Just realised I haven't posted since Friday night (thanks fools) - I have a bit of an update but don't want to jinx things Grin But first a quick catch up...

Glad to hear everything's ok with you McKayz My first thought was she's getting ready to make an appearance so fingers crossed that she does!

Hope you managed a better nights sleep last night Bun I've told asked DH to sleep out on his next night out (BBQ at his mates). He hadn't had a drink since Christmas so he'll be leathered after 2 pints, I'm sure Grin But I don't want DS seeing him drunk, so he's stopping over at his mates house Smile Hope your DH has been looking after you since.

Nice, Trouble Grin Nothing like an early morning shower Wink

Pretty bag ellie, but £50 is a bit steep for me! But then if you're going to have more babies at any point, then it is an investment Grin

How did the happy families go fools? Ok I hope? Smile

So, Lauren had another night in her cot last night and did really well. She woke for the usual feeds at 10/3/7, and it took me about half an hour to settle her back down after each feed, but then she was fine Grin We're trying again tonight, and so far so good, but I'm not counting my chickens. And also we're trying feeds without the shields today as well because she knocked it off mid feed and I didn't have time to sort it before she latched onto me Grin Only done 2 so far, but all ok, if a bit tender, so far Grin And on that note, I'm going to try get some sleep before she wakes up again - night all! Grin

Davinaaddict · 17/06/2012 23:44

Ooh and forgot to add, Lauren's really started talking to us in the last couple of days as well! She's got some lovely gurgles and a few baby dinosaur noises too Grin

Right it's really bed time now. She decided after my last post that it was dinner time again! But she's finally settled now so going to post and run Grin Well, put my phone on airplane mode anyway!

foolserrand · 17/06/2012 23:52

Good luck tonight Davina! I'm staying up ogling watching Bear Grylls. Be will be my second husband :o

Hope the silence is a good thing, Mckayz, have the old pom poms ready!

TroubleAndFyfe · 18/06/2012 06:54

Hope everyone had a good night?
Poor wee Fyfe is ill Sad I noticed yesterday morning that he had a bit of a cough and was a bit snotty then when we got home at 1 after a 5 min drive from Granny's he was asleep in his car seat so I left him there - he slept till 3! Cough much worse - gave him a change and feed and he slept till 6, then again till 9! Shock went to bed at 10.30 and woke for feeds at 1,3,5 and 6. He only seems to be coughing when awake so hopefully he'll manage a lot of sleep again today so he can concentrate on getting better. It's unbelievable how Sad I am...it's only a cold!

foolserrand · 18/06/2012 08:26

Oh Trouble! Poor Fyfe. It is terrible when they're ill. They always seem so tiny and vulnerable, even when they're hulking great three year olds!

So, we tried ds without night time pull ups last night. He didn't make it unfortunately, odd considering he is normally dry in them. Still, doesn't matter, we will just try again tonight. Darling dh got up to deal with it. This consisted of taking ds' bottoms off and putting new ones on. He left the bed made. What a total prat! We were talking this morning and he actually said, "you know, I probably should have stripped that. Ah well, you can do it this morning."

Yesterday's family day..... oh it was fun! Ds loved it, a fire engine complete with beautiful firemen, police car, bouncy castle, draught horses pulling a cart, face painting and an entire putting green to run around. We also had to go for dinner at theirs. It all seems so fake now. :( I pity my mum and am completely disappointed in my dad... I feel like their parent!

I know I'm probably missing loads of posts at the moment so I'm sorry, just can't shake my little bubble of me me me. Shall resume normal function soon!

TroubleAndFyfe · 18/06/2012 08:52

It must be awful for you fools! Sad it's a lot to deal with; please do keep offloading here. Smile

McKayz · 18/06/2012 15:03

Nothing happening really.

We went to see the Olympic torch this morning. Lots of standing about and walking. I actually thought I was going to give birth on the way home. So had a sit down when I got home and of course nothing. Just the occasional tightening that might have been a contraction.

Now having a quick bath before DS1 gets home and while DS2 is having a nap.

elliebug · 18/06/2012 15:17

Don't worry fools, moan away
Hope fyfe feels better soon
I thought you lived ages away from me mckayz but you can't be that far cos the torch is coming here too! I'm not going though!! Am about to ring the gp to see if they managed to sort a prescription for jake, fingers crossed

McKayz · 18/06/2012 15:27

Ellie I live where it got off the train. It was good fun. But I'm paying for it now. I walk like a cowboy

AnchorBun · 18/06/2012 16:59

Aww poor Fools, McKayz and Fyfe*! Sad
It must be so difficult for you Fools, I hope you can find a way of dealing with it soon, but in the mean timewe're happy to listen/read Smile
McKays I was actually clenching all my pelvic muscles then remembering the pain of the last stage of pregnancy, you have my sympathies! But it's sounding really positive that things are happening so the end is in sight!
Trouble it's so miserable when they're ill, would do anything to be ill instead. Hope all the sleep pays off and he's feeling better soon Bear

Fingers crossed that everything's sorted asap Ellie!

Another bad night's sleep for me - Lilly has taken to waking for a feed at 4am and staying awake until about 6.30 Confused so by the time I start falling back to sleep, DS is awake

Soooo much vomitSad zzzzzz

McKayz · 19/06/2012 05:01

Oh Ellie Sad

I've just had a show!! No contractions yet though. But FS2 was born 12 hours after my show with him.

McKayz · 19/06/2012 05:01

FS2?? DS2

MammaInTheMaking · 19/06/2012 07:56

Go McKayz!! Keep us updated on progress. There will be Pom poms ready on this thread for you and the little lady!

Poor you and Jake ellie. Has it been all night? I hope it eases up today and you 2 get some rest.

I'm celebrating because Violet slept the whole night in her Moses basket. That vile thing she wouldn't even look at before! And we've discovered that she loves being swaddled. She only woke up for 1 feed in the night too so we've done 11pm - 7:30am with 1 wake up! We're feeling very rested today and I'm sure Violet's going to be on good form. She was quite unsettled yesterday. Today we're off to get her registered. Smile

McKayz · 19/06/2012 08:00

I think it might of all stopped now.

So I'm in a pool for no reason. Sad

Davinaaddict · 19/06/2012 08:48

Ooh and forgot to add, Lauren's really started talking to us in the last couple of days as well! She's got some lovely gurgles and a few baby dinosaur noises too Grin

Right it's really bed time now. She decided after my last post that it was dinner time again! But she's finally settled now so going to post and run Grin Well, put my phone on airplane mode anyway!

Sorry Fyfe is poorly Trouble Sad Hope he gets better soon. I think Lauren's finally over the most of her cold, thank goodness. At least she's able to breathe and have her dummy in now Smile

Sorry the family day wasn't too great fools, but glad that DS enjoyed it.

I think we're going to watch the Olympic torch on Sunday - its supposed to come up the road at the end of ours. Although there's an event on, down in Huddersfield, so we might go to that instead. Probably more on for DS than being stood on the side of the road next to Asda Grin

How was last night with Lilly, Bun? Better I hope. Smile

Sad at all the vomit ellie Any better with the different milks? Have you tried soy milk? disclaimer I know bugger all about ff! /intolerances. Just wondering whether it might be easier on his poor tummy?Sad

So, that was the 3rd night of Lauren being in her cot all night and it seems to be going quite well although I'm sure that will change now I've said that! Grin But I'm taking every night as it comes. I swear it's like having a different baby this week! Oh and we're still off the shields - yay! And 6 weeks earlier than with DS so I'm really pleased Smile

We're going off for another walk today I think - very motivated after losing a couple of pounds last week so we're going to try for at least 2 long walks (2miles plus) this week, maybe 3 if we can. In face if I'm feeling really brave, I might even walk to town and back (2miles each way!) Grin Hope you all have a lovely day in the sun - ooh have you a garden to labour in McKayz? GrinWink

Davinaaddict · 19/06/2012 08:50

Ok no idea how I did that! Ignore the first bit of duplicate post and skip straight to paragraph 3! Grin

elliebug · 19/06/2012 10:06

Go mckayz, hopefully your having painless contractions, today is a lovely sunny day to be born, or spend in a pool Smile I'm desperate to take jake swimming but need a new cossie
I think this mega vomit was a one off, it involved 2 changes of jake, 2 changes of the bed and starting the washing machineHmm in general he is much better with the new milk, soy isn't advised in under ones cos it has a lot of some hormone in.
Yay for violet's sleeping I'm not Envy at all, oh no!!

elliebug · 19/06/2012 10:09

Oh and yay for Lauren and the good sleeping and eating Grin

foolserrand · 19/06/2012 15:12

Just popping on to rave about .... my new clothes airer. It is huge! I have a large machine and it holds 3 loads! Everyone must get one!

elliebug · 19/06/2012 15:29

Wow fools, that is a beaut bet you're well proud Grin
I was a bit Hmm earlier, went for an appt and the man asked something and I said 'no I was up in the night with my son' and he gave me the weirdest look and said you look far too young to have children!! He seemed really taken aback! I know I look young but I am 26!! Where I live I should be a granny! He had my dob in front of him. Not sure what my point is, it was just a bit weird, want a mr whippy now ....

McKayz · 19/06/2012 15:38

Ellie. I am 26 too and I am practically considered old and past it when it comes to having children.

TroubleAndFyfe · 19/06/2012 16:06

Someone commented on my pigeon street purse earlier and said that (unlike me) she was old enough to remember it! I told her I was 30 (I do look it!) but was a bit Confused as to why I would have the purse if I didn't know the programme?Grin

TroubleAndFyfe · 19/06/2012 16:23

fools draw something said you nudged me but the game with you has disappeared??
