aw mamma I'm so sorry the birth didn't go well - I know how it feels to be left in unbearable pain for hours like that - there are no words. I hope you have someone you can talk to about it - but equally don't feel pressured into discussing it all if you don't feel ready. I couldn't really talk about my birth at first and even now prefer not to apart from with DP. For me it's very much been a process to come to terms with it - and I think it will haunt me for a while yet. Whenever I find myself lingering on the shit bits I remind myself to look at Odie and think about how amazing he is and I try to be thankful that we both came out of it ok in the long run.. It is getting easier with time - I hope the same will be true for you.
That said - CONGRATULATIONS!! What a great weight she is! I love her name - it's beautiful! I hope you had a good first night together with not too many poo-explosions!!
davina wow! that's fantastic - fingers crossed she carries on sleeping so well in her cot! I'm not looking forward to Odie going in his cot - but I can totally see co-sleeping getting trickier as he gets bigger - I suspect he will just want more space at some point and will hopefully be happy going into his cot to get it! I will really miss my sleepy cuddles though.. The bed must feel really big without Lauren in it!!
fools Flissy is gorgeous!!
re name changing - I've always liked your name - but I can't agree on you being an idiot - you aren't at all!!
Hope Flissy's tummy is better today! :)
davina ooh - EpicOde - I really like that - I think we have a winner!!
trouble how's Fyfe doing? Any new photos to share..? :) Once the weather is nicer we must arrange for you, me and bun to meet up!
So, do you all have the horrid weather today? We've got 60mph winds here so i'm planning on spending the day on the sofa with Odie.. (well, I might do a little bit of housework, but I'm feeling pretty lazy!!) Our gazebo made a bid for freedom in the wind and made it from the super sheltered north facing patio behind the house all the way around to the side of the house! Is totally wrecked - off to buy a new one this weekend (and some weights to hold it down!!) I'm also getting one of these for the beach so it's easier to go there with Odie without worrying about finding shade for him (bun and i made comedy shelters with the buggys on the beach the other day - reckon this will be easier, if less funny looking!!) Roll on summer!!
