!!

Apparently I'm having contractions. I can't feel them at all though.

elliebug · 17/06/2012 15:18

yay and yay :o painless contractions are the best or so i would imagine if you have her today i will def buy the bag so fingers crossed :o

TroubleAndFyfe · 17/06/2012 15:54

I couldn't feel mine the day my waters broke (day before Fyfe was born) mckayz! They kept asking if I could feel them! FX! Grin
