OMG! That gave me goose pimples fools! You said you wanted another but OMG! When are you going to POAS?!

AnchorBun · 04/07/2012 18:35

Shock How the hell did you forget that?! Wow! ...what Trouble said!

Just some cup cakes to go on the stand - still have absolutely no idea what 'design' we want yet though. ...stuff the cup cakes! When are you POAS??

MammaInTheMaking · 04/07/2012 18:50

Squeal fools!!!! POAS time Smile

foolserrand · 04/07/2012 18:59

Yes, I want another. Turns out not yet! :o

Can I not poas and just hope I'm sick?

ghosteditor · 04/07/2012 18:59

Omg, POAS on a graduate thread? Eeeel! Grin

ghosteditor · 04/07/2012 19:04

I meant 'eeek ' Grin

He sounds like a proper little trooper fools Smile. As a veteran of black eyes (hockey!) I wouldn't bother having it seen unless it's excruciating for him to touch (it's hard to break a cheek bone), or if it swells so that he can't see.

Is it in a place into which you can rub arnica cream? It will bring out the bruising faster and help it to heal.

On the other hand, DD has bumped her head twice today and has two welts. She was 'safely' on the floor both times, but managed through pseudo crawling and rolling to hit her head on hard things. I was in the room but she moves fast!

I kind of assumed that by the time she could crawl she would have the sense not to headbutt things repeatedly Confused

ghosteditor · 04/07/2012 19:05

Doh! Where I was going with that last post was to commiserate that I'm starting to understand how truly awful it is when they hurt themselves - no wonder my mum won't watch me play hockey!

foolserrand · 04/07/2012 19:08

Thanks ghost. It's directly under his eye, the soft bit, so I don't think rubbing cream is wise. He's let me poke him and ice it so I shall be content with that and give him more calpol before bed.

I am not poas. You lot aren't being very helpful! You were supposed to say how unlikely it is.

McKayz · 04/07/2012 19:22

Fools POAS woman!!! Grin

I hope DS's eye is ok.

AnchorBun · 04/07/2012 19:51

POAS! POAS! POAS! POAS! POAS! POAS! POAS!!!

Grin

You'll be fine Fools. Either way Smile

POAS Grin

foolserrand · 04/07/2012 20:14

Ah, but I'm not an emotional mess (ignores the fact the tears didn't come until later). Tell you what, if I feel the same in the morning, I'll go buy a test after my birthday

Dh is not happy. He wanted the snip!

Davinaaddict · 04/07/2012 20:24

It's really unlikely fools but not so if you've not been very careful Grin POAS now please, so we can be very supportive when you get the results Grin Anyway, we've all had our babies, so it must be time for another pregnancy Wink

Hope DS's eye is ok - I sympathise as my DS came gone yesterday sporting a lovely cut and bruise on his forehead. Apparently the kids had been playing out on the bikes and DS was trying to avoid colliding with his buddy, so he turned the bike so quickly, he threw himself off it Hmm Once I realised he was ok, I had to have a little Grin Nutcase that he is!

I see you've learnt the Assume rule ghost Grin They can be little buggers, even when you are watching them! Hope Jools is ok Smile

Your cake sounds amazing Bun! Smile

Davinaaddict · 04/07/2012 20:27

Ooh lots of cross posts! Well, in the name of the legendary Jeremy Kyle, if he didn't want another baby, he should have put something on the end of it Grin

Grin
foolserrand · 04/07/2012 21:25

He's allergic! :o diddums, eh?

Ah, I'm used to banged heads and gashes in the hairline but they really are awful. Think it was the noise that made this seem so much worse and he cried. Ds isn't one for tears after a fall.

I have almost convinced myself there is no need to poas. It just can't be possible.

Davinaaddict · 04/07/2012 21:55

In that case then he should not abstain Grin

I hate the bangs and the knocks, so I'm quite glad that most of them happen when DS is at crèche and that it's DH that gets the phone call. Although I'm dreading the day that I get a phone call from DH as I know it'll be serious Sad

Speaking of which, DH is in the doghouse a bit. We're going away this weekend, albeit to 'my' sisters, and he's done bugger all to get ready for it Angry Well in his words, I've got two shirts out Hmm I've ironed and packed all the kids stuff, got the suitcases down from the loft, done all the washing and drying and kept up with what housework I could. I've still loads to do. But I'm out most of tomorrow and then I'll have DS to bring home from Grans. Then on Friday, I have to pack the car on my own (praying for Lauren to sleep so I can), then get over to Leeds to pick him & DS up for half 3 Confused Granted, he'll most likely do most of the driving as I hate motorways, but I'm sure it's still not equal! Especially since he spends most evenings in front if his bloody laptop! Angry Sorry - small thing adding up to piss me off, and I haven't spoken to him as I'll probably just go off on one Blush But I feel a bit better for having a rant Smile

foolserrand · 04/07/2012 22:19

Bloody men! Even the most enlightened of them have caveman days I think where they believe little fairies do it all and we are just sitting with our feet up all day. Hence they copy us in the evenings! Are you looking forward to the trip though?

I'm quietly freaking myself out here again. Popped to the loo (advanced warning of tmi) and when I wiped, it was a little pink. I'm too tired for this now! Am I, aren't I? I thought I'd put this behind me for at least another 5 months.

I may cave and buy a test tomorrow. Oh balls.

AnchorBun · 04/07/2012 22:36

Buy a test Fools, you need to out your mind at ease. Smile

Davina I also have a man inexplicably blind to jobs that need doing! He's far better than he used to be though, after much bollocking guidance Grin

I'm Googling short curly hairstyles. It's futile though, I have no idea what does and doesn't suit me (I apparently have a messed up view of myself). My hair is a disaster area atm (split ends galore, dry and frizzy) so something drastic has to happen! Hairdressers at the weekend I think!

foolserrand · 04/07/2012 22:55

What's your face shape Bun? I'm sure we can help :)

AnchorBun · 04/07/2012 23:37

Thanks! Smile Erm... big. and round. Grin

There's a few pics here

McKayz · 05/07/2012 03:54

DH isn't going to be home until sometime next week now. The guy replacing him still needs his passport back from the Angolan Embassy. Useless people.

foolserrand · 05/07/2012 06:46

Oh no! McKayz that sucks. Was thinking about you this morning and hoping you get rain. It's only a few more days, but I'm sure that isn't much comfort to you right now.

Bun, do you really want a short style? Do you just want a big change? Short and curly is a dangerous style to wear on your head :o

No sickness this morning so I think we are safe. Although, Flissy managed 11.45 until 5.20 this morning. She's gone back to sleep now and ds has yet to emerge. I don't know what to do with myself! Speak of the devil, he's just come for a cuddle. His eye looks awful :(

AnchorBun · 05/07/2012 07:21

Oh no McKayz, sorry to hear that Sad

Shock Fools how rude! Wink Grin this I know, would just look like a fluffy football Grin don't mean short short, maybe just reaching my shoulders (that's short for me because I'm used to it being halfway down my back), still too short do you think?

Poor boy Sad give him a from me. Resilient little blighters they are though. Smile

ghosteditor · 05/07/2012 08:52

Oh no mckayz, I know what that feels like, it's dreadful when they are delayed, but doubly so in your case this time. Hang on a few more days...
