Ok I'll go with it then Smile I am really loving the snuggles in bed and wouldn't change them at the moment. She sleeps on our chests, doesn't like being next to us on the bed. We did go out with her in the sling yesterday which she (and I) loved. Plus then I got to do stuff with both hands.

Oh another question...do you set alarms for night feeds or just go with when they wake up and demand a feed?

fools if your run got rained off what else would you be expected to do other than wine and choc? Wink

Davinaaddict · 15/06/2012 07:31

Wait for her to wake up for night feeds. There is a saying - never wake a sleeping baby! It's a good one to follow Smile

I had the worst night ever last night. I've no idea what was wrong with the little madam last night, but it took until after half 3 until she finally went to sleep. Of course she's back up now for a feed but I'm praying she goes straight back down for some more sleep Sad

Hope you enjoyed wine and chocs fools Much better for you than nasty running WinkGrin

Oh, Davina! Ds was just like this. It wasn't such an issue for me as he was pfb and I really did sleep every time he did. Fingers crossed you get a little more sleep today and a much better night.

Mamma, I don't wake Flissy up for feeds, she wakes me. Yawn! Definitely enjoy cuddles while you can! Nothing lasts forever and soon enough they will be teens and embarrassed of us! Just ignore those who say you are making a rod for your own back because they're twat. Only you know what is best for you and violet. Other people can offer advice, but ultimately, you'll know if it will work for you or not.

We have the ultimate catastrophe here this morning, 3 missing hot wheels cars! 1 orange mini, 1 green convertible beetle and 1 brown thing that looks a bit like a golf buggy or moon buggy. Their safe return would be much appreciated. I'm about to start lifting furniture so he can hunt.

Woohoo Bun! That's great news Grin

Hope you've managed to find the cars fools

So after being kept up last night until gone half 3 (YAWN!), Lauren woke me up at 7 then 10 for feeds. I got her up and dressed at 10 in between swapping boobs Grin Then of course she fell straight back to sleep giving me enough time to shower, moisturise, get dressed, brush teeth, do hair, have breakfast, put a load I washing on, sterilise the shields, check the finances and sit on my bum for a bit and she's STILL asleep!! I want to go out now Grin Might have to go prod her Wink

Here goes, yay bun Grin fools hope you found the cars! Davina, have a nap and mamma I second whoever said do whatever to get the most sleep, jake sleep snuggled up to me at night and on me/his dad during day, unfortunately I don't get much housework done Grin
I was on a have a moan but feel a bit silly now Smile got some aptimal pepti for jake from the gp so hopefully that will stay down better although he vomited his entire breast milk feed earlier

Report
Davinaaddict · 15/06/2012 14:00

Ok can I go wake her up now?! She's been asleep for aaaaaages and I'm not tired enough for a nap now Hmm

Sorry if you've already said ellie but has Jake got reflux? It sounds like he's being sick a lot, from your posts, but if he's also vomiting his breast milk, that might suggest to me that it's not necessarily the formula that's the problem? Smile

elliebug · 15/06/2012 15:00

I think he has davina, but neither the gp or hv believe me, I managed to persuade them to refer me to the hosp so fingers crossed they will Confused am just glad I can stop stressing about pumping and get my boobs back Grin the rustle of breast pads really ruins the moment if you know what I meanWink

Managed to catch up now, I can only agree with what's already been said! Grin

I taught myself to knit yesterday! - random I know, but I'm rather proud! Casting on and off and two different stitches in an evening, now I just have to learn how to do hole-free knitting... Hmm Grin

Now I must step away from the laptop as I'm raging after some prick an ex- school friend I have now blocked on Facebook after informing him of his idiocy, twattery and general bad humanness said that he thinks the whole world should follow China's footsteps wrt restrictions (or a ban in his words!) on childbirth Shock to 'back up' his point he linked to an article on forced abortions at 7 months gestation and gender selection Angry Angry Angry Angry
It's apparently of 'helping the planet'. Confused Nut job.

The opinions of that twat make me feel sick. 7 months gestation...?????? No wonder you blocked him....

Fab news about Lilly!!!!!! GrinGrinGrin

I set my alarm for feeds 1 night and found it awful despite doing the same number of feeds as non-alarm nights. Will be keeping the alarms off then!

My milk is going from yellow to whitish now and lots more of it too. Violet's loving her feeds and I am too Grin

How was Lauren's afternoon davina? Wink did she get a poke?

Davinaaddict · 15/06/2012 21:37

No I wasn't quite that mean Grin I heard her shuffling around so went upstairs and she was lying there with her eyes open Smile So we had a feed and then popped off to see SIL et al where she spent most of the time crying Sad She's such a drama queen! Grin

Get in! 3-2 to England! GrinGrinGrin Loving the Chris Moyles alternative commentary too Grin

:o Trouble no, he has enough to keep him busy. I just have to find the bastarding things!

My newly epilated legs feel like leaden jelly.... and I may have made fool dog 2 lame Blush. On the plus side, this means I have officially jumped back on the couch 2 5k wagon.

That is brilliant news, Mamma! :o :o :o I literally just whooped loudly. Pour Flissy jumped (she was asleep and nursing. Bad mummy!

Sounds like Lauren is slowly getting used to this sleep thing. That must be a relief!

How did England do?

Davinaaddict · 16/06/2012 00:11

3-2 in the end which means we knocked Sweden out Grin

I'm not convinced about Lauren getting this sleep malarky yet. Sad She used to have it as right time, wrong place, now it doesn't even seem to be right time! Ask me again in the morning though

Morning,

Bun I forgot to say YAY for being discharged!!

My plan of doing nothing is doing nothing Grin

I have given in to the fact she is probably waiting for her Daddy to come home.

I enjoyed the football last night, especially Theo!!! Gotta keep supporting my Arsenal boys!!!

I don't think the boys are missing me. They didn't want to talk to me when I rang up, they were having too much fun with Granddad.

Report
elliebug · 16/06/2012 09:34

Mckayz I'm sure the boys are missing you, you know men can't show their emotions Smile when is daddy home? Soon?
Another yay for being discharged bun
So, of jakes last five feeds 3 have been formula and 2 breast milk, 3 have been lovely- feed, burp, sleep and 2 have involved exorcist style vomiting and multiple changes of clothes for us both, is breast really bestConfused

DH is due home on 4th July. But I will be induced on the 2nd July. So either way he'll miss it. But that is what everyone says to me. As well as the "haven't you had the baby yet?" Yes obviously I have, she is at home with the dog and I have got a ball up my top!!! Why do they ask such a dumb question?

There is no shame using formula if it works out better for you and Jake.
