Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

Hello everyone, I'm not actually pg so shouldn't be here but had DD in feb last year - I spotted the feb 2013 on active discussions and I couldn't believe how quickly time flies Shock . I was on the feb 2011 an board and we are still going strong on pn Grin

dexi I'm so so sorry to hear your news, I hope you are OK and looking after yourself.

I really popped on to say feb is a fab time to have a baby Grin - you are huge when the weather is cold so you get kept nice and warm and when it's those last few months you have christmas to look forward to and keep you busy so before you know it's you're at your due date, then when you have a LO it's all nice and springy outside so you can take them for walks in the sun . I can barely believe it's 2 years since I was in your position - it's gone so quickly.

Good luck to everyone here. x;

Dexidoo, I'm really sorry. That's devastating.

So, every time I got up from my chair today I wobbled, including in front of an important person I had to meet for work (he nearly had to catch me). Anyone else had that one?
x

Dexidoo-really sorry to hear your news-I had a MC a few months ago and remember just how horrible it was. I hope you take some time out to recuperate, it took me more time than I thought to really recover> Make sure you're getting lots of TLC.

Hi,

Not sure here is the right place to post but had a faint BFP on CB plus on Sunday first thing. Did another test on Monday (Tesco cheapie) again faint line - so assumed later on in day so would be but then did another test this morning (tesco cheapie) - really faint again. Doesn't look good does it?

I know I should just wait and see but it is driving me mad! Any thoughts?

Hello everyone, would love to join - I'm about 5 weeks with my first baby and very excited. No morning sickness yet but Sironetta yes me too, lots of head spinning when moving too quickly etc. The EDD calculator puts me at 06/02/2013 and have my booking appointment next week.

reastie, thanks for taking the time to post - that's lovely to hear about seasonal timings!

Riot tesco tests are shit. Try a first response hope its good news. I got a bfn on a tesco and a good positive on a first response last time. Fx for you.

Sorry to hear your news dexidoo.

I think I have just spotted a faint line cheese!

I'll bugger off for a few days as its far too early to get excited. And of course I haven't looked up an edd or anything like that, that would be silly Grin

Sorry to hear, Dexidoo :( I don't really know what to say, I'm always shit in these situations, and I can only imagine how I would feel... Thinking of you anyway x

Welcome Riotgrrrl :) Don't worry too much. I had two or three very, very faint BFPs a few days before my ebay cheap ones arrived. I was convinced the "almost shadow" lines that were appearing where just part of the test. When my cheapies arrived, they started getting darker and darker over a few days, and now (yes, still testing Grin) I'm churning out nice dark lines and getting all sorts of pregnancy symptoms. I would recommend the cheap tests you can get from ebay if you're unsuccessful this month and are TTCing, you get 25 for a few £ so they really come in handy. I can send a couple to you in the post if you like?

Welcome too, toomuchribbon. :) Congratulations on your BFP!

Thanks for confirming my excitement, reastie! It was one of the first things I thought, "Ooh, a winter pregnancy! A spring baby!" After going into labour the first day of a week long heatwave with DD (3 day labour and then 10 days in hospital after she was born), I MUCH prefer the idea of nice cold weather when I get that big and uncomfortable.

Also hoping you're back after the weekend, WhosPickle!

Thanks, Babylann. Just don't know what to think. With other DC always got very dark line from the start so a bit Confused How would I find those tests on ebay?

I suppose I am just really worried that the line is getting fainter rather than darker so it is a chemical pregnancy.

Report
WhosPickleisThatOnion · 06/06/2012 11:27

Look on amazon too they have cheapies. But I don't find them as good as frers for me, I didn't get strong lines on them until way after my period was due.

BabylannShallFall · 06/06/2012 11:32

I just typed in "pregnancy tests" in the ebay search panel and they came up straight away. Some have a buy it now option if you're in a rush, but they'll obviously still take a few days to come. A lot of them have free P&P, and they're also private listing so you don't have to leave them feedback etc. They're supposedly very good for early detection.

Once I got a handful of BFPs from them, I got DP to pee on one as a scientific experiment to see if they were just faulty, and he got a BFN, so!

Then I decided to triple check and bought some official ones from the supermarket, and got BFPs on them too.

You can never be too thorough Grin

I was due on Sunday and never normally test for at least another week so it could just be normal for me but the lines just don't seem to be getting darker.

How long did it take for yours to get stronger?

Report
BabylannShallFall · 06/06/2012 11:35

Hmm... I took my first two tests (the very very faint ones) on Monday, and then I started getting stronger but still faint BFPs on Thursday. It was by Sunday that they started getting stronger.

I have no idea when I was due or how late I am though as my periods are so irregular, they could be up to 90 days apart, and I hadn't had a period for about 60 days before getting my BFP, just one small incident of brown spotting (for less than a day) about 25 days before my BFPs started coming.

Report
WhosPickleisThatOnion · 06/06/2012 11:36

First time I tested about 13/14 dpo got a total negative on tescos. The next day got a bfp on a cheapie but very faint, and a stronger bfp on a frer.

So I would def. suggest trying the first response.

Internet one this morning was bfn and got a distinct pink but faint line on a frer.

My friend also got bfns on tescos at first, I just don't trust them!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 06/06/2012 11:39

I've got a stash of frers Internet cheapies and clearblue digis. I'll be peeing on them for days no doubt sending myself up the wall!

Thanks, Onion and Babylann, suppose time will tell and just have to wait and see - just feel bloody cross I hadn't left it until this weekend!

Will test again on Sat and get FR! (and some from amazon and ebay Wink)

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 06/06/2012 11:44

Amazon do really cheap frers compared to the chemist, I'd order your supplies in.

I'll be testing too so let me know how you get on! Fx for us!

Pickle - woo hooh! Get yourself a clearblue digital thingy - saves that whole 'is it a line or not?' scenario.......

Am still stressed about my lack of symptoms, if I just went off my tea I would feel a lot better, but am still necking the eight or so cups a day i usuall have (have switched to decaff though - which is probably why I'm drinking more than normal....)

Suffering with the post bank-hol blues though. Have done nothing at work this morning, apart from surf the internet, catch up with colleagues, change some course dates.....have decided am going to take all my annual leave after christmas ie 4 weeks, then start mat leave at start of feb, so only have another 6 and a half months of work, factoring in holidays etc leaves about 5 and a half months of actual work! AWESOME!!!

I didn't work for weeks after my bfp last time. Just got the young lads in the office to bring me a constant flow of tea!!

Self employed now, so a lot to think about.

It's a def line cheese! So early though. Going to test pretty much constantly now for four or five days!!!
